3rd Person's POV

The Gangneung Ice Arena is filled to the brim with figure skating fans all over the globe to watch the gala performances of the athletes of the recently concluded 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics Figure Skating event. It also seems like there are more spectators now than during events themselves. This is probably because, along with the exciting performances of the athletes, they got hold of the news that THE Yuzuru Hanyu and Luna Saito will be performing together.

Though it feels rather pressuring, the pair feels far from nervous. Rather, they feel like they're on top of the world. As much as he can, Yuzuru is pushing the negatives thoughts and what if's to the back of his mind. He wants to skate with Luna on a happy note. Besides, he's sure that after this gala, Luna is going to retire and take the rest she needs and deserves. Yes. That's what's going to happen.

Luna also feels like she's going to explode from happiness. She's got nothing to lose. At this point, she's contented. At first, it wasn't part of Luna's plan to actually compete in the Olympics. Heck, until now she questions how she even qualified. She only wanted to skate again to feel the thrill and of course, to show the world how beautiful and breathtaking the sport is. Luna wanted to share her passion with other people. And she has succeeded. However, she met Yuzuru along the way.

Luna is sure she's contented and happy. She achieved more than what she aimed for, right? But why is it that she can still feel her fragile heart cracking? It was Yuzuru. Her heart aches for Yuzuru. Not only for him but also for her family and friends that she made the past year. But what can she do?

Snapping out of her thoughts, Luna looked up and started to smooth down her costume; her mannerism before going on ice. (Costume reference on the photo. Just imagine it as something shorter hehe)

"Hey, hime. Nervous?" Luna turns around to see her one and only Yuzuru Hanyu dressed up in his costume that looks similar to hers.

"Woahhh. I must say kind sir that you look rather dashing tonight." She says in the best British accent she can muster as her eyes sparkled staring at her boyfriend while she crosses her arms over her chest. Yuzuru just chuckles lightly before answering. "Well, thank you. It is an honor to hear such a compliment from someone who I can only describe as the most breathtaking lady I have ever laid my eyes on." Yuzuru leans in to grab Luna's hand, placing a gentle kiss on it without breaking eye contact.

After all this time, he still manages to make me all warm and fuzzy inside... Luna thought as she just gave him a small smile.

"Oh stop that. Anyway, I'm not nervous. I just feel really really excited!" She giggled as she hopped cutely while shaking her tiny fists in the air.

"Woah. What did you feed her, Yuzu? She's all over the place!" Javi's familiar voice speaks up coming from behind Yuzuru. "I didn't feed her anything. Though she does do that every time we eat, doesn't she?" Yuzu replies, crossing their arms over their chests at the same time while observing the lady in front of them.

"You know what, I can hear you guys BUT! Since this is such a special day, I'm going to let you tease me all you want." Luna says as she grinned widely at the two men behind her.

Javi and Yuzu stiffen at what Luna just said. After all, how can she say something like that so easily? They both continue to gaze at Luna who just leaned against the barrier to watch Alina skate. Yuzuru did not want this night to be despondent. Like the past few weeks, he's still trying to not shed tears but it seems like tonight is making it extra hard for him. Though the arena is dark and the spotlight is shining upon the skater performing, all of Yuzuru's attention is directed towards Luna.

She's glowing extra brightly tonight. Yuzuru says to himself, making his heart skip a beat and ache at the same time.

As always, Javi could only watch them from the sidelines and wait as their tragic story unfolds right before his eyes. But the only thing he can do right now is...

Yuzuru tears away from his deep thoughts as he feels Javi's hand on his shoulder. He doesn't say anything, but Yuzu knows what Javi means. Yuzuru musters up a smile and whispers "It's going to be okay, Javi." Javi's grip on Yuzu's shoulder tightens a little before nodding. Javi immediately turned around and discretely wiped away the tears slowly falling from his eyes.

"Yuzu, Yuzu! It's our turn! Let's go!" Luna jumps in excitement as she grabs Yuzuru's wrist. "All right, all right I'm coming!"

Alina steps off the ice after bowing to the audience. Luna opens her arms and welcomes the young lady with a hug. "You're amazing as always, Alina!" Alina smiles widely and hugs Luna back. "Thank you, Luna. I already know you'll do great, as well. Have fun out there!" Luna pulls away, her and Yuzu smiling at her as Alina walks away.

