15:10, 20 March 20213rd Person's POV
Despite Yuzuru wanting to forget how Luna can be taken from him anytime, it just won't leave his mind. He continued to stare to nothingness while his hand holding the fork fumbled with the exquisite, perfect toast dripping with golden honey. While his mind drifted away, Javi and Jason just whispered among themselves, quietly observing their friend.
"You think he'll be fine?" Javi said with worry while he munched on his breakfast cereal.
"Seriously Javi? Let me ask you the same question then. You think you'll be fine?" Jason whispered back, sarcasm lacing his voice. Seconds of silence later, Javi shook his head no. "See? You won't be fine. Imagine what's going on inside Yuzu's mind right now. We're just Luna's friends yet we already worry this much." Jason continued.
It had also been a week since Yuzuru started working on his quads again which terrified not only him but also his friends and family. The fans had been patiently waiting for Yuzuru's comeback at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics. However, along with the excitement comes the worry. Articles have been going around as well. Is this Hanyu Yuzuru's last Olympics? Is he going to retire? Have his past injuries taken a toll on him? And of course, Yuzuru is terrified at the thought of this. He has no plans of retiring. He hasn't even thought about it yet even years from now. How come the community already come up with the idea of Yuzuru retiring? Is it showing from his skating? Has his skills been left behind? Do the people think he's not good enough anymore?
When he started doubting himself, it was Luna who was beside him. Her words of comfort rained on him, putting his anxious soul at ease yet again. The situation took him back a few months back when he also had an anxiety breakdown. It seems that Luna knows him the best despite knowing each other for only almost a year now. Truly, time is nothing when it comes to love. Its not about how long two people have known each other. Its about how they spend their time together, no matter how short or long that may be.
As soon as he got back to the rink, he felt this fire inside of him. Motivation? Inspiration? Probably. It was Luna. She's the one who's keeping him sane from everything that's been happening. He almost feels sorry for her. His injury is nothing compared to what Luna is going through, and yet it was Luna who was comforting him instead of the other way around. And so in front of the woman he loves, he's keeping his worries in check so that Luna's burdens will be lessened, even for just a little bit.
Behind Luna's back though, the thoughts come back. This time its not about his career as an athlete but rather the time he has left with her. Yuzuru wanted to stay positive for her, keep their hopes up, and believe that a miracle may happen. And that's what he will do until it actually happens. He admits that he loses faith sometimes, that the world is too cruel for Luna to be going through so much but the least he can do for her is believe that everything will be okay. For her.
As soon as he collected his thoughts, he snapped back to reality wiping a tear that was threatening to fall from the corner of his eye, shoving a huge piece of toast in his mouth before looking at his friends who were quietly talking. He pushed back his plate, not wanting to eat the rest of his breakfast.
"Guys, you done? We better hurry. Luna and Zhenya's been outdoing us in training." Yuzuru chuckled while wiping the corner of his mouth with the table napkin.
"Oh, uh. Yeah, yeah." Jason replied quickly. They all stood up and went back to their rooms to freshen up before going out to the rink and train.

Today's training is cut short. Tomorrow is the opening of the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics. Luna and the others, despite wanting to train some more, were instructed and briefed about tomorrow's event along with other athletes from all over the world. Luna, her first and most probably last Olympics, will surely be memorable. Yuzuru has introduced her to the skaters he knew and she was welcomed warmly. Out of everyone though, Luna got along Maia and Alex Shibutani, the Ice Dance siblings from the US.
They are now going back to their rooms, Maia and Luna walking with their arms linked and Yuzuru and Alex trailing behind them.
"I'm so happy I get to finally meet you, Luna. Yuzuru has actually been talking about you nonstop to Alex. Well, except the past month because he's been unreachable. This is actually the first time they catch up again since December." Maia said as she started a conversation.
Luna just sighs in reply. "Yeah about that... The past few weeks have been eventful and I'm sure you've seen the news about it too. You know how Yuzuru got injured and everything. That's probably why he's been so hard to reach."
Maia stops and pulls her to the side for a bit with Alex and Yuzuru not noticing them. "Is there anything else?" She whispered to Luna's ear. Luna's eyes shot up and met the eyes of her newfound-friend. Luna knows they just met and basing on their friendship with Yuzuru, she feels deep down that she can trust Maia. As Luna was just about to talk, she got cut off.
"Hey! What're you guys doing? Let's go!" Alex said to the two of them. Apparently, the two men were too immersed in their own conversations that they only noticed the ladies were gone when they were already a few meters away. Maia was about to follow his brother when Luna tugged her arm and replied.
"You guys go on ahead. We have some catching up to do and I know you guys do to." Luna said with a smile. Her eyes met Yuzuru's who seem to know what she's talking about. Luna just nodded at Yuzuru as a sign of affirmation that its okay.
Yuzuru got the message and jogged towards Luna. He side-hugged Luna and placed a soft kiss on her temple before whispering, "You are so brave, hime." to which Luna just hummed in reply as she melted in his arms. It had been months and yet Luna still gets butterflies at Yuzuru's smallest gestures. The moment got cut off with Alex talking in the distance.
"Awwww look at the cute couple, you guys. Geez, I've never felt so lonely in my life." Alex said talking to their vlog camera which looked like he pulled up just a few seconds ago and hit record. Before Yuzu and Luna could comprehend what was happening, Maia placed herself between the couple.
"All right, all right we get it. No need to shove it at our faces how single we are." Maia laughed. "Just kidding. You guys do all the smoochie coochie-coo you want. The ShibSibs are officially the number 1 LuYu shippers!!!" Maia continued as she and Alex cheered.
