HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN SINCE IVE EVEN OPENED THIS HOLY MOLY

Glisten and Boxten sat together on the couch, leaning into each other, not caring about how many people were there.

Poppy glared at Glisten strong enough to shatter him.

"Stop staring, i'll burn your eyes with my beauty."Glisten said, shooting a look back at the bubble.

"No, you're burning my eyes because of how ugly you are."She shot back without skipping a beat.

Boxten snickered and slapped a hand over his mouth as he giggled.

Glisten's jaw dropped for a second before he adjusted his position to have his back turned away from Poppy.

Scraps sat by Poppy too, extending one claw forward and pointing back and forth between Boxten and Glisten.

"So you guys are like... a thing now?"She asked, her ears and tail flicking uncontrollably.

"Heh.. yeah..."Boxten said shyly, leaning harder into the mirror.

Glisten smirked and put his arm around Boxten's shoulders.

"Yeah, see, I told you!"Poppy said, turning to the paper cat, who handed her a stack of tapes, rolling her eyes with pinned ears.

Just then Astro walked in, followed by Vee and Pebble.

The four who were already in the room stared at them like deer in headlights.

"Oh sorry, did we interrupt something?-"Astro mumbled, already trying to shuffle away but nearly tripped on Pebble.

Vee immediately caught the way that the two men were sitting together.

"Woah. What's going on here?"She asked, her screen lighting up with a big green exclamation mark and then a question mark.

Pebble barked. That's all he really does most of the time. Usually he does it at flies that had snuck their way into Gardenview.Other bugs too, he doesn't discriminate.

Glisten tried to pull off the box but Boxten just held on tighter.

"These guys are GAY."Poppy said loudly, pointing at the couple.

Several dots spun around each other on Vee's screen, as if she was processing something, before returning to her face asset.

"Yeah I knew that."She said looking down and fixing her bow tie like this was a normal Tuesday."This place is crawling with queer people. Glisten has enough zest to keep sharing it with everyone he meets. He spreads it around like a disease."

Astro giggled but then realized that Vee was now staring directly at him, which made him turn away, flustered.

"Yeah like you?"Scraps said, flicking her tail repeatedly.

Vee's antennae twitched a little and her eye glitched out a bit before she extended her tail and held it, tapping it a couple times.

"Not gay! I do not concern myself with romantic bonds and relationships, though I do value most of you lot to some extent."She said proudly, spinning the mic.

(she's an aroace queen i want you to fight me on that statement)

"Tomato, Tamato."Scraps replied, tapping her claws to her face.

"not gay."Vee made some kind of distorted sound and dropped the tail, letting it retract in her back once again.

Astro stepped around Vee and sat next to Glisten and Boxten who were in a world of their own, ignoring the banter between Scraps and Vee.

"Proud of you guys for being so open about it."Astro said, judging Glisten.

"You've been in our dreams haven't you."Boxten said, pointing at the moon.

"... noooooooooo..-"He dragged on, sinking into the couch.

"I was WONDERING why i've been having actually GOOD dreams for once!"The box continued, sitting more upright and half-crawling over Glisten, who wasn't protesting at all.

"You didn't like my dreams? :c "Astro said in a kind of whiny tone

Boxten frowned and blushed a little."I mean they were alright..."

"You gave him nightmares."Glisten chimed in, staring at Astro who was sweating now.

"I'm sorry.."Astro's head hung low and he got up, clutching his blanket tighter.

Poppy and Scraps had already left, Vee stood at the doorway still, and Pebble had been trying to climb onto the couch this entire conversation.

Eventually two extra arms slipped out from Astro's blanket as he helped the rock up.

Then his antennae (yes i hc astro with antennae leave me alone) shot up when he realized Glisten and Boxten were staring at him.

"How did you- Were those more arms?-"Boxten said, his hand trembling as he held it up to his mouth.

"Ew."Glisten said bluntly, not moving at all.

Astro's jaw dropped and Vee finally snapped out of her trance at the door.

"Okay, we should go."She said, slowly and gently picking up Pebble and dragging the shocked and kinda upset moon out of the room.

Then Glisten and Boxten were alone.

"Glisten!"Boxten scolded the mirror, slapping his shoulder kinda gently, as to not hurt his boyfriend.

"What!? He's like a bug! You know how I feel about bugs!"Glisten defended himself, rather horribly but it was an attempt.

"You just flat out said 'EW' to him! Glisten have you no sympathy at all?"Boxten pulled off of Glisten and crossed his arms.

Glisten's eyes drooped and he sighed, flopping sideways against the back of the couch.

Boxten saw the ... kind of sadness in the mirrors eyes.

"Glistttteennnnn you gotta be nicer.."The box said, squeezing his hand gently.

"That's like asking a fish to breathe air, it's physically impossible."

"But you hurt Astro's feelings!"He protested once more, moving a little further back away from Glisten, who was rolling into his back to lay because idk, he's bored.

Glisten let out some defeated mumble before crossing his arms.

"Alright, I'm sorry. I am."He said, frowning and shifting his shoulders like he was uncomfortable.

The box finally moved back over and laid down next to his partner, snuggling up like it was the most natural thing in the world.

"Don't blame me if you get any bad dreams tonight, alright?"He whispered, looking up with only his eyes to meet the mirror's.

"Deal!"Glisten said, putting an arm around Boxten and using the other to pull a throw pillow closer to them to rest their heads comfortably.
