...Two

13:59, 20 July 2018

"Oh my god, Karlie. Are you here!?" I heard someone ask me loudly as I opened my eyes and looked into her light blue ones.

"What.." I mumbled. "What the hell are you doing here?"

I was laying on the couch in my living room and Taylor was sitting next to me.

"I.. uhmm.. came in to check if you were okay. I uhmm.. felt that something was wrong." She said, looking down at me.

"What happened?" I asked the blonde.

"You fell." She simply stated.

"I fell?" I wondered out loud, closing my eyes again to think about what happened.

Taylor and me walking into my street. Taylor looking beautiful in that faint moonlight. Okay no, focus Karlie.

Taylor wanting to leave. Taylor scratching my hand open. Me walking inside my house. Me falling randomly onto the ground. Taylor being in my house out of nowhere.

"How did you get in here?" I asked, my voice uncertain.

"You.. uhmm left the door open." Taylor said, her blue eyes shining even in the faint light that is lighting up my small living room.

"You're strange." I blurted out. She looked shocked at me then.

"Im sorry. Are you still angry?" She asked then, looking down at her hands. I felt bad for her, even though she is the one who hurt me and not the other way around.

"I.. uhmm I just find it a bit weird. Like the whole scratching thing." I explained. She looked up again.

"Sorry. I wish I could explain, Karlie." She said softly while looking into my eyes.

"Explain it to me then?" I asked while looking into those light blue eyes.

"I cant..." She said then, getting up from the couch. "I have to go." She continued as she stood beside the couch now and looked down at me. "I think the wound on your hand will be okay. Its not full moon.. uhmm it doesn't look infected."

Did she just say 'full moon'?

"But Taylor, I.." I started.

"Karlie, I'm going. Ill see you around, maybe." She said strictly, her blue eyes looking sad.

"Okay.." I said as she'd already left the room and was walking into the hallway now.

The door slammed shut and I was alone again. I decided to walk over to my bedroom and fell into a deep sleep immediately.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I opened my eyes and felt that they were burning. I blinked a few times to get rid of unpleasant feeling,  but it stayed there even after five minutes of me ridiculously blinking. Getting up from my bed, I decided to get into the shower, get ready and make myself a nice breakfast after. It was Saturday morning and I didn't plan on doing anything specific.

I walked into the bathroom, put the shower on, stripped out of my clothes and let the warm water relax my body as I stepped into the steamy cabin. I hadn't really taken a look at that cut on my hand yet, that Taylor created. I held my hand up and saw that the cut was completely gone.

"How?" I mumbled as I blinked a few times more to correctly see my hand and its outlines. My vision was quite blurry this day but I knew for sure that there was not a single sign of a cut or what so ever on my hand.

'Was it all a dream?' I found myself thinking.

"No it couldn't have been a dream."

I washed my body with some soap and did the same with my hair, before getting out of the shower. I wrapped a towel around me as I walked out of the bathroom and into the kitchen. I was starving and had a particular hunger for bacon or something like that. Im vegetarian though so that was kind of a weird feeling.

I decided on making a thick omelette, without meat though. As I cooked, I felt that my eyes were not hurting anymore and that my vision was really good again. But like, really good. Extremely good.

"Thats odd." I mumbled.

What a weird day already.

I finished breakfast after a while and walked into my bedroom to get dressed. I got a black sweater out of the closet, together with some light blue skinny jeans. When I was all dressed, I walked back into the bathroom to brush my teeth and my hair and all that. The mirror was still foggy from the hot shower I had taken a little earlier. I wiped the fog away with my hand and looked into the mirror.

"What the.." I mumble as I examined my face. Particularly my eyes. They were this extremely light, unnatural color of green this morning. Almost neon green. Just like Taylor's eyes, but then green instead of blue.

"Oh my god." I mumbled as I stared into my strange looking eyes."I have to find Taylor."

Taylor the strange, mysterious girl with the overly light blue eyes. Taylor who scratched me last night and made a deep cut on my hand which is completely gone right now. Taylor who had said something about the full moon and had stopped talking mid sentence.

"Taylor.."

I ran out of the bathroom and grabbed my coat out of the hallway. I didn't care that I wasn't wearing any makeup. I opened the front door and ran outside.

"Where do I even find her?" I mumbled as I walked down the street. I decided to put my hood on as I didn't want people to see my weird looking eyes. Also, it was pretty cold this first day of November.

'The forest.' I suddenly thought. Maybe she is there.

I ran off in the direction Taylor and I had walked towards the day before. The streets were still wet after it had rained the whole night. The sky looked grey and cloudy. It actually looked like it was already 9pm instead of 10am in the morning.

After about ten minutes of solid running, I stopped for a moment and started looking for which direction we had walked yesterday. It surprised me that I wasn't even out of breath or even slightly tired.

I saw the narrow, creepy looking alleyway where Taylor had scared me the night before. I decided to be brave once again and headed into the alley.

"You better be here." I mumble as I passed the scary looking bushes and finally see the the forest we'd visited last night, dooming up from the ground. I headed into the pathway that lead to the edge of the forest and stopped when the road stopped too.

