Chapter 15: A Brand New Idol

 Since Valerie was Juliette's manager, she asked her about becoming an idol and how that would impact her Instagram page.

"Do you honestly want to become an idol?" Valerie questioned her.

"Everyone has asked me that and I don't know so I came to you hoping you'd give me an answer," Juliette replied, a bit annoyed.

"It's not up to me to decide that, if you want to become an idol, I won't stop you. I even think your followers would be supportive of your career change and your paintings could go up in value."

"But what about Paris? I don't want to totally abandon my life in Paris. I have a house and a studio there. Then there's you! I don't want to leave you!"

"Juliette, let's be realistic here. You will eventually have to leave your life in Paris behind because Jimin is your soulmate. So even if you came back, you'd have to move to Korea at some point since his whole career is there and it's easier for you to move painting equipment than it is for him to switch labels and write a new contract and abandon six members. Maybe you should be an idol out of convenience for your relationship with Jimin."

"What if I don't enjoy being an idol? What if I mess up? What if I cause a scandal?"

"What if you love it? What if you become very successful? What if...anything really. There's so many unknowns when doing something new so all you have to do is try, if that's what you choose."

*Time skip ahead one week*

Juliette gathered everyone and Valerie (through video call) to make her announcement of becoming an idol or not.

"Ok guys, after a lot of thinking, I've decided that becoming an idol is not the path I wish to take. It's too big of a change for me to go through alone and it would keep me away from Jimin since we'd both be busy. But, I came up with an amazing idea."

Everyone was confused as to what she was thinking about doing.

"Mr. Bang wants a new artist on the label right? I have a new artist for him!"

"But Mr. Bang said..." Jungkook started.

"Shh Jungkook," Taehyung interrupted, "Don't interrupt our noona."

"It's ok but," Juliette said, "I am very excited to tell you who I have in mind."

"Spit it out then!" Valerie yelled through the screen.

"The new artist I have for Mr. Bang is Sacha!"

All the BTS members had no idea of who this Sacha person was so the name meant nothing to them.

"My husband Sacha?" Valerie asked.

"Yes, your husband Sacha! He's a singer who's been searching for a record deal, he's younger than me at 24, beautiful voice, good looking, half Korean and fluent in the language...what more could HYBE want? And you wanna know what the best part is?"

"What is it?" Valerie said.

"Since you know how to sew and are super good at fashion, you could be his wardrobe manager and make all his outfits! Oh you'll be such a cute power couple working in the industry!"

"I don't know about this."

"C'mon guys, help me out here," Juliette said to the members.

"Well...it doesn't hurt to at least ask Mr. Bang, right?" Jimin commented.

The others exchanged some nods as Valerie watched.

"Ask Sacha first and then get back to me, ok?" Juliette told her.

"Mmm...alright," Valerie hesitantly replied and then hung up.

"I don't think Sacha will make it," Jungkook said.

"Why do you say that? You've never even heard him sing or know what he looks like," Juliette called him out.

"Well yeah but Mr. Bang said..."

There was a knock on the door and Jin answered it. In came Ji-Hoon.

"Hey hyungs and noona! How are y'all doing?" Ji-Hoon asked with a smile.

"We're doing alright," Namjoon replied, "What brings you to our dorm?"

"I came to congratulate noona on becoming an idol! Everyone in my group is talking about it."

"How do you even know about the offer?" Juliette asked.

"I overheard Mr. Bang talking about needing a new idol in a meeting a couple weeks ago. I was waiting outside to sign my contract and he said it. After the meeting, I suggested you and he took it into consideration!"

"Wow Ji-Hoon that's...I don't know what it is but you're mistaken, I'm not accepting."

"Backtrack real quick," Jin pointed out, "You said your whole group knows?"

"Yeah! I told them everything about me being the double and then noona being the double, the soulmate thing, and so on."

"Ji-Hoon! How could you do that?" Jimin practically yelled at him.

"Relax hyung, I trust my group mates. Besides, noona is going to be revealed to be your soulmate anyway so what does it matter if we keep the secret now?"

"Well you trust them but I don't," Jimin muttered to himself.

"Noona isn't accepting," Taehyung repeated.

"What do you mean she's not accepting? Being an idol is amazing! I know I'm still in pre-debut but it's already been so fun and rewarding."

"What positions did you get?" J-Hope asked, curiously.

"Oh I'm the main dancer, visual, and leader."

"Leader?!" everyone asked in unison.

"Yeah! They made me the leader since I have 'idol' experience from being Jimin that one time and because I've been a trainee for the longest compared to my group mates. You guys didn't know about this?"

Everyone shook their heads no.

"Glad I got you all up to speed then."

"I got offered to be a solo artist which is very different from what I've been hearing and I am a lot older than you. So I decided to give the position to my cousin's husband," Juliette commented.

"Highly doubt Mr. Bang will give it to him but we can see."

Ji-Hoon then excused himself because he had rehearsal and a photoshoot. After he left, Valerie called Juliette that night and said Sacha agreed to attend the meeting and was very excited to potentially have Valerie as his stylist.

Several days later, Juliette picked up Valerie and Sacha from the airport, helped them settle at their aunt's house for a temporary stay, and then drove them in time for their meeting that night with Mr. Bang at the HYBE headquarters. Juliette walked into the office first and the other two followed behind her.

"Such a pleasure to see you my future...idol," Mr. Bang began, "Who are those two?"

"This is Valerie, my cousin and current manager. The man is..." Juliette said.

"Pleasure to meet you Mr. Bang!" Sacha interrupted as he approached Mr. Bang and excitedly shook his hand. "My name is Sacha and I am so excited to have this opportunity to become a professional recording artist. It has been my dream!"

"Excuse me, what?" Mr. Bang said, confused.

Juliette explained her denial of becoming an idol and that since there was an open position for a new one, she thought Sacha would be a good replacement to fill her spot. She praised his talents and Sacha even sang a little live for Mr. Bang. He was not impressed and didn't say a word the entire time. Once she and Sacha finished, he finally spoke.

"I told you the day I made the offer that I wanted a new female idol in the company. We have so many male groups and solo artists, we don't need anymore."

"That's probably what Jungkook was trying to remind me about the other day and he kept getting cut off. Now I feel stupid for even bothering all of them," Juliette thought to herself.

"Mr. Bang, I know you have many but Sacha is different and unique, in my unprofessional opinion," Valerie defended him.

"Who are you again?"

"I'm Valerie, Sacha's wife."

"And you're here because?"

"Juliette thought I could be Sacha's stylist since I'm very good at sewing and have an eye for fashion."

"Let me get this straight. You and Sacha are married which makes you soulmates. He sings and you sew. That's perfect actually!"

"So you'll accept me into the label?" Sacha asked, excited.

"No, but she can be accepted," Mr. Bang said while gesturing towards Valerie.

"But I can't sing or dance!"

"But we're soulmates and that means we can control our talent switch. I know what Mr. Bang is going for," Sacha said as his tone grew sadder.

A silence took over the room as the realization dawned on her.

"You want me to switch talents with Sacha so I can sing and then sign with HYBE, correct?"

Mr. Bang pulled out a piece of paper.

"All we have to do is switch Juliette's name with your's on this contract and it can be your record deal, if you want it."

Valerie looked around at everyone, contemplating.

"Do you accept?"
