———————————Luna's POV

It's been one month since I started training at TCC. It's been one month since I've been training partners with Yuzu. And to be honest, I don't know what to say... He takes care of me so much. Too much, actually. Like a week ago.

Flashback to one week agoThere was this one time when I fell really hard on the ice when I was practicing my quad salchow during our break and I wasn't able to get up immediately like I usually do, he came rushing lightning fast out of nowhere and carried me to the benches where he sat me down. He held my hand, kneeled in front of me and asked "are you okay Luna? Where does it hurt? Let's go to the hospital. I'll tell Brian." He sounded so worried, he even dropped the -chan on my name. He was about to stand up to go the coach's office but I held his hand saying "Yuzu-kun I'm fine seriously. I just laid down after my fall because I got dizzy from all the spinning."

He just stared at me and caressed the top of head. "Don't scare me like that, Luna-chan." I just laughed at him "I'm perfectly okay. Don't worry too much about me. I'm strong you know?" "I know you're strong. I just don't want you getting hurt..." he trailed off.

End of flashback

SO ANYWAY. There's that. I'm so determined to not develop any kind of romantic feelings to anyone since I'll be gone in less than 2 years. But damn it, Yuzu's making it so hard...

"Yo, chica. What's up? You've been spacing out too much." Javi shook me out of my thoughts. We were at the benches and I was tying my laces."No I'm not! So uhm... what were you saying again?" I laughed nervously. Hey! It's not my fault. It's Yuzu's.. definitely Yuzu's..."Girl, Javi was asking how's the training going? How's Yuzu?" Jason asked me while wiggling his eyebrows in a suggestive manner. "Jason. Seriously those eyebrows of yours, I'm gonna burn them off. You were like that when I first met you too. And for the same reason. Geez." I rolled my eyes at him while he just laughed."Luna, Jason has a reason you know. Yuzuru is cold most of the time when training unless when we're on a break. But when you came, he just lit up and he looks like he enjoys training more than he did before without that cold facade he always puts up. It's so weird." Zhenya asked mockingly, rubbing her chin with her thumb and index finger. "Guys, seriously stop. There's nothing going on. Let's not make things complicated.." I replied as I trailed off.

I added "ANYWAY. Training's good. I learned all the quads actually and I got my axel back. I just need to polish them." Truthfully, I just need a tiny bit of polishing. I don't want to brag but I knew my forte was jumping and the choreo and step sequence. The spins are like resting for me cuz I'm just stationary.

"Ohayo, Luna-chan! I hope you rested well because Brian told me we'll be doing a LOT today." Yuzu greeted me in Japanese as he was emerging from the locker room."Ohayo, Yuzu-kun! Of course I'm ready! Let's go?" I replied to him. He held out his hand to me. I stared at it for a few seconds before taking it as we went together to the middle of the rink. As we were leaving, I looked back to Zhenya, Javi, and Jason who were just snickering.

I even heard Jason said "And she said there was nothing. That little vixen." They continued laughing and I just shot them a glare.

Just then Brian came out and called other skaters for like a morning briefing. "Good morning guys! So I just want to remind everyone of their training menus. Jason, you'll be focusing on your quads. Zhenya and Javi, the spins and jumps. Yuzu and Luna, you guys are gonna be doing stamina training to prepare for your programs.." I stopped listening when he said stamina. I looked at my feet feeling nervous. I hate stamina training. It scares me. Like I get it, the short and free skate needs stamina, but you don't even feel the exhaustion during your performance. Training on the other hand, is very VERY different. But there's no point in complaining. I have to do this if I wanna get better.

So as we were warming up, Brian came up to Yuzu and I. "Yuzuru, your stamina training's gonna be more intense than Luna's, okay?" He said to Yuzu. Yuzu just nodded and smiled at me. "Luna can you come here for a sec?" Brian gestured to me. We kind of distanced away from Yuzu as he was warming up."Uncle. I'll be fine don't worry. Geez you worry too much. I'll do the same training as Yuzu. That's why partners remember?" I just looked at him and showed him a reassuring smile. "Fine. You hard-headed brat. But I'm gonna step in as soon as I see something wrong. Understood?" He replied seriously."I just saluted to him and said "Yes sir!" And I skated towards Yuzu again.Today's gonna be okay. Nothing to worry about.

"Hey Yuzu-kun. We'll be doing the same stamina training. Brian didn't make sense right? We're partners!" I nudged him jokingly and smiled. "That's great Luna-chan! Though I bet you can't even keep up with me." He just teased my while sticking his tongue out and skated away to do laps. "Hey come back here! I SO CAN KEEP UP WITH YOU!" I shouted, going after him.

"Pft. Love birds." I heard Zhenya said and laughed with Javi and Jason. I heard it. But I'll let it go. Just for today.

***** Fast Forward

It's now 6 in the evening and training was brutal, I'm telling you. I did my ABSOLUTE best in keeping my breathing as normal as possible. I finally finished the last of my exercise and was waiting for Yuzu to finish.

