10. Starry Eyed

Aurora's POV

Two weeks later.

Exams, fun! 

Two more exams then we are done, done with school, and out of this shit hole. Currently its 3 am, on a Monday morning, I would usually be out partying or something right now but here I am, in my room having a panic attack. Not the greatest look, Dan was probably sleeping so he couldn't hear me crying. I didn't want to bother him with my problems, he always tells me no matter what problem I'm having I could always call, text, wake him up. I never wake him up, because I'm scared, scared that he wont understand. Having a panic attack is horrible, it feels like your drowning, your vision goes blurred because of the endless stream of tears cascading down your face. I should be asleep right now, I have an exam in 5 hours. Shouldn't I be happy? 2 more exams and I'm out? Free from this hell. 

I wipe my eyes, and tuck my knees under my chin. I hear my window open, I shift my vision to it. "Dan?"

"Yeah, are you okay?" he yawns, wiping his eyes, making his glasses shift. I shrug. He makes his way into my bed and makes me lay next to him. I position myself so my head is in the crook of his neck, and so his head was resting above mine. I curled up next to him and try to calm my breath. "Sleep Aurora, you need it, tell me whats wrong in the morning.". 

"Sing for me?" I croak. 

"Oh, oh, starry eyed Starry eyed

Hit, hit, hit, hit, hit me with lightningHandle bars, and then I let go, let go for anyoneTake me in, and throw out my heart and get a new one

Next thing we're touchingYou look at me it's like you hit me with lightning

And with that I drifted off into oblivion.
