"Why didn't you come yesterday?" Ludo asked Gia, as they made their way towards the field, where they were supposed to meet with Chiara.

Gia looked at her, licking her lips, "I was with Eliseo," she admitted.

Ludo raised her eyebrows, "oh yeah? How did that go?"

Gianna shook her head, "not great. I don't know," she shrugged, not really wanting to admit he cheated on her while she was gone.

"What happened?" Ludovica asked with genuine concern.

Gianna sighed, "we had sex," she shrugged. "He was kinda distant, different. Maybe it's just in my head."

Ludo stopped her from walking and turned her towards her, "if you have a weird feeling about him, then your consciousness is correct, alright? Don't doubt yourself."

Gia let out a chuckle, "alright. Thanks." She smiled at her and patted her shoulder in gratitude.

Walking towards Chiara, who sat on the stone bleachers, looking into her phone, Ludo and Gianna placed a kiss on both of her cheeks, sitting down next to her from either side.

"Who is this bitch?" Ludo asked, taking Chiara's phone from Chiara's hand.

"What the hell?" Gianna asked, as she leaned over Chiara to look at the phone in Ludo's hands.

"Do we need to dissolve her in acid?" Ludo joked, but honestly if it came down to it, both Gianna and Ludo would do it.

"His dumb ex," Chiara shook her head, looking at her friends.

"Ouch," Ludo said with a frown. "How did it go last night?"

"Yeah tell us all about it," Gianna leaned in, curious, eager to hear something to make her mind wander from Eliseo.

"Did you do it?"

Chiara shook her head, pulling a face.

"Why not?" Ludo asked.

"Don't know. I didn't feel like doing it there," Chiara said with a frown.

"That's fine. Do it when it feels right," Gia said, caressing her shoulder in comforting way.

"Guys," Chiara started, "that guy finally responded," she said, looking at the girls. And just by the look on her face, Gia could tell it wasn't good news. "He knows Saverio's dead."

"Shit," Gia cursed.

"That's why he didn't pay me," Ludo shook her head.

"I told you guys, this was a bad idea," Gia groaned, putting her head into her hands.

"The good news is, that guy Tomasso, sent a message for you," Chiara said with a smile, looking at Ludo.

Gia widened her eyes, "are you serious? This is literally a sign to end it before it's too late! Who knows who else knows Saverio's dead," she told them, freaking out slightly.

"Gia, chill. I checked him out, he seems pretty cool," she told Ludo. "Cultured and scholarly."

"That's cool. Maybe he'll finally get me to read my first book," Ludo joked, making the girls chuckle.

Sitting on Eliseo's couch, Gia stared blankly at the TV that played a movie Eliseo chose himself, yet his gaze was trained onto his phone.

Sighing, she turned to look at him, watching him type something on his phone, covering his mouth with his hand, trying to hide his smile.

"Who are you texting?" She curiously asked, trying to peer over his shoulder and failing.

Eliseo scooted away from her, hiding his phone from her view. "Just some work stuff," he answered.

Gia looked at the clock, "at eleven in the evening?" She asked with furrowed eyebrows.

Eliseo shrugged, "yeah." Turning off his phone, he set it next to him on the couch, he turned his attention to the screen.

Gia watched his for a second, she swallowed her words, tried to blink away the tears that formed in her eyes and ignore the beat of her heart in her chest.

Hearing another notification pop up on his phone and seeing out the corner of her eyes Eliseo picking up his phone, she gritted her teeth together.

Scooting closer to him she grinned at him, "come on, turn it off for tonight," she told him, placing kisses on his jaw.

Eliseo pulled away. Gia ignored it, and continued to place kisses down his jaw, to his neck.

Groaning, he shoved her away from him, Gia fell back onto the couch and looked at him with a broken look in her eyes.

"Just watch the movie," he told her.

"Why am I even here, if you're going to spend the whole evening on your phone?" She asked, pissed off, crossing her arms in front of her like a child.

Eliseo rolled his eyes, "jesus, don't act like a little brat."

Looking at him, she furiously wiped the tears that escaped. Looking away she sniffed.

Eliseo put his phone on the coffee table in front of them and looked at Gia next to him.

"Come on, Gianna," he told her, waiting for her to say something. "Don't ignore me."

Not receiving answer from her, he shook his head and got up from the couch, grabbing his phone in the process.

Gia stayed in her spot as she watched him walk towards the front door.

"Where are you going?" She asked in quiet voice.

"Out," he stated, putting on his shoes.

Gianna got up from the couch and quickly came towards him.

"Don't leave me," she told him, standing in front of him, begging with her eyes.

"I'm not in the mood for your jealousy right now. You're ridiculous," he told her and tried to move past her but she moved with him, blocking his path. "Get out of the way."

"No, please stay. I'm sorry," she apologized, snaking her hands around his waist, pressing her face to his chest.

Eliseo sighed and pulled her off of him. "Stop acting childish Gianna, god," he groaned.

Looking him in the eyes, she slowly took off her shirt, revealing herself to him, not wearing any bra underneath her shirt.

"Come to bed with me, please," she looked at him from underneath her lashes, giving him a puppy eyes.

She bit her lip and placed her arms around his neck, waiting for his response.

Eliseo poked his cheek with his tongue, looking Gianna in front of him up and down, his gaze stopping on her bare chest.

Surprising her, he grabbed her by her thighs, Gia wrapped her legs around his waist and kissed him.

Walking her towards his bed, he threw her on it, Gia letting out a yelp of surprise.

She didn't feel anything. She lay beneath him, letting him have all the control of her. She was just satisfied he stayed with her.

After they finished, she lay satisfied in his bed, however her smile fell when she saw he got up and started to dress.

"What are you doing?" She asked with a frown.

"Going out," he said over his shoulder.

"I thought you were staying," she said in such a little voice, you could barely hear it.

"No."

Gia watched as he finished dressing up, as he stopped in front of the mirror, checking and fixing his hair.

"When are you going to get back?" She asked from his bed.

"Don't know. Don't wait up for me," he jogged up to the bed and gave her a quick peck on the lips. "Bye."

The door shut behind him and Gia stared blankly at the door.

After few minutes of sitting and numbly staring at the door, willing for him to appear in the doorway again, she got up. Gritting her teeth together, she put on one of his shirts.

She wandered through his studio apartment in only his shirt. Searching through his drawers, looking for one particular thing.

When she finally found it, hidden by his shirts she grinned in triumph. Taking the white powder stored in small baggie, she walked towards his island counter, and placed it there.

Taking a bill from his jeans pocket, she did the exact same thing he's done the first night they met.

The night he was completely different person from the person he was now.
