Emilys pov

as were driving to my aunt Tammys I look to the back seat and see Danny sitting there eyes closed tears sliding down her cheeks but I decide to leave her. I know she needed to let it all out and I was glad she was. all I wanted was to have the happy-go-lucky Danny I had back when we were 16 I missed the endless nights we spent laughing and writing songs together. I let my eyes slip closed as I fell into a light slumber

Dannys pov

I wake up as soon as the engines cut off not realizing I had fallen to sleep "wow this place is amazing!" I exclaimed looking in awe at the 3 story home. I get out of the car "ill show you around the house dandan" said Emily dragging me by the wrist. I silently let out a cry as she holds to tight. Emily leads me too this large room on the top floor "wow is this my room?" I smile looking around "yea it was my room when I would come to stay but now I have Steves room since he's at college" she smiles and plops my bags on the ground "ill leave you to unpack" she leaves gently shutting the door. I walk over to the double doors and to my luck I see that there is a skate park around the corner. I quickly change into a pair of grey skinnys and my favourite top with a turtle on it and my black and green hoodie I slip on my converse picking up my skate board running down the stairs. when I get to the kitchen I see Emily standing there smiling at me "found the skate park did you?" she laughed I smiled she knew I loved to board "can I go over and skate?" she laughed "your eighteen you don't have to ask" I smile hugging her "ill be back soon" I step out into the blistering sun getting onto my board heading to the skate park. as soon as I get there I regret it everyone stares at near I enter the lot. I don't see any girls but there are a few guys and there pretty good I sat on the bench and watched I heard a few loud whispers. I put my head down looking at the ground looking at my shoes thinkin about going home and then my phone buzzed in my pocket

I smiled and stood up getting on my board every single person watching me as i start doing tricks. after I finish I sat on the bench and I saw a group of people coming my way I had seen them watching me as I skate from the big oak tree I put my head down hoping they wouldn't walk past "wow dude that was awesome! haven't seen you around here" I didn't say anything just nodded "he must not talk" I heard another voice say, looking up at them I say "dude I'm not a guy" they all started laughing and the one who thought I was a guy had his head down while laughing "dude that dude isn't a dude" one guy said to him and in return he punched his arm "you new here? never seen you around" says someone "yeah I'm here on holidays I'm from new Zealand" I said shyly as I saw one of them staring at me "explains the accent, well I'm Mike this is my brother Vic and our mates Tony and Jamie" pointing to everyone. Tony was still staring at me. "I'm Danny" I smiled and stood up "I better get going" I picked up my board and waved goodbye as I started walking home. I looked back and they were all still watching me just as I turned my head back I walked into a street sign. I looked and saw them laughing and ran home embarrassed

Tonys pov

"Mike smokings bad bro" vic tries to knock the smoke out of his hands I laugh and something catches my eyes there was I guy at the skate park and he was really good "oi look at that guy" I pointed over at the guy skating "shit he's better than you Tone" I punch vic at his smart remark "never seen him before" we see him sit down and we head over to see who it was his head was down "wow dude tat was awesome! haven't seen you around" if didn't say anything ignoring Mikes statement "he must not talk" Jamie said and to my surprise his head shoots up but he is a girl "dude I'm not a guy" we all laugh even Jaime even though his heads down. I can't stop staring at her, her eyes were a light ice blue and the sun made them sparkle. she had am accent but I didn't recognize it. Mike introduced us, "I'm Danny" I smiled I liked that name I continued staring she was cool and she could skate too! "I'm from new Zealand" I didn't know where that was but I liked the accent. she started walking away and she looked back over at us and turned back and walked into a pole. the boys laughed and I saw her blush lightly. she quickly turned and ran away and I saw something shiny fall from her pocket.

"guys I gotta go mama won't be happy if I'm late" they looked at my curiously "what?" I question "nothing" Mike says sarcastically "see you later Tone" I turn and walked away 'maybe Christmas holidays won't be so bad' I thought to myself. I started walking in the direction she went, good thing I lived down this street otherwise id look like a creep, I laughed to myself. I walked up to the pole and something caught my eye a silver bracelet lays on the ground I pick it up inspecting it, inside there was an engraving 'Danielle my princess I'm with you always, Daddy.x' I started walking down the street searching for her I can't see her on the footpath I give up and put my head down and walk towards my house when I hear a familiar voice "hey mumma how's the trip? I miss you guys already I just need someone to talk to"she was sobbing "just please call me back I miss my dad and its unfair but I haven't told Emmy I'm like this, well I love you mumma" she hung up the phone dropping it to the ground with her head in her shaky hands "hey, Danny right? are you okay?" she looks up looking embarrassed "yeah I'm fine" she said flatly I sit myself next to her "I found this on the footpath I think it belongs to you" I hand her the bracelet and tears well up in her eyes "oh thank you I thought I had lost this"she put it in her pocket "Tony right?" I smiled "yeah you got it" she smiled back weakly "how long you here for on holidays?" she looked down again "until the 28th but I come back a week before school starts cause I'm gonna do my last year of schooling here" why was I so happy to hear that I barely knew her and its not like she would go to my shit school "I better go my mum is probably looking for me" standing up I catch my eye on fierce red cuts on her wrist "do you wanna hang out tomorrow? me and the boys can show you around" she looked up and blushed "thanks that would be great" I wave and walk home thinkin about her the whole way