"Okay Karlie, be brave for once." I said to myself as I stepped off the path and walked towards the same direction as we did the night before.

'She told me last night, that she wanted to show me something cool. Her second home she said.' I thought while walking quickly over those same slippery branches as last night.

"Where are you?" I mumbled as I reached an area now that we certainly didn't visit earlier. The trees got thicker and were standing closer to one another now, making it harder to find my way through the thick bushes. I looked up at the sky and noticed that I couldn't even see it anymore. All that I saw now where the tops of the many trees surrounding me.

I reached for my phone in my pocket to use the flashlight function on it once more, since it was getting pretty dark down here. But then an unpleasant thought filled my head. 'I didn't bring my phone.'

"Great." I said out loud as I pushed yet another set of bushes out of my way. Then suddenly the trees and bushes got thinner again as I kept on walking straight forward. A huge lake doomed up out of nowhere, surrounded by dark grey stones. The water looked dark blue in the greyish light that the sky was providing that day. Above the lake, a white mist was floating. The whole place looked dark and deserted but yet beautiful.

'This must be the place she meant.' I thought as I stepped off the muddy ground and onto the grey stones. I looked across the lake and saw a little forest cabin hiding there, on the edge of both the water and the trees.

"Taylor?" I shouted, hoping she would just walk out of there. Of course she didn't and I had to walk all the way there to see if someone was there or not. I have to say, this lake looked beautiful. It did. But it had some mysterious feeling hanging there around it. Or maybe it was just me becoming paranoid of this whole situation.

I walked right next to the lake for a while, making quite a lot of sound with every step I took, caused by the hundreds of pebbles covering the ground. I then had to walk into the dark looking forrest for a bit again, because the lake had no edge here. I pushed a few branches aside and walked into the dark again. Then I heard a loud crack and suddenly saw a certain blue eyed girl standing in front of me. I jumped backwards, not expecting the sudden encounter. I tripped over a branch and fell onto the ground.

"What are you doing here?" The blue eyed girl asked. It was Taylor, I could hear that because I recognized her voice. She sounded slightly amused, like she'd hoped for me to come visit.

"I.. uhhm." I mumbled. "I think I need your help." I got up from the ground again, leaning against a tree.

"I already knew you would search for me. I just didn't think you would find me here." Taylor says, her light blue eyes staring at me. I still had my hood partly covering my face in these dark surroundings. She reached for it though and pushed it off my head. She then seemed to see my eyes for the first time and gasped in shock.

"Oh my god, your eyes." She breathed out.

"Yeah, thats what I need your help with. Your eyes are also like that, I thought maybe you could help me?" I said, smiling slightly at the gorgeous looking girl.

"Come with me." She said, her voice and face serious as she turned around and walked away from me. This Taylor was a lot different then the Taylor I had met the day before. That Taylor had been sweet, kind, funny and well a little bit mysterious but thats all. This Taylor was cold, serious and even a bit scary.

I decided to push my thoughts away again though and followed the girl with the long blonde curls. We seemed to walk towards the cabin I noticed because after about five more minutes of silently walking through the dark forrest, we'd reached the lake again. We set foot on the grey stones and reached the cabin after walking for about five more minutes.

"Come in." She said after opening the door for me.

I walked into the small cabin and saw a big bed, standing in the middle of it. A fire was softly making cracking sounds in the fireplace. And a little kitchen was placed in the corner of the room. There was one more door, presumably the bathroom. I took a step forward, into the cabin and saw two chairs and a small table standing in another corner.

"This is.. uhhm cool.. cool place." I said, mentally kicking myself after saying something so dumb in a situation like this.

"Thanks." Taylor said softly, closing the front door. It immediately got warmer in the room and I took my coat off.

"Sit down." Taylor says, pointing to one of the chairs. "Sorry, I don't really have anything else to drink but some water." She said, her face seems a little more relaxed now as she opened the fridge and looked at me.

She looks so pretty.

Uhm hey, shake those thoughts away Kloss. Focus.

"Just some water then please." I said politely. She poured two glasses of water and sat down across of me.

"So.." I said awkwardly after taking a sip of the cool water. My hands felt extremely cold as I held the cold glass into my hands.

"You wonder why you have neon green eyes now, huh?" Taylor asked drily, looking into my eyes with her bright blue ones. I let out a nervous laugh.

"Kinda." I said, smiling at the mysterious blonde.

"I am really sorry, Karlie. I never, ever should've scratched you b-but Im literally just almost a full grown and I couldn't contain myself. And I was scared when you grabbed my arm and then I-I just felt it coming up already and I.. I just wildened.." She stutters, her cold and serious side, completely gone.

'She what? Wildened?' I thought. What is this girl talking about?

"Woah, woah, woah.. Slow down.." I said, putting my hand on top of the stressed out blonde's in front of me. She looked down at our hands and for a second and moved her hand back slightly.

"Don't." I said. She kept her hand still and looked up at me.

