Chapter 31

Genevieve's POV

Stupid Jacob! He revealed himself being a Werewolf to Charlie! Now, Charlie is coming here to see Bella and me. We were now trying to help Bella control her thirst and act human. I put brown contacts in her eyes, which were a lot like her normal eye color.

"They will irritate your eyes at first, but I think you'll be fine," I tell her

"The main thing is to not move too fast," Carlisle tells her

Carlisle wrapped his arm around my waist. I smiled at Bella.

"Try taking a seat. Crossing your legs" Esme tells her

Bella stands up and goes to sit down. She then speeds to the chair, making it hit the wall, and sits down with her legs crossed.

"Maybe a tad slower, Bella," I told her

"And blink at least three times a minute," Alice tells her

Bella blinks rapidly. I smiled at her in hopes she'll understand.

"Good," Alice says

"For a cartoon character," Jacob quips

I shot Jacob a glare, making him flinch. Carlisle placed a hand on my shoulder, making me calm down. I smiled at him and looked at Bella.

"Try holding your breath, it'll help with the thirst," I told her

"Don't forget to move your shoulders, so it looks like you're actually breathing" Edward tells her

"And don't sit so straight, humans don't do that" Rosalie tells her

Bella slouched and then found it weird, so she stood up. I smiled, knowing she got everything down. Hopefully, nothing bad happens when Charlie comes.

"Ok, I got it. Move around, blink, slouch." Bella says

Charlie was about to arrive and I was getting nervous. Not only will he see Bella, but he'll be meeting Renesmee. I felt a wave of calm wash over me, and I smiled knowing who did that.

"Thanks, Jasper," I told him

"No problem," Jasper says

Carlisle walked over to me and kissed my head. He held my hand in his and rubbed my hand with his thumb. The sound of a car arriving, made me realize that I missed Charlie. I haven't seen him, since I came to help bring Renesmee to the world.

I and Carlisle walked to the entrance of the house to greet him. I smiled seeing him and waited for him to come to me. Charlie smiled at me and Carlisle and pulled me into a hug. I hugged back tighter, but not enough to hurt him, and lead him inside. We walked upstairs to where Bella and Edward are.

Charlie went to Bella making all of us leave so he can talk to her. I grabbed Renesmee from her small crib and held her. Edward then walked in and gestured for me to hand him Renesmee. I smiled and handed her to him.

"How's it going?" I asked

"Good, so far," Edward tells me

Edward leaves with Renesmee in his arms. I walked over to Carlisle, who was sitting on the couch, and sat next to him. I nuzzled my head into his neck and clasped our hands together.

"I love you," I told him

Carlisle looked down at me shocked. He hadn't heard me say that in a while. He smiled before kissing my forehead.

"I love you too," He tells me

I smiled and laid my head back on his shoulder. Dad then walks in, making me stand up to walk over to him. He smiled at me and Carlisle, before pulling me into a hug. He then pulls back right away and grabs my hand, looking at the ring. I hit my head internally, knowing I didn't tell him about the engagement.

"I was going to tell you after the wedding, but with what happened to Bella, I wanted to wait. I thought you saw it already, you know, at Bella's wedding?" I asked him

"I didn't, and I'm surprised I didn't. Look at the size of that ring." Charlie says to me

I laughed as he was inspecting the ring. Carlisle walked over and placed his hand on my waist. Charlie turned towards Carlisle, making me nervous about what he was going to say.

"Take care of her" Charlie says

"I will," Carlisle tells him

I hugged Carlisle as Charlie smiled. He hugged me one last time, as we lead him out of the house. Edward, Bella, Jasper, and Emmett were there with us, watching as Charlie left.

"Well done, Bella. Never seen a newborn show that kind of restraint" Jasper comments

"I'm not so sure she is a newborn. She's so...tame" Emmett says

"Don't antagonize her. She's the strongest in the house" Edward tells him

"Also, I wouldn't mind trying to take you down" I commented, raising my hand

"Please," Emmett says cracking his joints

I stood in the backyard of the house with everyone. Emmett walked over with a big boulder and placed it between him and Bella.

"Please don't hurt yourselves," I said

"Don't worry" Emmett tells me

Emmett and Bella put their hands together, elbows on the boulder. I was nervous about who was going to win. Bella is a newborn and is supposed to be really strong, but Emmett is more muscular and strong.

"On three. 1...2...3!" Jasper calls out to them

They started. Emmett had Bella's arm down, almost touching the boulder. Then, Bella began pushing his arm down and slammed his arm down. I laughed, as she showed off her vampire strength.

I smiled at Emmett, then suddenly felt nauseous. I ran as fast as I could, with vampire speed, and ran to the bathroom. I threw up all the unknown contents in my stomach. I felt someone pull my hair back, so it wasn't in my face.

After I finished, I looked and saw it was Carlisle. He grabbed a cloth and wiped my face. He then grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the bathroom. Everyone was sitting in the living room, looking at us as we walked in.

"Viv, are you ok?" Bella asked standing up

"I don't know. I was fine one second then after the arm wrestling, I wasn't" I said

Suddenly, I felt dizzy. I started swaying before passing out.
