Bloom's POV

It was my day off, and I was walking past the students switching classes. It had been six weeks since I found out I was pregnant, and I looked about six months along. As I passed, students greeted me, and I smiled happily. Suddenly, I heard someone shout my name.

“Bloom, how could you be so unreasonable?”

I turned around and saw Sky.

“What?” I asked, confused.

“Bloom, you’re huge! You’re going to hurt the baby walking around here. The students could bump into you.”

“Sky, calm down, it’s fine,” I reassured him.

“No, it’s not. You don’t want the baby to get hurt, do you?”

“No, but—”

“Wait here,” he said, dragging me to the side. “Now, you must wait.”

I was getting annoyed and started counting to calm myself down. "One, two, three..." I walked on, still smiling when suddenly...

Sky's POV

I came out with a pillow, but I couldn’t see Bloom. A student passed me.

“Hey, have you seen Bloom? Where is she?”

“I saw her walking that way,” the student replied.

“Thanks.”

I kept walking and eventually found Bloom.

“Bloom!” I called. She froze.

Bloom's POV

I started running. “Wait up!” Sky called, but I didn’t stop.

I continued running and felt a sharp pain. I could barely breathe. I felt tears sting my eyes as I ran faster.

Sky's POV

I knew a shortcut and reached the area ahead of her. I opened my arms, ready to stop her. But she kept running, looking ahead.

Bloom's POV

I was out of breath when I suddenly collided with someone.

“Bloom, why were you running from me?” Sky yelled, sounding upset. I wanted to cry, but I needed to explain.

“I’m sorry,” I panted. Then, before I could finish, I felt a kiss on my lips. My eyes closed, and I felt the baby kick. I opened my eyes and pushed him off.

“You okay?” he asked, his voice full of concern.

“Yeah, I’m fine,” I said, taking his hand and placing it on my stomach. “Feel here.”

“No way... is that...?”

I nodded and smiled. We were both excited, and the baby had been the best gift I could ever receive. Though it took time for my family and friends to adjust, they understood. I wasn’t happy at first, but every day, I found myself falling in love with the idea of becoming a parent. Feeling the baby move was a powerful reminder of that.

Sky's POV

“Bloom, I need you here this afternoon. I have a surprise for you.”

“But...” I started to protest.

“No buts,” he said. “See you later.”

I shook my head, not sure what he was planning, but I smiled to myself.

......

Bloom's POV

I felt weak and couldn’t speak. I opened my eyes a few times and saw Sky carrying me. He smiled at me, and I smiled back, trying to reassure him that I was okay.

Sky's POV

I carried Bloom to the infirmary, still worried. She was weak, but seeing her smile meant she was starting to get better. As I entered, the girls looked at us and immediately became concerned.

“Bloom!”

“Sky, what have you done?” one of them asked.

“The Trix ambushed us,” I explained.

“Oh no!” they all exclaimed.

We hurried to the infirmary, where Ofelia immediately rushed to Bloom’s side.

“She’s very weak,” Ofelia said. “She needs rest.”

Bloom slowly opened her eyes, trying to stay awake.

“Stay awake, just for a few minutes,” Ofelia urged.

“I’ll stay with you,” I whispered to Bloom. “I’m not going anywhere.”

Ofelia quickly examined Bloom and noticed something was wrong. We all looked at each other in concern.

“What’s wrong?” I asked.

“Nothing to worry about,” Ofelia said, but her expression was serious. “I just need to see you all outside for a moment.”

I shook my head. “I’m not leaving her.”

“Sky, she needs rest,” Ofelia insisted.

“I’ll stay with her,” I replied firmly.

After a few moments, Ofelia agreed, and the others left to give us some space.

Later...

Ofelia called us in after examining Bloom. She looked worried but didn’t say anything immediately.

“How is she?” we all asked.

“She’s getting stronger, but... the baby is very weak,” Ofelia said softly. “There’s nothing we can do.”

“Why not?” I asked, panicked.

