K17 "Maybe"

JENNIE'S POV

Aish seriously! Are they making this on purpose? I want to see that book already, it's making me curious how that fvckın book is so fvckın similar to most happening of my life.

I just finished reading my script for tomorrow. And based from it, Kai will be my ex on the movie. See, that's what I am saying. So all of this was just accidental? They are so good at choosing people to act for the role.

Well, what's my problem by the way? Kai and I is in good terms after we broke up so there won't be no problem. It's just making me curious of that book. I'll buy that soon and read it.

Evening is done, another day of shooting.

After doing all my morning rituals I went outside, got on my car and drove to the set.

In the middle of driving. I heard my phone rang inside my bag. Since there are only few cars I don't have to stop to get it. I answered the call, it's my manager Sang-eun unnie.

"Hey unnie, why did you call? I'm on my way now?"

"O sorry, can you go back, are you near the place already?" She asked

"I'm halfway now, why? Why do I need to go back? Does the shoot canceled?" I asked back

"Ahm no, sorry but can you go to Lisa's place. She called her manager a while ago, her car got a problem" She said

"So? I don't know how to fix car." I said with a little sarcasm

"Tss Jennie, that's not what I mean" she said and I bet she rolled her eyes while saying that. "What I mean is, can you go fetch her? Because her manager can't because Mr. Kwon ask him to do something important" she added

"I know what you mean unnie" I said still with sarcasm on my voice "Don't she have another car to use or can't she just take a cab or something" I refuse.

"Tsk, do you think that would be convenient to her?"

"Well yes, maybe" I answered

"Tssskk, why did I chose to call you by the way. We should have just accepted Jinny's offer to fetch Lisa right away" she said sounding annoyed

"Jinny?" I asked

"Yes, she voluntered to fetch Lisa after hearing that Lisa's car has a problem" she

"Why is she there?" I asked again. Why is she on set? O I forgot we'll shoot weekends today too. So they'll have a scene again. She's so early huh..tsk...

"She's part of the movie duh'" unnie with as-a-matter-of-fact tone. "Tsk.. okay bye, go here now. I'll just ask Jinny again to fetch Lisa. Take care" she said in a hurry.

"We---wait! I'm on my way now" I said in a hurry too and turn my car wheel.

"Huh?" She asked

"I said I'm on my way now"

"I know, just get in here" she said not getting what I mean.

"I'm on my way to fetch Manoban" I said clearly. "Bye just wait for us"

"Wait I thought you don'-------------" I didn't let her finish when I end up the call and drove going to Manoban's place.

Her place was a bit far hayss.

(ThirdPersonPov: the moment Jennie end the call. Sang-eun smirked, and whispered 'haha I knew it')

*****beep**beep*****

I pushed my car horn twice.

I am already infront of Manoban's house. She's still inside, so I just beep to let her come out.

Minutes later she came running. She smiled when she got outside as if she can see who's inside, my car has tinted glass window. She went on the right side where the passenger seat is and opened the door.

She look shocked when she saw me. I can see it on her face.

She enter then sat comfortably.

"Good morning unnie" she said with her usual smile.

"Seatbelt" I reminded not aswering her.

"O" she just muttered then nodded.She reached for her seatbelt and put it. "Thanks for reminding"

"You're welcome" I answered then started to drive.

"I thought Jinny will be the one to fetch me?" She asked. That explain her shock reaction a while ago. So she's expecting Jinny to be here instead of me.

"Don't you want me to be the one to fetch you?" I asked all of a sudden. O my, self I didn't know you can speak on your own.

I saw her smile. But before she could speak. "My manager told me to fetch you, and I got no choice but to do it" I explained in monotone voice.

"Well thanks to your manager then" she smiled like an idiot again. "I got to be with you alone" she added

I just chose to ignore her like I always do.So we had moments of silence. Until...

"Unnie can I drive?" She asked"I should be the one driving you" she added.Why can't she wipe out her smile even just for a second.

"No, I won't let you drive my baby" I said refering to my favorite car.

"Come on, I promise I'll be gentle to your baby" she said.

"No" I said firmly

"Please....."

"No"

"Aish I just wan------------" she did not finish what she supposed to say when her phone rang.

"Jinny, why did you call?" Manoban answering her phone.

So it's Jinny. I have noticed that she stopped calling Jinny as unnie, like what Jinny asked her to.

"Yes, I'm with her, we're on our way now" Lisa said again, I can't hear the other line.

"I was shock seeing her too" she chuckled, then took a quick glance at me.

"Hahaha yeah, see you babe" she said still laughing

Tsk these two.

"Tssss, such a flirt" I whispered enough for her to hear.

She look at me with a furrowed brow, but when I look at her with serious face she smiled again.

She then chuckled again "We're not, we just love to play around, you know, 'as a friend'"

"As a friend? Well maybe to you, but what about for her, I'm sure she has a deeper feelings" I stated not looking at her but on the road.

LISA'S POV

After she asked me that, I remember the conversation I had with Jinny. But before I tell it to you, I will just answer this beautiful girl beside me.

