3rd Person's POV

Today's the day Yuzuru Hanyu can grab the prestigious title of being a two-time Olympic champion. Last night, he was filled to the brim with anxiety and worries of having to live up to everyone's expectations. He knows he can do it but its inevitable that sometimes, the pressure gets to him, thus affecting his performance for the worse. 

But as usual, ever since he met her, it was Luna who always soothes his mind and soul. Luna always knew what to say to make Yuzuru's unnecessary thoughts vanish into thin air. Now that he's thinking about it, Luna's overall impact to Yuzuru is enormous. To him, meeting Luna has made him into a better athlete and just a better human being in general. The thought of losing her in a matter of seconds still makes him terrified but whenever he feels that way, Luna pops up out of nowhere with her breathtaking smile that could make everything better. 

"Penny for your thoughts?" Luna's voice pulled him out of his thoughts as they both sit backstage. Yuzuru was taking a quick water break from his warm-up as a few minutes from now, the last group for the men's free skate will be up.

Yuzuru just looks at Luna as he stood up. "Can I just say, you look beautiful by the way." 

Luna was taken aback by Yuzuru's sudden complement, her cheeks lightly blushing. "W-what? That's so random."

"I know, right? I don't know, you just look really pretty and cute." Yuzuru put a finger on his chin as if he thought deeply of what he was going to say before pinching Luna's cheeks. Luna pulled a face and gripped Yuzuru's hand away.

"Ouch! That hurt you know." Luna grumbled in response, caressing her cheeks like it would alleviate the pain from Yuzuru's pinching. 

"Oops. Sorry. Not sorry." Yuzuru laughed as he ran away from Luna who was about to punch him. After reaching the end of the room still laughing, Yuzuru jogged back to where Luna was seated and smiled innocently.

"Aren't you a wee bit nervous?" Luna asks, her head tilted to the side.

"Hmmm. No. Why should I? You're with me so I have nothing to worry about. You also said that as long as I do my best, no matter what happens, everyone will still love it." Yuzuru replied immediately as he placed his hands on his hips while he spoke. With Yuzuru's response, Luna mustered a huge smile as she realized how much the man in front of him grew in only a matter of months. Words can never describe how proud she is of Yuzuru. 

"All righty then, Mr. Hanyu," Luna said, also standing up in front of him as she reached for his face, "lemme just fix your hair. We don't want them flying all over the place as much as it did yesterday." Slowly, with her gentle hands, her fingers run through Yuzuru's soft locks in an attempt to brush it back.

Luna could not look at Yuzuru's face, only at the motion of her hands, her mind falls deep in thought. Unconsciously, one, two, three drops of tears fell from her eyes until she started sobbing softly and quietly. Yuzuru, on the other hand, stared straight at her face as she was combing his hair. As soon as he saw Luna cry, he already knows what's going on inside her head. Despite this, he refuses to initiate a conversation about it. He doesn't even want to think about it.

And so, instead of talking, Yuzuru comforted the quietly sobbing Luna by engulfing her in a bear hug, Luna's face buried in his chest. He put his chin on her head as he gently played with her hair. He knows she loves it when Yuzuru plays with her hair. It was, according to her, calming and soothing. 

As they hug in silence, Luna calmed herself and pulled away from the hug. She looked up to Yuzuru and pouted. "I'm sorry. I'm just so proud of you." Luna said, violently wiping away the tears from her face.

There she goes again. Lying about her thoughts. Yuzuru thought. But of course he just let it go. Luna would only feel worse if he questioned her further. Instead, Yuzuru pulled on the sleeves of his Team Japan jacket and softly wiped Luna's tear-stained face. 

"I know, hime. You've said that for a million times already." Yuzuru giggled at Luna's adorable figure. 

"Oh? Really? Well, I'll never get tired of saying it." Luna plastered a small smile before attacking Yuzuru with another hug as an excuse to hide her blushing face.

"Awww. You're so adorable. Don't hide from meee!" Yuzuru said as he attempted to pull away from Luna's tight grip.

"Noooo!" Luna squealed as she hugged Yuzuru tighter. With her cute antics, Yuzuru could only chuckle.

"You know I love you right?" Yuzuru asked.

"I know. You've said that a million times already." Luna said mocking Yuzuru's response earlier while her face is still buried on her boyfriend's chest.

Realizing what Luna just said, Yuzuru replied while smiling as she looked down at her tiny figure wrapped around his torso, "Oh? Really? Well, I'll never get tired of saying it."

Luna's POV

Can I just say I love how Yuzuru looks in his Seimei costume. He looks like a prince and I'm just... he just looks extra attractive especially with his hair up.