“It’s a Dragon child,” Ofelia explained. “They have different life aspects. Bloom may look six months along, but she’s actually eight months pregnant. The baby is very delicate.”

“Will she be okay?” I asked.

“I’m afraid we can only hope for Bloom. The baby... we can’t help.”

The room fell silent.

“I need to be with her,” I said, walking to Bloom’s side. “Can I stay?”

“Of course,” Ofelia said. “But Sky, no more stress. Bloom can’t handle too much right now.”

I nodded and sat beside Bloom. She looked better, and I was relieved. I stayed with her as the night fell, falling asleep beside her.

Bloom's POV

I was in deep sleep when the pain suddenly woke me up. I grunted, trying to get up, but Sky rushed to me.

“Bloom, what’s wrong? Are you okay?”

“I’m... not sure...” I gasped, clutching my stomach.

“I need to get Ofelia,” Sky said, panic rising in his voice.

“No, please stay with me,” I begged.

“I have to, Bloom. Ofelia will help you.”

Tears filled my eyes, and the pain worsened. Sky hugged me tightly, trying to comfort me.

Suddenly, Ofelia rushed in, her face full of concern.

“Bloom! What’s going on?” she asked, quickly checking my condition.

“I don’t know...” I whispered, still grunting in pain.

“Bloom, lie down. It will help,” Ofelia said.

I was reluctant, but I slowly did as she instructed. The pain subsided a little, but I still couldn’t stop crying.

“Sky, please stay with me,” I whispered.

“I’m not going anywhere,” Sky replied.

Sky's POV

Ofelia quickly ran tests on Bloom, but the situation was dire. The baby was weak, and Bloom was in extreme pain. Ofelia asked me to step outside for a moment to give her space.

“This is too much for her,” I said, pacing. “What do I do?”

After a moment, Ofelia came to me with grave news.

“The baby won’t survive,” she said. “We need to get it out. If we don’t, Bloom will continue to suffer. It’s the only option.”

I was in shock. “What do you mean? There’s no hope?”

“We can’t save the baby, but we can save Bloom. You need to decide quickly,” Ofelia said gently. “The sooner, the better.”

I went back into the room with Bloom, feeling conflicted and devastated. I couldn’t imagine losing her or the baby, but I didn’t want her to suffer.

Later...

The situation worsened, and Bloom started bleeding heavily. Ofelia rushed in to examine her. The others gathered around me, trying to understand what was happening.

“She’s lost a lot of blood,” Ofelia said, her voice heavy with sadness. “The baby... she had a miscarriage. There was nothing we could do.”

My heart sank, and I dropped to my knees.

“I’m sorry,” Ofelia said. “But we did everything we could.”

I felt utterly helpless. Suddenly, Stella walked in and overheard the conversation. She gasped.

“What happened?” she asked, her voice trembling.

“She’s lost the baby,” I mumbled.

Everyone was devastated. We had to be strong for Bloom. She was still so weak, and I couldn’t let her go through this alone.

Bloom's POV

I was awake, but still too weak to move. Sky sat beside me, holding my hand.

“I’m sorry, Bloom,” he whispered, kissing my forehead. “We’ll get through this, I promise.”

I smiled faintly, and for the first time since the tragedy, I felt a sense of peace. We would heal. Together.

Epilogue: Two Years Later

The family had grown, and our love had only strengthened. But there was still a part of us that carried the pain of that loss. However, we had a beautiful little girl now, and she was the light of our lives.

“Do you think we should tell them about the past?” I asked Sky, gazing at our daughter.

“I don’t know,” he replied. “Maybe when the time is right. We’ve made it through so much, but I don’t want to put them in danger.”

“We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it,” I said, smiling at him. “For now, we have a family, and that’s enough.”

Our journey had been tough, but I wouldn’t change a thing. The love we had for each other, the strength we found in our friends, and the support we gave one another—it was all part of our story. And now, with our daughter in our arms, I knew this was just the beginning of our adventure together.

The End.
