This next kiss only lasted a second before Carol pulled away. "Um...I should go..." Carol stammered. Athena looked at Carol a confused expression on her face. "What? Why..." Athena whispered as Carol ran from the room. "I'm sorry...." Carol said as she shut Athena's door. Athena was confused by what just happened. Did she do something wrong? Was the kiss bad? Did she read the room wrong? Athena was lost in thought that she didn't realize it was getting later and later. One quick glance at her alarm clock she shut off her television and console, locked her bedroom door and got ready for bed.

In the morning Athena went to the training room and hopped on the treadmill for a warm up run. She had her headphones on and her music playing in her ears. She was preoccupied with her running that she never saw Carol coming into the training room. Carol slowly approached Athena not sure about how go about talking to her after she ran off on her last night. Slowly she stepped onto the treadmill and put her headphones on and started the exercise machine up. Athena glanced at Carol before looking away and continued her warm up.

A little while later Athena moved on to the punching bag leaving Carol on the treadmill. Seeing this Carol got off the treadmill and strutted over to the punching bag Athena was hitting  really hard. Carol watched Athena hitting the bag with all her strength. "Athena!" Carol called out. "Athena!" Carol called again when she got no response. Eventually Carol just pulled Athena's headphones off. "Athena!" Carol exclaimed. "What?" Athena groaned. "I'm sorry about last night." Carol said. "Oh?" Athena asked arching an eyebrow at her.

"Yes, I'm sorry for running away on you. I didn't know what else to do. I was scared, and the second kiss...it was nice. But...I got nervous about doing something more." Carol explained. "So you ran? Instead of just telling me that last night. If you had told me I would have understood." Athena explained. "I'm sorry." Carol whispered. "It's fine." Athena replied. "So we're good?" Carol asked hesitantly. "Yea we're good." Athena replies with a smile.