"Hey. Stare longer and he might melt. It would be your fault if he doesn't last until the medal ceremony." Tessa nudged me from the side, her eyebrows wiggling suggestively.

"Oh come on, Tess. Give the girl a break. He's her man after all. She can stare all she wants." Katelyn replied, smirking. After all their teasing, I just roll my eyes but I can't help but smile. Really, this Olympic experience is once in a lifetime and to experience it with people like them makes it better. 

As soon as Patrick's score was announced, I immediately turned my attention towards the rink. Its his turn!

"Next skater, from Japan, please welcome Yuzuru Hanyu."

As he was making his way to the center of the ice, my eyes trail to where my Uncle is. I see him, his lips pursed probably from nervousness. That's kinda funny. He's more nervous than Yuzu who's actually going to skate. I chuckle lightly at the thought. 

And though I feel calm and collected, I can't help but just watch the whole program seriously. I can't help it! Its kind of a skater's thing, I guess? Or maybe its just me, I really don't know. I shake my head void of any thoughts. 

*do yourself a favor AGAIN and this time watch Yuzu's glorious Seimei performance*

As soon as Yuzu finished, I just couldn't help but tear up and my hands cover my mouth to stop myself from bursting into tears. He did it! From another athlete's perspective, you can overlook the fact that he made some errors on the jumps because of how breathtaking the whole performance is. He's basically what other skaters aspire to be.

More pooh bears started raining down compared to yesterday but my eyes do not leave Yuzu. What's making me cry more is how he just repeatedly shouted "やった!" as he held his injured ankle as if he's thanking it for holding out. 

Making his way to the center, he bowed to everyone. Before he left the ice, I see him face towards our direction and this time, I didn't have to wave. Our eyes immediately met and I immediately flash him the biggest smile and two thumbs up while he just waved both his hands at me while jumping in tiny. So adorable this guy.

As soon as my Uncle and Yuzu were done doing all their hugging hugging, coach-skater moment,  Yuzu went for the Kiss and Cry while Uncle Brian had to go back to the side to attend to Javi who was gonna go next after Yuzu.

"Yuzuru Hanyu from Japan has scored a free skate score of 206.17. His total score is 317.85. He is now in first place."

And as if the cheers couldn't get any louder, it did as everyone especially those rooting for Yuzu. Here I am fangirling again over my own boyfriend as I see him cheer so adorably with his fists up, his face smiling and his signature wrinkled nose that just makes me want to melt. 

I don't even have to think about it. Sorry Javi. Sorry Shoma. But I think Yuzu's got the gold again this year. 

I stand up almost immediately and excuse myself from the others. "Sorry guys, I have to do something!" I quickly run off without even hearing their response. In my head I thought "I'll just watch Javi's performance from the back. He loves me anyway."

And so I dash towards backstage downstairs where I see Yuzu just coming from the outside of the rink but a usher was gesturing for him to move to the couches where the top 3 skaters were supposed to sit.

All these tall people are crowding over the place and I could only get a glimpse of Yuzu's hair as I was trying to make my way towards him. I'm not wearing my skates so I'm feeling tinier than usual. So what do I do?

I jump and jump and jump and finally I could see Yuzu's face clearly. Its as if he was looking around waiting for someone. This time, I jump a bit higher and there, his eyes met mine. As soon as it did, his small smile turned bigger and he breaks out into a jog making his way towards me. I smile wider and do the same thing. 

Meeting halfway, I jump to him, my legs wrapping around his waist and my arms around his shoulders. As if Yuzu knew what I was going to do, he had his arms wide open and wrapped his arms on my waist, snuggling his head on my neck.

"Oh my gosh I am soooo super duper proud of you!" I whisper in his ear. 

"I couldn't have done it without you." He whispered back softly. For what seemed like forever (which is just a few minutes actually), I hear someone clear their throat.

"You guys do know that there are people right?" It was Nathan who is currently in 3rd place after Yuzu's skate.

My eyes widen in realization after what he just said. I immediately jump down from Yuzu's embrace. I didn't even dare raise my head to see all the the reporters who witnessed Yuzu and I's little intimate moment with all their cameras raised and flashing brightly as they took photos. Instead, I pulled my head inside Yuzu's jacket and leaned my forehead on his chest. 

I feel Yuzu's chest vibrate and move up and down. He's laughing. The nerve of this guy. "You really are so adorable." He says. 

"Stoooop." I say, not letting go and still tightly clutching Yuzu's jacket that's covering my probably tomato red face. 

Great. We'll be on national news for the next few days. AGAIN.
