Vengeance: Scorpion

(A monk in disguise wanders the crowd)

(Raiden has a vision and walks over to the monk in disguise)

Shang Tsung: Kombatants! The next match will now begin!

(Scorpion rises from the ground from some flames)

Shang Tsung: Scorpion! Specter of the nether realm! Resurrected by the sorcerer Quan Chi!Who among you is worthy of this challenge?

Scorpion: Where is the Lin Kuei Sub Zero? He killed my family and clan. I will have his head!

Raiden: I know it is you, Kung Lao. The shaolin have chosen Liu Kang to represent your order in this tournament

Kung Lao: I am Liu Kang's equal

Raiden: That remains to be seen

Kung Lao: Watch and see. I accept the challenge!

(Kung Lao walks up to Scorpion and puts on his hat)

Liu Kang: Kung Lao?

Kung Lao: Never mind The Lin Kuei, you now face a Shaolin!

Scorpion: You will regret your impulsiveness

(Scorpion fights Kung Lao. Both fighters are skilled and experienced, but Scorpion was caught off guard by Kung Lao's hat attacks. But Scorpion's fighting experience ultimately were the key to his victory)

Scorpion: You are not yet a warrior

Liu Kang: Kung Lao!

(Liu Kang and Raiden rush over to Kung Lao to help him up)

Raiden: Listen when your elders speak, you could not win this fight

(Kung Lao walks away with Raiden and Liu Kang)

Scorpion: I have defeated the challenger, Shang Tsung! I demand Sub Zero!

(Raiden has another vision)

Shang Tsung: You will demand nothing!

Scorpion: (Triggered)

Shang Tsung: Night Wolf!

Night Wolf: Your aggression is misplaced

Scorpion: What do you know of my past?

Night Wolf: You are not the only one whose people have been victimized. But I have found new purpose in serving the spirits. I do not cling to the past

Scorpion: You no longer seek retribution? You dishonor your kind. I will honor the memory of my fallen!

(Scorpion fights Night Wolf. Scorpion fights a lot more aggressively because Night Wolf isn't out to hurt people. Scorpion is able to throw his rope spear into Night Wolf's chest, pull him towards himself, and uppercut him)

Scorpion: The spirits have forsaken you, Shaman

Shang Tsung: An impressive start!

(Scorpion's fist ignites in flames)

Scorpion: You waste my time, sorcerer!

Quan Chi: Restraint, Scorpion!

(Scorpion sighs and his fist returns to normal)

Shang Tsung: You will fight Sub Zero soon enough

(The crowd walks away)

Raiden: Scorpion, I understand your desire for revenge. But Night Wolf is right, there are other ways in which you may find peace

Scorpion: Sub Zero deserves death

Echo: But there are other ways to get revenge

Scorpion: Sub Zero killed my wife, my son, and my clan. He will answer for what he's done

Raiden: Defeat Sub Zero if you must, but do not kill him. I fear that his death will give rise to a more dangerous foe

Scorpion: I will have my revenge

Raiden: Spare Sub Zero's life, and I will request that the elder gods return the Shirai Ryu to the realm of mortals

(Scorpion bows his head to Raiden)

(Raiden bows his head to Scorpion and walks away)

Echo: Those were some pretty good moves back there. You were trained by the Shirai Ryu?

Scorpion: I was. Judging by your armor, I would say you're trained the by Lin Kuei?

Echo: Yep

Scorpion: We will have to spar sometime

Echo: Yeah, of course

Scorpion: I must go

Echo: Bye

(Scorpion walks off)

(Soon)

Cyrax: I understand that there are benefits to the grand masters plan, but this plan goes against Lin Kuei principles

Sektor: We are Lin Kuei, Cyrax. We will obey the grand masters commands

Cyrax: It means giving up our free will, our souls. It will turn us into-

Sektor: Scorpion

Cyrax: Your inferior clan is dead. Soon you will join them

Scorpion: My clan may walk the earth once more

(Cyrax shoves Scorpion)

Shang Tsung: A challenge! Scorpion versus Cyrax and Sektor!

Cyrax: Your obsession with Sub Zero ends here

(Scorpion fights Cyrax and Sektor at the same time. Cyrax and Sektor work well as a team, but they are no match for Scorpion's sheer skills combined with his fiery powers)

Scorpion: I will have my revenge, but I will not kill Sub Zero

(Raiden gives a proud smile)

Bi-Han: Will not?

(Bi-Han walks in the room)

Bi-Han: Or cannot?

Scorpion: You! The Shirai Ryu are dead, you will suffer as they did

Bi-Han: To hell with your clan

Scorpion: No, to hell with you!

(Scorpion transports himself and Bi-Han to the nether realm)

Bi-Han: The nether realm?

Scorpion: This is where I was reborn. This is where you will pay!

(Scorpion fights Bi-Han. Both warriors take some hard hits, and it's actually a pretty even match for the most part. Both fighters struggle to best the other)

(Scorpion and Bi-Han clash for a long time before Bi-Han starts to tire out. But Scorpion isn't entirely human, so his stamina doesn't deplete)

(Scorpion's pure unbridled rage combined with Bi-Han's tiredness led to Scorpion's victory)

Scorpion: I have avenged my family and clan

(Quan Chi appears)

Quan Chi: This is your retribution? Scorpion, kill him

Scorpion: I.... I will not. He has been beaten

Quan Chi: Have you forgotten?