"Haha I don't think so, Jinny is a playgirl, she used to do such things, it's just normal to her, and 'real love' for her doesn't exist." I explained, that's what Jinny explained to me when I confront her about what she felt.

Her friends always tease us saying that Jinny is getting serious to me. She always jokes around too saying she likes me and all the stuff together with her actions, making me feel that she's really getting serious, so as a friend I don't want to make her do things because of that purpose or feelings that I know I can't turn back like the way she's giving me. So, before things get far, I chose to confront her to clear things up.

And in the end, she just laughed at me saying that maybe I am the one who's falling already. She cleared to me that she just love to play along with me because I handle all of it really good. That's what she said, yes, she like me, but as a friend only.

"How are you so sure about that?" Jennie unnie asked. Hmmm... curious huh?

"Well she said it herself, she likes me but as a friend only" I said and pouted acting like I'm hurt.

"What about you? Do you like her?" she asked again.

I smiled again and answer "Ofcourse I do, I do like her. But not like the way I like you" I smiled widely to her, she just look at me with furrowed brow. "As a friend" I added then scrach my nape. "What about you unnie, is there any chance that you will like me back?" I answered a little serious but not looking at her.

Minutes passed but she did not answered. I did not bother to look at her nor wait for her answer, because I know I won't receive one.

But then.

"Maybe" she answered then I felt the car stopped. So I look at her direction. She's now getting out of the car. Before closing the door, she look at me in the eyes then suddenly grin.

And walked away.

Oh, we're here on the set already, didn't notice that so I got out of the car as well.

Her words didn't leave my mind.

'Maybe?' She answered 'maybe' so it is still a possible that she'll like me back?I smiled fooly, if that time comes, meaning she already forgive me for all the trouble that I have caused her. And I'll make that happen, just wait Ms. Kim.

"Hey unnie, wait up" I ran to Jennie unnie. And walk with her.

"They are already here" someone shouted, which is one of the stuff

"Ms. Kim and Ms. Manoban, sorry but Mr. Yang wanted you to prepare yourselves now, because we will start in a few minutes." She informed us.

So we prepared ourselves.

"And ACTION!"

JANE'S POV

At the university.

Friday.

Breaktime.

We are heading to the cafeteria now. I am with the gang.

When we enter I saw the others already sitting on the same table we were everyday.

We greeted them.

I sat next to Nayeon.

"Jane, is it okay if Kai and his friends will join us?" she whispered. "Like the old days"

"Why are you asking me, ofcourse it's okay, ask the others though"

"I already did, well except with the three" she said pertaing to Jungyeon, Chaeyoung, and Jihyo. " Though I know they won't mind at all" still whispering.

Then she cleared her throat.

"Um girls, is it okay if Kai and his friends will join us?" She said to the three who just arrived.

And as expected they all nod, then look at me just like saying you should ask Jane instead.

"Tsk, I know what you girls are thinking, will you all stop, me and Kai are okay, we're good friends. So stop making an issue" I said.

"Hello we haven't said anything, we just looked at you" they all laughed.

I know they will tease me, what more if Kai is already here.

And speaking. Kai and 2 other man is walking toward us.

"Annyeong dongsaeng" he greeted Nayeon then look at us " Anyeong yoerobun, is it okay if we join you girls?" He asked.

And all of them nodded and answered ofcourse.

There is a vacant seat on my right.

Kai was about to sit beside me. When the new girl (Liesa) suddenly got up from her seat which is just infront of me, then sat quickly beside me.

"Uhm is it okay if you sit on the center oppa?" she asked Kai.

Kai just nodded and sitted.

That's our arangement in this long table. Though this isn't really a long table, it's suppose to be a two table but we move the other one and connect it with the other.

"It's been a long time, so how are you?" Kai asked in general.

"We're fine, nothing new. Ask Jane instead" Jihyo then smirked at me.

Tsk.

I look at Kai and caught him looking at me.He smiled. "How are Jane?" he asked directly looking at me.

"Fine as well, how about you?" I asked back

"Still the same" then he paused. "I missed you" he said without hesitation while looking directly to my eyes.

I didn't stare back. I chuckled. "Really?" I said, should I say I miss him too?

Do I missed him? Ofcourse but without the same feeling like before.

"Well thank you" My self talked on her own.

"Hahahahahahhahahahah" the girl on my right suddenly laugh.

So we all look at her."Thank you? HAHAHAHA" I heard her whispered since she's just next to me.

She is continuosly laughing in silent.I think she didn't notice us staring at her now.

"Ahmmm" Kai cleared his troath.

That caught the new girl's attention.

She look at us still surpressing her laugh.

"Uhm sorry, I just remember something funny" she smiled awkwardly.

"Well mind to share that buddy?" Bobby asked her.

Well yeah, if you guys are wondering why there is no intoduction happened a while ago between her and the boys, that's because they already know this new girl since monday. The gang already introduce them to her.

And Bobby and her got along so well from that day.

Liesa shared a story and Bobby laugh as well. Eventhough it's not funny at all. Both of them are laughing to nonsense things tsk.
