#18: The Battle

3rd Person's POV

I was gonna tell him already about the lil secret of mine but some stupid news interrupted us... Oh well, maybe I'll just show him later Blackhat thought, frustratedly while walking through the hallways then he bumped into Demencia and the two just stayed still"Oh hey boss!" She exclaimed while posing into seductive manner

"Demencia, stay with Dr.Flug until this stupid battle ends" Blackhat simply told her"There's a waarr?? With who?!" Demencia asked, who was now jumping excitedly"With the blasted heroes! Now move!" Blackhat growled at herDemencia squealed in reply then went to go to the scientist

... Alright... All check, and everything is now ready... Oh I hope we'll ace this one, didn't expect that they will be the ones now who wants to commit a war. I mean, it was usually the villains who always start wars... but this one seems off.. Who in there right mind would- no, Goldheart won't do that, his heart is pure as- NO, WHY WOULD I CARE?? STUPID MIND, YOU NEED TO FORGET ABOUT HIM NOW Flug thought in panic

"FLUGGY! ARE YOU READY NOW? YOU EXCITED?!" Demencia screamed as she landed in front of Flug from crawling through the vents Flug jumped in surprised at this, giving him a mini heart attack"Will you stop doing that? I'll die from heart attack before the battle even begins!" Flug screeched

"Now don't be silly!"

"What are you even doing here? Why are you here?"

"We're gonna be sidekicks! Don't you want that?? We'll fight the heroes together! It will be coool!"

"Right right I'll- OH SHIT" Flug was suddenly got interrupted by a loud crash on a certain area of their manorIt made their house shake so much that they almost lost their balance"What the heck was that??" Demencia asked, who started to look around"They're probably here.." Flug muttered, who was still anxious about something"Already?? Well, let's just finish them off!" Demencia exclaimed while warming herself up

Flug was still worried about Demencia. Yes, Demencia can't be easily defeated now but he was staring at her with a worried look on his face, even though his face was really covered by his paperbag but Demencia could still tell his expressions or emotions"What's up with you? Why are you looking at me like that?" Demencia asked, tilting her head

"*sigh* it's just... I still couldn't get it out in my head about what happened to you.."

"Hey now, don't worry about me! I'm fine now, really! Besides, we'll stick together so... less worry!" Demencia reassured then gave him a hard pat on the back "ow"

(I'm sorry but I'm really lazy to write battle scenes so... Let's just kinda skip a lot of fights, but they still fought... so if u know what I mean)

... Demencia was now fighting along the other villains who's also member at the blackhat organization with the heroes from the outside of their manor while Flug was fighting from the inside. Yes, they got into separate ways because the battle was starting to get complicated and of course the duo won't give up to their enemies that easily. Blackhat on the other hand was just observing them, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.

Flug headed back to his lab to gather more of his weapons because most of his weapons already ran out because of the heroes. He hopefully lost them along the way, hope that he led them for Blackhat to get rid of them insteadBut he was shock when the heroes followed him inside who just destroyed the door

Dang.. Where is boss right now?? I need his help but I'm too afraid to ask.. What even is he doing at the moment like this? Flug thought to himself, now pointing his ray towards the group of heroes

"*chuckles* give it up now you mad scientist, you can't defeat us. We totally outnumbered you, you're alone and a weakling one" said one of them as they approached the poor trembling scientist closerUgh shit..

... Meanwhile at the very basement of the manor... Goldheart was roaming around through the dark hallways, it's like his main goal here was to find something and he haven't encountered any villain yetHe was using his light power to bright up his pathHe checked every rooms there but it seems like he haven't found it yet

It took him minutes to finally found what he was looking forThe inside of the room which he just entered was... astonishing to watch

There stand the giant golden crystal while Blackhat was being inside of itGoldheart smiled to himself but the door behind him suddenly shut closed which made him flinch a bit

"Well well well, look who do we have here..? *chuckles evilly*"

"Show yourself! We know that you aren't really that free to be able to end everyone and even everything!You're just a wandering copy of your real body!" Goldheart exclaimed who was now on his defense stance

Yes it's true, he doesn't have the ability to kill, even if he wanted to but he just couldn'tWhat he just did to his previous employees was just a temporary pain, fired them, and threaten/scared them off to never show upHe couldn't kill anymore ever since that golden crystal incident

