(A cyberized version of Cyrax appears)

Cyrax: You are ordered to return to the Lin Kuei temple for assimilation

Sub Zero: Cyrax!

Cyrax: I am Lin Kuei unit L-K-4-D-4. You will come with me

Sub Zero: I am sorry for what they did to you, but I will not comply!

(Sub Zero fights Cyber Cyrax. Cyrax's armor and weapons give Sub Zero a good challenge, but Sub Zero's ice powers give him the advantage)

Sub Zero: I will face the Lin Kuei when my task is done, not before

(Cyber Cyrax teleports away)

(Sonya and Jax walk onto the bridge)

Sonya: The readings were getting stronger and now they're gone. I- Sub Zero? But... you're dead!

Sub Zero: I am not the Sub Zero you speak of, he was my brother

Sonya: Your brother?

Sub Zero: I am only here to learn Sub Zero's fate

Sonya: He was killed by someone named Scorpion

(A bunch of souls fly around)

(Ermac appears)

(Jax grabs Ermac by the throat)

(Ermac uses his magic to lift Jax up and rip his arms off and throw him back)

Jax: (Pained screaming)

Sonya: Jax! Stay with me!

(Sonya cauterizes Jax's missing arms with her wrist device)

Ermac: We will break you as well

Sub Zero: Not if I break you first

(Sub Zero fights Ermac. Ermac's soul magic gives him strength and power, but Sub Zero's ice powers and fighting skills are able to overpower and defeat him)

Sub Zero: I remain whole, for now

Sonya: Sonya Blade to command. Sonya Blade to command, do you read?

(Comm static)

Sonya: Sonya Blade to command, do you read?

Sub Zero: You have stopped the bleeding

Sonya: Yeah, but he needs a medic as soon as possible

Sub Zero: I must go to the coliseum

Sonya: But I need your help to-

Sub Zero: There is a portal to the south. You can use it to transport yourselves back to earth realm

Sonya: Mother of-

(Sub Zero walks away)

Sonya: That portal better be close

(Soon)

(Kitana is fighting a random monk as Sub Zero arrives at the coliseum)

Shao Khan: Kill him!

(When Kitana hesitates, Shao Khan uses his death magic on the monk)

Shao Khan: Kitana! You will join me

Sub Zero: Shao Khan! I challenge Scorpion, the murderer of my brother! You will bring him before me!

Shang Tsung: No one makes demands of the emperor! Reptile!

(Reptile walks down some stairs and sizes up Sub Zero)

Reptile: (Unintelligible Reptile noises)

(Sub Zero fights Reptile. Reptile is a very agile fighter, but agility alone wasn't enough to defeat Sub Zero)

Sub Zero: I would kill you, but that is not my purpose here

(Reptile runs away)

Sub Zero: Your followers hold you in high esteem, warlord. They fight and die for your amusement. My brother participated in this folly. I do so only to face his killer!

Shao Khan: And you shall

(Quan Chi signals Scorpion with his magic)

(Scorpion appears out of flames)

Scorpion: What is this? You are not Sub Zero!

Sub Zero: I am his family and clan, I fight for his honor!

Scorpion: He had no honor! And you will die as he did!

(Sub Zero fights Scorpion, but Sub Zero is more powerful than his brother, so the battle doesn't go the same way. This time Scorpion is defeated by Sub Zero)

Sub Zero: For my brother!

(Sub Zero is about to kill Scorpion when a bunch of cyber Lin Kuei show up and try to capture him)

(Scorpion teleports away)

(Cyber Cyrax and Cyber Sektor appear)

Shang Tsung: Who now interrupts the emperors tournament?

(Raiden appears with Smoke, Johnny, Kenshi, and Echo with him)

Smoke: Sub Zero?! No!

(Raiden holds Smoke back)

Raiden: No! You cannot save him! Stay here, or they will take you and Echo as well

Sektor: We request that we return him to our temple for our judgement