(Quan Chi uses his magic to give Scorpion a vision of his family and clan)

(The Lin Kuei ninjas are slaughtering the Shirai-Ryu)

(In the vision Bi-Han blocks the door when Harumi and Satoshi try to escape)

Bi-Han: He's not here?... Where is Hanzo Hasashi?

(Harumi refuses to say anything. Satoshi gets into a fighting stance, but is pulled back by Harumi)

(Bi-Han chuckles)

Bi-Han: You learned that from your father?

(Bi-Han's fist starts to cover itself with ice. Harumi and Satoshi cower in fear)

Bi-Han: Very well

(Bi-Han summons an ice sword and kills Harumi with it)

Satoshi: MAMA!

(Bi-Han grabs Satoshi)

Bi-Han: You are coming with me

(After the human version of Scorpion, Hanzo Hasashi kills most of the Lin Kuei ninjas, he is met by what looks like Bi-Han with his hand around Satoshi's neck)

Bi-Han: Enough!

(Satoshi's neck is starting to form a thin layer of ice over it)

Bi-Han: Come closer, and he dies

Hanzo: What do you want?

Bi-Han: Get on your knees

(Hanzo gets on his knees, and Bi-Han uses his ice powers to freeze him to the ground in that position)

(Satoshi's scared breaths are becoming visible as the ice starts to cover his neck, and Bi-Han tightens his grip)

Hanzo: If you so much as touch a hair on his head-!

Satoshi: Papa-!

(Bi-Han uses his hand to shoot an ice spike through Satoshi's throat, making him choke on his own blood)

Hanzo: SATOSHI!

(Hanzo watches in horror as Bi-Han drops Satoshi's lifeless body to the ground)

Hanzo: I'LL KILL YOU!

(Hanzo breaks free from the ice and draws his sword)

(Bi-Han chuckles and creates a sword made of ice)

Hanzo/Bi-Han: RARGH!

(Hanzo and Bi-Han charge at each other with their swords)

(Bi-Han tries to ice-slide into Hanzo, but Hanzo flips over him)

(Hanzo tries to slash Bi-Han with his sword, but they start to clash with their blades)

(Bi-Han kicks Hanzo in the chest, leaving a patch of ice on it, making Hanzo's breath visible, and leaving him shivering)

(Bi-Han uses his other foot to spin-kick Hanzo in the face, knocking him down)

(Hanzo throws his rope spear at Bi-Han. He tries to dodge it, but gets a scratch on his face)

(When the rope spear hits a wall behind him, Bi-Han grabs the rope and freezes it, forcing Hanzo to abandon it)

(Hanzo rushes at Bi-Han with his sword again, but this time Bi-Han shoots a couple of ice spikes out of his hand, piercing Hanzo's shoulders)

Hanzo: (Pained yell)

(Bi-Han summons a wall of ice, grabs Hanzo, and throws him)

(Hanzo crashes through the wall of ice, shattering some of his bones)

(Hanzo shakily gets up, and tries to hit Bi-Han with his sword, but he only hits an ice clone)

(Bi-Han appears behind Hanzo and punches him with an ice covered fist)

(Hanzo lays on the ground battered and bleeding)

(Bi-Han walks towards Hanzo with an ice spike raising from his hand)

Hanzo: (Weakly) You will die for this

Bi-Han: You first

(Bi-Han shoots an ice spike out of his hand that goes into Hanzo's mouth and out the back of his throat)

Bi-Han: (Whispers) For the Lin Kuei

(Bi-Han walks away as he proceeds to slaughter the rest of the Shirai Ryu as the vision starts to fade)

Scorpion: What is this?!

Quan Chi: Your clan. Your family

Scorpion: No!

Bi-Han: That is not me!

(Scorpion takes off his mask to reveal a burning skull, he grabs Bi-Han's head and rips his spine out with it)

(Scorpion re appears with Bi-Han's skull in his hand and drops it)

(When Scorpion drops Bi-Han's skull it crumbles into dust)

(Scorpion ignites into flames and teleports away)

Raiden: Despite my efforts, my vision has come to pass

Echo: Is that... Bi-Han? I think I'm gonna be sick

Kenshi: Ouch

Rain: Brutal

Raiden: An unfortunate end. He once defended earth realm from the armies of Shinnok and Quan Chi

Echo: Those were good days

Cyrax: Scorpion will pay for this

Raiden: Sub Zero's fate is his own doing

Cyrax: His own doing?!

Echo: Sorry to say it, but Raiden is right. Bi-Han always chose aggressive ways to solve his problems

Raiden: The Lin Kuei have a history of making ruinous choices

(Cyrax starts to walk off)

Raiden: Such as the cyber initiative

(Cyrax stops walking)

Echo: I thought that it was just a rumor

Cyrax: I am among those speaking out against the grand masters plan. Surgically transform the Lin Kuei into glorified robots? It kills our intuition, our instincts

Raiden: Did you speak out against the Lin Kuei's participation in this tournament?

Cyrax: We were invited by Shang Tsung

Raiden: He pays you to kill earth realm warriors. Betraying your own realm? I expect better. Even from an assassin

Cyrax: My loyalty is to the grand master. Echo, you should agree with this. Right?

Echo: Wrong

Cyrax: What?

Echo: I was rescued and raised by Bi-Han. Now that he is dead I am loyal to whoever I choose

(Cyrax starts to walk off again)

Raiden: Victory for Shang Tsung means the end of earth realm. And the Lin Kuei

(Cyrax stops again briefly but walks away)

(Baraka gets a mischievous look on his face and follows Cyrax)