"You.." She mumbled. "You don't know what I did." She moved both of her hands to her face now and quiet sobs started to fill the cabin. I didn't know what to do so I just reached for her hand again from across the table and held on to it until she seemed to calm down a little.

"Please explain Taylor." I said as I saw her wiping some tears from her cheeks angrily. I didn't let go of her hand though, and neither did she.

"I.. I can't explain. Everything will go wrong. They will kill us, Karlie." She said, her eyebrows raised in panic.

Is she serious? What is this girl talking about?

"Who will?" I asked, growing confused and scared now.

"The packs. All of them." She said, her voice trembling.

"Packs?" I asked, wanting to know more.

"You don't get it, Karlie!" She shouted then, getting up from the chair angrily, slamming her hands on the table.

Who is this girl?

"Then explain it to me, Taylor!" I shouted back, getting up too.

A loud growl filled the room. I looked around me to search for the thing that caused the sound but soon my eyes landed on Taylor again. Her eyes were that dark red color again, just like the night before when she scratched me.

"Taylor.." I said softly, taking a step backwards. "Calm down. Its okay." I decided to not look into her eyes, not wanting to make her angry.

Correction; What is this girl?

She growled once more, this time softer and more friendly. She sat down into the chair again. I looked up again and into her eyes. They were blue again but filled with tears.

"Im so sorry." She sobbed. "That keeps on happening lately."

I walked over to the vulnerable creature in front of me and enveloped her in a tight hug. She got up from the chair then and hugged me back, hard.

"Taylor. Cant. Breathe." I mumbled after about a minute. She let go of me and looked me in the eyes from close by.

"I need to show you something." She said softly. I nodded and waited for something to happen.

"We have to go outside again." She said, grabbing her own black coat from the coat hanger next to the door and walking outside out of the front door. I grabbed my own coat too and followed the blonde outside.

"Okay, this is going to look very weird and.. uhmm maybe scary. Ive almost become a full grown so my mood might shift a bit but ill try my best and be friendly." Taylor said once were standing in front of the lake on the grey stones.

"Wait, what?" I asked as she finished talking but she was already running away from me.

"What are you doing?" I ask as I started walking towards her.

"No!" She said loudly. "Stay there." Her voice cracked and turned lower at the last word. I immediately stopped walking towards her to stand still, my body already overtaken by fear.

That same loud growl filled the air and a white flash blinded my eyes for a mere second. I fell onto the ground when stepping backwards, tripping over my own feet. I opened my eyes again, hoping that the bright white light would be gone now. And it was.

I looked towards the place where Taylor had just been standing and instead of her slim, tall, human body. I saw a wolf sitting there.

"Taylor?" I said out loud. The wolf let out a soft growl.

I looked at the creature's light blue eyes and immediately recognized them.

"Oh my god, its you." I mumbled, my eyes wide.

Oh. My. God.

The wolf took a few steps towards me, it's blue eyes examining me. I got up from the ground and took a few steps backwards. Her fur was a bright white color, as white as the snow in winter actually.

"Can.. uhmm... can you talk?" I asked, my voice shaking.

She let out a low but friendly sounding growl again. She's about as tall as half my length while standing on four paws.

"Ill take that as a no." I said, relaxing a bit as I noticed that she didn't seem to want to do me any harm. She took a few more steps towards me and when she was close enough, she stroked against my legs with her head.

"You're beautiful." I mumbled as I reached out my hand to pet her. She looked at me with her blue eyes and I swear it seemed like she was smiling at me. She let out a soft, higher grunt and rubbed her head against my leg.

"Hey, you're gonna make me fall over." I laughed, my nerves faded away. Of course she did the same thing again, making me stumble backwards. I fell onto the ground filled with those grey pebbles.

"Look what you did now." I giggled. She was standing in front of me now, towering over me as I had to look up to look into her blue eyes. Her 'wolf eyes' looked exactly the same as her human ones. She rubbed her fur filled face, against my cheek playfully and made a cute sound.

"You're quite cute actually." I said while giggling. She made the same sound again, looked at me one more time but then walked away.

"What are you doing?" I asked, confused about where she was going now. I got up from the ground and started walking towards her again. She let out a loud growl once more and a white flash of light filled the atmosphere for a second. I shut my eyes quickly and stepped backwards, when I opened them again, it was not Taylor the wolf who stood at the edge of the lake, but Taylor the human figure. Okay the beautiful, tall, slim, blonde haired, blue eyed, Taylor figure to be all exact and accurate.

"Hi." She said as she walked towards me. She was fully dressed again in a green sweater with black skinny jeans underneath it. Also her cloak and black boots were on again. Her long, curly, blonde hair was swinging loosely over her shoulders as she approached me.

"H..hi.." I stuttered. "That was.. amazing."

"You think so?" She said, a small smile on her face. I just nodded quickly, still impressed by what I had just witnessed.

Is she.. a werewolf?

"Lets go inside again. I have a lot to tell you." She said, walking past me and towards the cabin.

"Y-yeah.." I mumble, following close behind her.

What did I get myself into?
