Chapter 5

Genevieve's POV

Today was Bella's field trip to some plant area. She wanted me to be there when she goes. I decided to have Bella drive me to the school because I was having a massive headache. I had my hand in my hand as I leaned against the truck door. The truck then parks into the parking lot. Me and Bella then get out and walk to the side of the truck. Bella then dazed out. I then saw a boy with blonde hair walk over to us. He seemed to want something.

"Hey Bella! Your alive!" the guy says doing a terrible Frankenstein impression

"Yeah"Bella says

"Hi, I'm Genevieve Swan. Bella's Older Sister."I greet the boy

"Mike Newton. Bella, would you like to go to prom? With me?"Mike asks Bella

I smirk and then walked away. There wasn't many chaperones maybe like two or three. One stood out to me though. Blonde hair and was talking to Edward and two other people. One was a girl with short Black hair and had gold eyes. The other was a boy with blonde hair and also had the gold eyes. Like Carlisle. My bag fell making me groan in frustration. I knelt to pick it up only for a familiar, pale hand to pick it up. I looked up and saw Carlisle carrying it.

"Carlisle, thank you"I tell him

"No problem"Carlisle says

He held my purse out to me. I smiled and took it. I placed it under my arm as Edward and the two other people walked over.

"Hey Carlisle. We are about to get on the bus. Hi Miss Swan"Edward greets us

"Please, call me Genevieve, Gennie, or Viv, "I tell him

"Hi, I'm Alice Cullen and this is my boyfriend, Jasper"Alice greets

"Hello, nice to meet you"I greet

"You, too"Jasper says back

I smiled at them and then looked over my shoulder to Bella. Edward and Carlisle looked at Jasper in shock that he said something to me. Edward then looked at Bella as well. I then turned back to the family.

"We should get on the bus. Don't want the teacher to yell at you three"I tell Alice, Jasper, and Edward

"Yes. She's right"Carlisle says

The Cullen's walked to the bus leaving me and Carlisle behind. Carlisle wrapped his arm around me and we walked to the bus. We sat down with his kids and I talked to them and got to know them. Jasper was really quiet, but he did his best to communicate with me. I looked around for Bella and didn't see her.

"She's on the other bus. This bus had no more room"Edward tells me

"Ok," I said simply

We arrived at the field trip and went inside. I met up with Bella and her friends. Her friends were really nice, especially Angela, except Jessica was kind of a snob and a drama queen.

I didn't know that Carlisle followed me until I felt his hand brush against mine. I looked at him and saw him staring at me only to have him hand me a flower.

"Why thank you"I tell him taking the flower from him

"You are welcome"Carlisle says

We walked side by side as we followed the kids around. I looked around and saw Bella talking to Edward. I am really thankful to him that he saved Bella, but also curious. Knowing Bella, she will try and find out straight away and assume things. I, on the other hand, wait until they felt like they can tell me. Carlisle held my hand in his probably tired of our hands bumping into each other.

"Bella and Edward seem close, don't you think?"Carlisle asks

"Yeah it seems so. I just don't want her hurt"I say sighing

"She won't. Edward will make sure she is safe and cared for"Carlisle says

"Promise?"I asked

"I promise"Carlisle says kissing my hand

I blushed and looked down. I looked ahead and saw Bella smirking at me. She then walked over to us. Edward watched her as she walked over.

"Hey. Hi, Dr.Cullen"Bella greets as Edward walks over to us

"Call me Carlisle, out of the hospital"Carlisle tells her

"Ok. Gennie, I need to talk to you"Bella says walking away

"Excuse us"I tell Carlisle and Edward

I took my hand out of Carlisle's and walked away from them. Bella walked to a corner of the plant room. I followed behind her and she grabbed my hand.

"Look, I know I may be jumping into things, but I can't help but notice Carlisle's reactions when he is with you. He looks at you with so much admiration and love. I have only seen him once, but I can tell that man is in love with you"Bella tells me

"I have feelings for him, yes, but he has had old assistants who were only there to get close to him. I don't want to jeopardize that"I tell her

"What if he has feelings for you and you guys get together?"Bella asks

"That would be a whole different thing. Even if he does I don't know what to do if he does. I mean I hear he is married or something like that. Besides that, I don't want to ruin his relationship with his wife"I tell her

"Viv, you are such an angel that no man would say no to you and you'll figure it all out. Also, he's not married, and I have another question"Bella tells me

"What is it?"I asked

"Ok. Do you remember Jessica and Angela?"Bella asks

"Yes, I literally met them a few seconds ago"I say simply

"Well, we are going to Port Angeles to get prom dresses"Bella tells me

"You? Prom? Dresses? Bella you ok?"I asked

"Not for me. I am going with them to give them my advice on their dresses and I also want to go to this book store close by for a book. Jessica was going to drive, but her car broke down. So, what I mean to ask is can you give us a ride?"Bella asks after her rambling

"Why not use your truck?"I asked

"Please!"Bella pleads

"Ok. Ok. When?"I asked

"Tomorrow"Bella says sheepishly

"Gee. Couldn't give a girl a warning. Ok. Tomorrow"I tell her

"Thank you"Bella says running off

I laugh and walk back over to Carlisle. Edward, Jasper, and Alice were there now talking to him. I walked over and Carlisle saw me and smiled making his kids look at me.

"Hey, sorry about that. She just needed a ride for tomorrow"I tell him

"It's ok"Carlisle says taking my hand back in his

"Hi Gennie! This is for you!"Alice says handing me a flower

"Oh thank you, "I tell her

"I think the field trip is over. People are getting on the buses" Jasper says

"Right, let's go," Carlisle says

We all get on the bus and head back to the school. I head to my car and waited for Bella. I saw Carlisle looking at me and I smiled at him. He smiled back and got into his car with his kids. Bella walked over and got in with a smirk on her face. I shook my head not knowing what was in this girl's mind.
