PART 63

Having learned Sky's location, Nani immediately jumped into his car and sped off.  He arrived at a modern, stylish house, where a young girl was playing on the balcony.  Upon seeing Nani, she skipped down to greet him. "Hi!" she chirped, waving enthusiastically. A wave of confusion washed over Nani. Whose child is this? he wondered. The girl bore a striking resemblance to Sky. Could this be Sky's child? The thought both thrilled and unsettled him. Nani knelt down, gently taking the girl's hand. "What's your name, little one?" he asked softly. "My name is... Chingching!" she replied, her voice bright and clear. A mixture of emotions flooded Nani – relief, happiness, and a touch of bittersweet sorrow.  At least Sky seemed to be doing well.  But a torrent of questions filled his mind.  Had Sky been thinking about him these past months? Did he miss him? Did he still love him? And then the most daunting question of all: What if his suspicions about Sky having a child were true? Just then, a familiar voice cut through his thoughts. "Ching-ching!"