When he finished I walked to him caressing his back. He was coughing all over the place and wheezing. Asthma?"Are you okay? Let's sit down." I held his hand and carefully dragged him to the bench. "Yuzu. You okay there kid? Where's your inhaler? I'll get it for you." Brian said. Yuzu pointed to his bag inside the lockers. I stood up and said "I'll get it for him Uncle." I ran, my skates clattering on the carpeted floor.

I sat back down beside Yuzu and handed his inhaler to him. I started to stroke his back "You okay? You didn't tell me you had asthma. We could've taken it slow with the training today."

"I didn't want anyone to think I'm weak just because I have asthma. I didn't want you to think I was weak..." he whispered the last part which I heard loud and clear. "Yuzu-kun?" I turned his face towards me "You're one of the strongest people I know." I smiled at him while playing with his hair.

I know what you're going through Yuzu. Out of all the people here, I should know..."EHEEEEM. Anyway. I was gonna ask Luna to come by the office. We need to start talking about your programs." Brian interrupted our 'moment' and spoke up. "You wanna come Yuzu? I think as Luna's training partner, your insights would be really helpful."

"Sure Brian." Yuzu replied excitedly. He then starts to walk towards the office. "What?" I mouthed to my uncle while shrugging. He just shook his head and smiled.

********I'm now at home in my room, scanning through music because I have to choose a piece for both my short and free. I almost forgot how much I hated doing this. I'm kind of an indecisive person and a perfectionist. So I unconsciously depend my decisions after I visualize myself after I made a decision. CONFUSING.

So here I am on my study, head buried in my hands because I just can't choose my music. My phone then rang and I looked at the Caller ID.

Calling... Yuzu-kun🍯

"Moshi moshi?""Hey Luna-chan. What are you doing? WAIT let me guess""What?""Choosing music?""Got that right. Ugggggh. I need help. Could you help me?""That's the reason why I called. I got the feeling that you were having problems" he laughed."So? What should I do?""Why not choose something you really REALLY like? Like, something that will motivate to skate while you're skating to it?""You know that makes sense. I always did classical music before when competing. Maybe I should trail off that and do something different.""Well that was fast. I helped didn't I, Luna-chan? Riiiight?" "No you didn't. I already thought about it before you called." I said jokingly."You're so mean, Luna-chan" he said fake crying."Of course, you helped you little pooh bear. Thank you so much for helping me, Yuzu-kun. It would've taken me forever if it weren't for you." I said sincerely. "Glad to be of service, Luna-chan. Now go find that music. BUT only for an hour. It's late and you  need to rest. I know you're tired.""Hai, hai. Good night Yuzu-kun. Thank you so soooo much! Sweet dreams. See ya tomorrow partner.""Good night, hime..."

And he ended the call.Hime.. hime.. hime..HE CALLED ME HIME?! KYAAAAAAAAA!

I can't helped but blush profusely, I started squealing and kicking my feet while I held a pillow to my face. Then my door suddenly opened fast, "What's wrong? You okay Luna? I heard some noises." Sky said while walking towards me.

I calmed myself down and cleared my throat "Ehem. Yep I'm fine. I'm perfect. No problem here." I laughed nervously."You were always bad at lying, y'know that?" Sky said sitting at the end of my bed. He patted the space next to him asking me to sit beside him. I'm fooling everyone right now, Sky. I don't think I'm bad at lying.

"It's been a while since we gossiped, lil sis. What's up? Tell me about this Yuzu guy."

I snapped my head facing him. "W-w-what d-do you m-mean? We"re just partners! Stop joking like that." I fidgeted with the pillow I'm holding.

"Luna listen. I'm the person who knows you the most. I've always been protective of you, you know that obviously. I've come to your practices earlier than you know but I just waited and observed you. And I could say that I can entrust you to Yuzuru. He seems to care about you as much as I do. But Luna..." he trailed off looking at me with concern. "You have to tell him."

I just stared at him seriously "I can't. I won't. He doesn't need to know. It's nothing to make a fuss about."

"But Luna he deserves to -" "NO Sky. He doesn't need to know. We're just... just partners." I trailed off.

"C'mere." He said while pulling me in for a hug. "All right. I won't bug you. But think about it, okay?" I just hummed in reply

He then stood up "All right I'll leave you now. Lights out in an hour okay? You have training tomorrow." I just nodded at him.

He stopped at the door and said "I'm a guy Luna. I see the way he looks at you. And I know you like him back." He closed the door and left.

I just sighed deeply. No. No. No. I kept repeating as if I was convincing myself that I don't feel that way. I shouldn't feel that way. I have no right to feel that way...

And then suddenly, I ran towards ,my laptop and finally picked two pieces of music that I will use. Thanks to both Yuzu and my brother. I'm gonna make sure to make my last season a masterpiece.

I pressed play and slept peacefully with my program music playing in the background.