Luna just laughed in reply, "Don't let Zhenya, Javi, and Jason hear you. They'll be infuriated." Yuzuru let go of Luna as he chuckled and walked back to where Alex was.
"Well too bad. We'll be the first one to publicly broadcast it to the world!" Alex said imitating a villain laugh. He cleared his throat and looked back at the camera, "Anyway, we'll leave you girls to it. No funny business, alright?"
"Oh shut up Alex. Its not like we have anywhere to go to besides the cafe." Maia said as she rolled her eyes at her annoying brother. Alex put the camera near his face before saying, "She loves me guys."
"I heard that!" Maia shouted back as Alex put an arm on Yuzuru's shoulder and walked towards the opposite direction. She just sighs and turns back to Luna, "So... let's go?"
"Yup!" Luna replied as she linked arms with Maia and the two skipped happily towards their destination without thinking they'd be crying buckets after their long, long conversation.

Luna's POV (A/N: Is this a long-awaited POV? I hope so!)
To be here and participate in the Olympics has always been a dream of mine ever since I was a little kid. This has to be every figure skater's goal in their careers. For seasons, they work their asses off and wait for the opportunity to represent their country in these Games. During the first week that we arrived here in Pyeongchang, I guess it had not sank into me yet that I'll be an Olympic athlete. The feeling is just so surreal. I'm already this ecstatic and just the Opening Ceremony today.
"Woah, careful hime. You're going to choke if you eat so fast." Yuzuru turned to me. I didn't realize I was munching on my pancakes too quickly until he said so.
From behind me, I heard Jason comment, "That's what he said." Javi, Jason, and Zhenya just laugh and I glare back at them.
I look back to Yuzu and he chuckled lightly. I tilt my head in confusion. What's so funny? He grabbed a napkin and started to wipe the corner of my lip. My eyes widen in shock at the sudden action and I was frozen in my spot. I look at him in the eye and I saw the concentration on his face, his lips pursed as he tried to get the something off my face.
Seeing him this close still makes my heart flutter even after almost a year of knowing each other. I know it sounds childish right? But I don't know. I'm just head over heels for this man. Although I accept my fate, I still wish I could spent the rest of my life with him...
As soon as I felt the absence of his touch from my face, I smiled lightly and leaned in to peck his lips. I pulled away with a huge grin on my face as I see him with the expression I had on earlier when he was wiping my face.
"What was that for?" Yuzu asked, his face still blushing from what I just did.
"Nothing. You looked like you were in deep focus when you were doing it and I find it attractive. Kinda like how you look before you step on the ice." I smiled at him before turning back to my pancakes and stuff my mouth once again.
"You are so weird, Luna-chan."
"You still love me though." I retort with my cheeks stuffed with food.
"Touche." Yuzu replied which made us both laugh before he took a sip of his tea.
"Could you guys tone down the PDA a little bit? I can see red ants surrounding you guys from all the sweetness." Zhenya joked while I just look at the three of them and laugh sarcastically. Before I become distracted again with what Javi was about to say, I focus my sight on my french toast this time. Looking at the golden-colored food with shiny, glistening honey covering it, I unconsciously gulp. I slice it, (its perfectly soft by the way) and placed a huge portion in my mouth. I chew the food, and its sooo soft and fluffy and heavenly, I could only hum happily.
"Serious question though. No offense. Why do girls do that?" Yuzu asked, also directing the question to Zhenya. Javi and Jason nod in agreement with his question.
I stare back at him. "Do what?"
"You know. You do this sort of happy dance whenever you eat."
"No I don't! Do you?" I answer Yuzu before asking Zhenya and she just shrugs.
"Oh come one. You so do! You did just now and you've been doing it since we started eating this breakfast!" Jason raised his tone a bit to emphasize his point.
"How exactly?" Zhenya asks with her eyebrows raised.
"Well you do this," Javi said before the three guys held their utensils up and started bouncing on their seats, swaying side to side. The f...
Zhenya and I look at each other with a poker face before turning to face them at the same time.
"Oh." I reply and we just shrug before turning to our food again. As I continue to munch on ym precious food, I hear Yuzu giggle before ruffling my hair and say,
"You're doing it again, hime."
I swat his hand away from my hair before pouting. "Well I can't help it! Its just too good!" I say. "Anyway, Zhenya! You'll be competing tomorrow right? At the team's event for the short program?"
"Yup. And you for the free?" Zhenya asks back. I nod at her and reply, "I haven't really paid attention to her but Alina makes me shakes in my skates."
"She's really good and to be honest, its kind of threatening, especially since we're in the same team and the comparisons between us just keep coming and coming." She replies as I notice a hint of disappointment in her voice. Oh no... that's really concerning. Before I could shower her with words of comfort, I see her visibly shake her and put on a smile. "But I'm confident. I worked so hard to come this far for the past years and I'm not going to let it all go to waste. Besides, I feel I've become better with your guys' help because whenever we train, I feel motivated that I have to keep up with all of you."
I smile fondly at her. "I'm so proud of you, Zhenya. You're really strong you know. Some people would just lose hope and give up. You know, settle for less because they know their limits. Not you though. You're a tough lady. You scare me though." I say, making all of us at the table laugh.
"Oh shut up. You're stronger. And scarier too. Right?" Zhenya said and ask the three men. I look at Javi, Jason, and Yuzu only to see them look away and avoid the question. Ugh. These people...
"Answer her." I command them with seriousness.
"Yes ma'am!"
"Si, si."
"Haiii!"
A couple of seconds of silence pass by and we burst again in laughter as we end breakfast in a cheerful note.
I'll miss these moments.
