Chapter 20

Genevieve's POV

I decided that I don't want to fight. I still haven't gotten used to having powers. Bad thing was that Cullen's and the pack were fighting and could possibly be hurt or worse...killed. I don't want the people that I call the family to get hurt and/or killed.

It was the day of the newborn army and had been placing our scent, blood, on trees to get the newborns to the field so they can be killed. After I and Bella finished, we walked back to the tent area. Jacob was watching over us until it was Seth's turn.

Seth came with me to get wood, just in case the newborns came early, we then walked back. I smiled while I grabbed Seth's head and kissed it. He nuzzled his head into my arms. I petted him as we walked closer to Bella, Edward, and Jacob.

"At least I have written my name"Bella finished off what she was saying

"You're marrying him?"Jacob asks

"Jake..."Bella says

Bella than looked at Edward. Jacob ran off.

"You knew he was listening!"Bella says

"He deserves to know"Edward mutters

"Jake stop!"Bella calls out to him

Edward grabbed Bella's arm

"Bella wait, "Edward says

Bella rips her arm away and yells "Don't!"

I watched as Bella ran off, leaving me alone with Edward and Seth. Seth was sticking to my side, not one move I did made him not want to be by my side.(Anyone know what I'm thinking here)

Bella walked back and looked at Edward. I saw that her lips were swollen. She kissed Jacob!

"You saw?"Bella asks

"No, but Mom noticed your lips are swollen"Edward says

"Sorry!"I said

"It's ok. I don't know what happened"Bella says

"You love him"Edward tells her

"I love you more"Bella tells him

I was laying in the tent trying to get some rest. I couldn't sleep due to my thoughts and what's going on. I looked over at Bella and saw her shivering. I rolled over and cradled her in my arms trying to get her as warm as I can.

Bella tried to sleep so I stayed with her in my arms. Edward was sitting in the tent not knowing what to do. I felt the same way. I was freezing as well, but I did my best to keep it hidden.

"What can I do to help, Mom?"Edward asks

"Here hold her close to you. Try to get her warm as you can"I told him

"What about you?"Edward asks

"I'll be fine. Just take care of Bella first"I said

Edward nodded and laid down next to Bella. He wrapped his arms around her, but she pushed away from him because he was colder than outside. I heard the zipper open and Jacob got inside.

"I can't sleep with all the teeth chattering going on," Jacob says

"Forget it"Edward tells him reading his mind

"She's gonna need her toes someday. Let's face it, I am hotter than you."Jacob tells him

Edward glares at him. I ran my hand through Bella's hair hoping to calm her down. I then heard Edward slap his hand onto Jacob's arm. I looked up at them.

"Get your hand off me"Jacob tells him

"Get your hands off her"Edward tells him

"Edward, Jacob don't fight. Bella doesn't need this right now"I told them

"She gets sick it's all on you"Jacob tells Edward

I looked at Edward and saw him looking at me. I nodded to him telling him it will be ok. Edward looked at Jacob and nodded unwillingly allowing him to keep Bella warm. I turned over to my bed and went to sleep.

I woke up and got ready for this battle. Seth and Jacob switched places so Jacob can fight. Bella walked over to me and hugged me close to her. I wrapped my arms around her too. Edward arrived and was in a daze.

"What is it? Is someone hurt?"Bella asks

I felt worried again. What if someone was hurt? Was it Carlisle? Jacob? The kids? Esme? Anyone?

"Victoria's coming. I hear her thoughts. Seth go!"Edward tells the little wolf

Seth nodded his head and ran off. Bella got out of my arms and walked over to Edward. Edward grabbed my hand and held it in his as he wrapped his arms around Bella.

"She knew we weren't there. She caught our scent"I said

"She found us"Bella says

"She's not alone," Edward says

As he said that a boy stepped out from the trees. I remember him from the flyers Charlie had. Riley Biers.

"Riley. Listen to me. Victoria's just using you to distract me. She'll know I'll kill you. In fact, she'll no longer have to deal with you"Edward tells him as Victoria lands on the tree

"Don't listen to him, Riley. I told you about their mind tricks."Victoria tells him

"I can read her mind. So I know what she thinks of you."Edward says

"He's lying"Victoria tells him

"She only created you and this army to avenge her one true love, James. It's the only thing she cares about. Not you."Edward tells him

"Their is only you. You know that."Victoria says

"Think about it. You're from Forks. You know the area. That's the only reason she chose you. She doesn't love you."Edward tell them

"Riley. Don't let them do this to us. You know I love you."Victoria says

Riley steps forward

"You're dead"Riley says

Seth then jumps out and attacks him. Seth than ripped his hand off making him scream in pain. Victoria than jumped onto the ground.

"You won't get a chance like this again. You want them. You want me to feel the pain that I caused you after I killed James. When I tore him apart limb by limb. Where I turned him to ash. When I turned him to nothing."Edward tells her

Victoria then attacked Edward. They rolled onto the ground kicking and punching each other. I was then launched into a tree and I blacked out not before hearing a growl.