The pair stands in front of the rink, hands linked together tightly. Unconsciously, they take a deep breath at the same time. They look behind them only to see their friends and fellow skaters cheering them on, making both of them smile.

"You ready, hime?" Yuzuru whispers as he squeezes Luna's hand fondly.

"I'm always ready when I'm with you, Yuzu-kun." Luna says softly. It is rather magical, how they can convey and express so much emotion through words and even just being in each other's presence without looking at each other.

"Please welcome, Men's Olympic gold medalist, Yuzuru Hanyu, and Ladies' Olympic gold medalist, Luna Saito."

And as expected, the crowd erupted in deafening cheers and applause as the pair they've been waiting for skates together towards the center of the stage. Yuzuru looks at the woman beside him, the wind blowing through her curly, brown hair, her eyes sparkling brightly, her hand gently waving to the audience watching them. All Yuzu could think about is how lucky he is to have met Luna Saito.

As they stand in the middle of it all, Luna stares at Yuzuru dead in the eyes and says,

"Don't hold back for me, okay?"

At that, Yuzuru could only nod and smile at Luna.

Right then and there, the two got lost in each other's eyes. No words being said. Just the two of them skating their hearts out as if no one is watching. You would think that with the number of people watching the gala, it would be very loud. But in a snap as soon the music started, the crowd went silent. Nothing else could be heard but the music and the blades of Luna and Yuzuru gliding across the ice.

It doesn't show that the two just started practicing this piece together a few days ago. Just as Tessa, Maia, and the others said a few days ago, it looked like the two of them had been doing this since forever. Like they were meant to be a pair.

Luna's brother, Sky, is watching his baby sister intently. He knows Luna the best out of everyone else, both him and Yuzuru. And he was also able to make out what Luna said to Yuzuru before they started skating. So that's what she wants, huh, Sky thought. He chuckles lightly and nods, remembering that his sister is indeed the most hard-headed person in the world without a doubt. You would think that after everything that's happened in the past months, Sky regrets letting his sister go back to the sport when in fact, he doesn't. Not even once did he regret letting Luna skate again. This is the happiest he's seen his sister for a very long time and to be honest, he realized he didn't have a right in dictating Luna's decisions. He watched as Luna grew into a strong, independent lady in a span of less than a year. He couldn't be any more proud to be called Luna Saito's brother. Though his heart is breaking, he's still happy for her. This is what she wants most in the world, and she deserves to be happy no matter what. For Luna...

To say that how the two are skating is magical is an understatement. It's like something out of a fairy tale. Every single person witnessing the performance is mesmerized.

"I seriously hope that they don't compete in Ice dance next season. They are definitely going to be a tough pair to beat." Tessa whispers jokingly, making the other athletes laugh quietly. Except for Luna and Yuzuru's friends. They know the possible consequence after this skate is. Though they are deeply immersed in the pair's performance, they just couldn't get their minds off of it.

Luna's gaze never left Yuzuru's. Does she feel tired? Maybe. Does she care? No. Not at all. All that matters now is just the two of them. Even after the exhausting step sequence and dance steps, her smile didn't falter. Yuzuru is staying true to his word of not holding back. This is what Luna wants after all.

With the song reaching the climax, the two let go of each other and started to do their jumps and spins, just like how they jump during competitions. But this time, no pressure at all. Just having the time of their lives.

They come together once again as the music slows back down, smiling widely at each other; a sign that they are genuinely enjoying the moment together, making the people watching tear up as they witness a touching moment between the two, possibly, greatest skaters of all time.

As the skate comes to an end, they glide towards each other, not bothering to hide the small drops of tears threatening to fall from their eyes full of love and sincerity. Finally, they hold each other's hands and press their foreheard together as their final pose. As soon as the music ended with both of their eyes closed, Yuzuru whispered,

"I love you, Luna Saito."

Luna smiled as she breathes rapidly, trying to catch her breath.

"And I love you, Yuzuru Hanyu."

With their magical performance ending, it took a while before the crowd erupted in cheers with no dry eyes in the house.

This was it.
