"Gianna, you have to talk to us, this is getting serious now. Your friends are going to trial. You have to talk to us," her father's voice said from behind her door.
Sighing, she got up and unlocked the door, coming face to face with her father.
Even though she would never say it out loud, she knew her father was right.
"Fine," she said.
Her father, surprise on his face, not expecting her to actually open the door, since she hasn't talked to him for so long. He turned around and walked to his office, Gianna right behind him.
The truth is, if not for Nicco, who convinced her to hear what her father has to say, she wouldn't have opened the door.
Closing the door behind herself, she took a seat and watched him and Rosa who stood in front of her.
"Did you.." Marco trailed off, not knowing what to say. "Did you do what Ludovica and Chiara did?" He carefully asked.
"No. I told you. It wasn't like that, those guys weren't my clients, I was in a relationship with them," she told him, maintaining eye contact with him.
Marco winced at the word relationship and his eye twitched slightly.
"Should we be worried about you going to trial too?" Rosa asked, placing a hand on Marco's shoulder. "Should we hire a lawyer?" She asked, looking at her in concern.
"No. I wasn't mentioned anywhere," she shook her head, suddenly scared about the possibility that someone was going to mention her and she would have to go behind bars or something.
"Are you sure, Gianna?" Her father asked in firm tone. "You have to tell us the complete truth, we want the best for you, understand?"
"I know," Gia raised her voice, giving him a pointed look. "I'm not lying, why would I?" She furrowed her eyebrows. "Unless you put the photos somewhere I should be fine. It wasn't a prostitution."
"Let's just hope no one will dig into you," Marco sighed, looking away.
"How long have you known about Chiara and Ludovica?" Rosa suddenly asked, when Gia thought their interrogation was over.
Gia didn't answer for a moment, "I've known since the beginning," she admitted. Seeing the disbelief on Rosa's face and the look on her father's face when he turned around again, she said. "I told them it was a bad idea. I tried to convince them to not do it, and then to make them stop. But they didn't listen to me," she defended herself.
"Why didn't you tell anyone?" Rosa sighed, "Damiano and Simonetta are in trial for knowing about them and not coming to the police, did you know that?"
"I know."
"I'm going to call a lawyer," Marco said.
"No!" Gianna exclaimed, shaking her head at him. "No one knows that I knew other than Chiara and Ludo, they're not going to say anything."
"Well what if someone else knows and you just don't know. The guy, Fiore, right? He knows, doesn't he? What if he brings it up in the court? What then?" Marco argued.
"He won't."
"How can you be so sure?"
"Look, if the time comes, we will find a lawyer, alright?" Rosa tried to calm him down.
Sighing, Marco nodded. "Alright."
————
"My parents think I might be going to trial," Gianna admitted to Nicco, laying on his bed under the sheets with him.
"What?" Nicco asked, sitting up, pulling Gia with him. "Why?"
"Because I've known about them."
Niccolo stared at her for a moment, before shaking his head, "that won't happen."
"How can you be so sure?" She asked, unsure herself. Doubt and fear has started forming in her head after her talk with Rosa and Marco.
"Look, I knew about them too," he said, shaking his head. "No one is saying a word to me about the possibility that I could go to trial. Unless someone mentions you, which I don't see why someone would, you will be fine," he assured her.
Before she could respond, Nicco's phone pinged with a notification. Picking up his phone, he looked at the screen with furrowed eyebrows.
"Who is it?" Gia asked, noticing his confusion.
"Chiara," he told her, looking at her.
Gia furrowed her eyebrows. "What does she want?"
"She asks if I know the way to Toy."
————
"Okay, so what is this about again? And why was I not invited in the first place?" Gianna asked from the passenger seat in front, looking at Ludo and Chiara in the backseat.
"We need to find Natalia," Chiara explained.
"And we're sorry we didn't tell you earlier, we just don't really want you to get too involved, you know, in case." Ludo said.
"Who is Natalia, again? Should I know her?" The blonde asked from the front, her eyebrows furrowed.
"Yes! Gianna, Damiano's friend? Remember? The one that made us create an account for Desire?" Chiara gave her friend a wide eyed look, absolutely flabbergasted that she didn't remember.
"Oh, right. Natalia," Gia nodded. "So why do we need to find Natalia, again?"
"Niccolo, did you like fuck her brains out or something?" Ludo asked, looking away from her phone where she had maps. "Because why is she so slow today."
"Ludo!" Gia gasped, turning her whole body to glare at her, while Niccolo next to her snorted, smirk on his face. Turning back around, she smacked him into the shoulder, "not funny. Very rude, actually," she sat back into her seat, crossing her hands in front of her like a little child that was told no to having ice cream for dinner.
"Natalia is our key to prove that whatever bullshit Fiore is telling on the trial, is actually bullshit," Chiara explained to the confused girl.
"Right."
"Do I keep going straight?" Nicco asked, looking at the road.
Ludo shook her head from the backseat and looked at her phone, "I don't know anymore. I lost the signal."
"I could've sworn we're almost there."
"Guys, we're lost. Let's face it," Ludo sighed.
"No way, it must be somewhere," Nicco assured.
"Let's pull over and maybe find a signal? Or someone to ask for directions?" Gia offered.
"Yeah, pull over," Chiara agreed, the minute they arrived on a street with female hookers.
Ludo and Niccolo gave her a look, "what's your plan, just driving around all night? Here."
Niccolo pulled over in front of two hookers, looking at them Gianna averted her gaze immedietly as the woman made eye contact with her.
"Fine, I'll go," Niccolo said.
"I'll come with," Gia said, prepared to get out of the car with him.
"Nah, you stay here," he told her, pressing a kiss to her forehead and closed the car door behind him.
Gianna carefully watched him as he made his way over to the women standing on the curb, talking to them, asking them for directions.
Sudddenly a knock on the window made her look away from her boyfriend, instead she looked at the woman, who before stood few feet away from the car, now she was right in front of it.
Pulling down the window, all three girls looked at her.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, letting out a chuckle. "Go back to your house."
"Yeah, we were just leaving," Chiara told her. "We're looking for a party around here. Do you know where we could find some fun?"
"Sure. Turn around and take a left back there," the woman told them.
"Got it, thanks."
Giving them one last look, the woman went back to her place, where she stood before.
Nicco opened the door after a while, getting back into the car.
"She said we need to go back the way we came and take a left," Chiara told Nicco. "But I have no idea where. I didn't see any exits. Let's go take a look."
