Chapter 2

"Good morning, Caitlin." I mumbled when she walked in the room. "Morning." She said. "Why are you all dressed up so early?" I asked her, making a sandwich. "I have to go to S.T.A.R labs." She explained to me. "S.T.A.R labs? Why that?" I asked, I took a bite of my food. "Work." She simply said. "I'm going to CC Jitters for some coffee to go." She told me. "Why would you want to go to S.T.A.R labs?" I asked. "Because I have to work." She explained. "Your fiancé died there. And you just keep working there?" I asked angry. "We are trying to make it up to everyone." She softly said. "How do you want to make it up? Create a new brother for me?" I shouted, tears rolling down my face. "Audrey." Caitlin said in a hurt voice. I grabbed my coat and bag and walked out of the apartment. I walked to the city and felt stupid because I only wore my old sweatpants, I was freezing.The first shop I saw was Jitters and I walked in. "How can I help you?" A pretty girl behind the counter asked. "A cappuccino to go, please." I smiled. "Here you go." She said a few minutes later handing me a cup, I paid. "Iris!" I heard someone shout behind me. I turned around, a boy around my age walked towards us. The girl behind the counter, Iris, grabbed a coffee and gave them to him. "Thank you, Iris. You saved my life." He smiled. And I couldn't help but notice that he was cute. I walked behind him. His phone started ringing and he stopped, I almost bumped into him. "What's wrong?" He asked. I walked past him. "S.T.A.R labs? Now?" He asked surprised, I stopped. "I'm on my way." He hung up. "You work at S.T.A.R labs?" I asked him. "Yes, kind of." He seemed nervous. "Can you ask Caitlin if she could call me?" I asked him. "You know Caitlin?" He asked surprised. "Yes, she is my sister in law. Kind of." I bit my lip."My name is Barry Allen." He introduced himself. "Audrey Raymond." I smiled. His eyes slightly widened. "It was nice meeting you but I really have to go." He announced. "Bye." I said. He smiled and walked away. And I would swear I heard him mutter:"o my god."

My phone ringed. "Caitlin?" I asked. "No, it's Cisco." I heard the person say. "Oh, hi. This is Caitlin's phone, right?" I asked him. "Yeah, she is kinda busy right now. But she asked me to call you." Cisco told me. "What's wrong?" I asked. "Nothing, she wants to meet you at Jitters in an hour." Cisco said. "Okay." I respond. "Barry, don't touch that." I heard Cisco shout, I giggled. "I really have to go." He said panicked. "Okay, bye." I said and I hung up.

"You again?" A voice jokingly asked beside me. It was the girl from behind the counter, Iris. If you want to know, yes, I'm in Jitters again. "I'm waiting for someone." I told her, smiling. "You want to order already?" She asked me. "Sorry, I'm late." Caitlin apologized and sat down. "Hey, Iris." She greeted. "Hi." Iris said. "You know each other?" I asked confused. "My friend was in a coma, Caitlin helped him." Iris explained. "Oh." I muttered. "Two cappuccino, please." Caitlin ordered for both of us. "I'm sorry, I didn't had the right to be angry." I apologized to Caitlin. "It's okay, I should have told you that I still worked there." She answered. "Two coffee." Iris said after she put our mugs on the table. "Forgiven and forgotten?" I asked. "Deal." She smiled.
