After rigorous training Athena was headed back to her bedroom when Lucy caught up to her. "Hey Athena...your mom told me about Carol." Lucy said. "Yea and?" Athena asked. "Just thought I'd tell you I understand why you're not chatty. But if you want...I'd like to be friends." Lucy offered. Athena looked at Lucy. "Fine. Friends. Now go bugger off. I'm gonna shower and go have breakfast." With that Athena disappeared into her bedroom and shut the door.

A few minutes later Athena sat at the table with Maverick and Sage lying behind her chair. She sat beside Valkyrie and Wanda who was putting pancakes on her plate. Athena put a large scoop of scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, and pancakes on her plate just as Lucy sat down opposite her. "Whose dogs?" Lucy asked. "Wha— oh Maverick and Sage are Athena's dogs. They're specially trained." Valkyrie stated. "What are they? German Shepherds?" Lucy asked. "No. Belgian Malinois. Much more badass." Wanda replied.

Lucy looked at Athena. "Do they bite?" Athena looked up at her. "Not unless I tell them to." Everyone began laughing around her. "They do have a mean bite though even with the suit on." Steve chimed in. "You let them bite him?" Lucy asked her eyes wide. "Of course I did, he had a suit on. No bruises on him, besides he egged me on about it, so I showed him what my dogs did." Athena said with a shrug. "It was a tackle worthy of Asgardian wolves!" Thor boomed.  Thor's booming statement caused another rounds of laughter to erupt around the table. "So are your dogs...your only pets?" Lucy asked. "No. I have a stallion named Merlin. My mom and I go to the stables in town and go riding once in a while." Athena said. "Merlin doesn't like anyone but my daughter, he only tolerates me once in a while." Natasha added.
