Glisten slammed the door behind him, causing the pictures and mirrors along his wall to rattle and shake.

A mirror hanging up fell and rolled to his feet.Glisten stared at himself in the mirror.

The crack.

It had grown bigger?He growled in fury and stomped on the mirror, glass shards scraped his feet.

He yelped and fell back onto the floor.The giant mirror at his vanity stared at him.Menacingly.

"WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT!? IM FINE!!"Glisten shouted and threw the frame of the mirror he had just stomped on at the vanity.

The mirror above the desk cracked but didn't shatter completely.

Glisten's chest heaved as he struggled to stand, from the injuries in his foot.He saw his own distorted figure in the mirror.But this time, instead of lashing out on the innocent reflective, he just cried.

He just cried as he threw himself onto his bed, sobbing into his hands as he trailed ichor onto the sheets from his foot.He didn't care for the covers anymore.He didn't want them to keep him warm, he wanted somebody else.Anybody, at this point.

Glisten had never felt more alone in his life.

"I'm sorry..."He groaned as he eyed the telephone on the nightstand.

Just as if he had summoned it, the phone began to ring, startling him but he quickly stumbled to answer it.

"H-Hello!?"Glisten tried to put on a fake happy voice.(okay edgelord)

((writing the word "edgelord" in 2025 feels so wrong-))

"Are you alright? I heard you weren't feeling all too well."It was Cosmo.

".. I'm fine, really! Just had a bad day, that's it."Glisten fiddled with his bow a bit as Cosmo went on about something Glisten couldn't quite make out.

"Alright cya!"Glisten hung up the phone when Cosmo was in the middle of talking about 'self reflection' or whatever.

Glisten knew about reflection, he was a mirror for gods sake!

He turned towards the broken vanity one more time, before grabbing a jawbreaker he had for some reason and chucking it to the dead center of the vanity.

It broke and Glisten watched thousands of tiny pieces fall onto his desk and the floor.

Glass bits sprinkled the floor of the room everywhere, the only safe place to walk at the moment was Glisten's own bed.So that's what he did, he kept himself safe by staying inside his bed.

The sheets had slowly provided more comfort to Glisten now.