"You're a blasted oldest goodie goodie two shoes offspring, I tell you that" Blackhat said as he started to morph back in front of Goldheart who was glaring daggers at him"Also, leave my brother alone and never never come near him again!" Goldheart snarled"Oh so you still cared about him, how sweet. But unfortunately, I don't think he would ever going back to you at all... ever"

"Oh but I'll make sure he'll come back to the good side where he's forever be safe rather than being in the most dangerous place with most hideously dangerous people!" Goldheart yelled at him, leaning closer, showing no fear at allHe was too confident to bring his young brother back

Blackhat started circling around the hero like a hungry predator"But you can't, he ain't going anywhere even if you force him""What do you even mean by that?!""You see, he sold his soul to me so you can't really do anything about it~" "YOU MONSTER!" Goldheart snapped then struck Blackhat a hard punch but Blackhat quickly dodged it by stepping backwards, far from Goldheart but not as far from the giant golden crystal

Goldheart quickly gathered up his energy to form a powerful power on his hand then sprinted towards the giant crystalBlackhat knew exactly what the hero was planning to do but he was still chill about it

"I won't do that if I were you"

"Your stupid talks won't stop me from finally ending you!"

"Whenever your young brother needed you a lot, you were never there... especially when he got sexually assaulted which caused him to traumatically hide his beautiful face forever~"

The words actually made Goldheart stop from his tracksHis fist was almost there to touch the crystal

"You really have no idea what he's been through, even if you ask him, he won't ever tell you because it already happened. He told me because he trusted me. So how does that feel to trust other people but his own brother doesn't?~"

Goldheart ran towards Blackhat then harshly pulled him by his collar"My brother has nothing to do with our situation right now, he's not even related to this so don't even come up of his name!" Goldheart was feeling guilty and sad about his brother right now, especially after what he just heardHe doesn't wanna believe Blackhat's words but he feel like it was the truth

"But your precious brother was actually on trouble right now~""I don't believe you! I trust him, he can handle it all now like what he always tell me! So now I'm just gonna end you!" Goldheart growled and about to destroy the crystal with finger that was ready to form a laser until... Blackhat snapped his fingers

"What the- where are we?? What just happened??"

Goldheart turned to see a couple of heroes then a fragile injured Flug on one of their grips, coughing while bleedingBlackhat was still maintaining his gaze on Goldheart while grinning as Goldheart quickly released Blackhat"F-Flug!" Goldheart worriedly screamed out his brother's name"Goldheart?? So this is where you've been?? And you haven't defeated that piece of shit?!" The hero named Vanity who was holding Flug questioned

"Wha.. Put my brother down now, this instant! I never told you to hurt him like that, or worse even kill him!" Goldheart yelled, ignoring the question"Our main goal is to end villainy for good! And killing them is the best way!" The other hero named Starluck argued"You guys are out of your minds!" Goldheart was now really pissed

The other two hero looked around and something caught their attention"Oh ho ho, look what do we have here~ a giant golden crystal with something inside it.."The two took them a while to realize what really was going on with this place

"Isn't that Blackhat?? Then... Wait... This is getting more interesting. Destroy that thing now Goldheart and we'll let your brother live" Vanity protestedFlug weakly opened his eyes to what really was going on then slowly looked aroundDid boss just teleported us here... Goldheart been here the whole time, so that's why I haven't seen him earlier.. And.. Why is there another Blackhat inside that giant... golden... crystal... Wait, that thing seems so familiar to me, what the heck Flug thought, tho he was still thankful that his bag is still on

"Promise me to let go of my brother after I destroy that crystal" Goldheart grumbledYes, destroying the crystal would kill the creature insideThey're into killing now?? Aren't that illegal for heroes?? Flug panickly thought"Of course" Vanity 'affirmed' and now grinning

"Are you really just gonna forget what we've just talked about earlier?" Blackhat askedGoldheart paused for whatever he was gonna doHe thought about it, their topic earlier were all about trust and he mostly lost his own brother's trust because of him. It was really his fault about Flug's sudden change.His own brother was now on trouble 'again' because of himselfIt's also weird how Blackhat doesn't really attack him physically yet... but instead, he was being attacked with words by logics, reasons, and facts

"What are you waiting for?? Finish him already!" Starluck yelled who was now running out of patience

"How do I know you're telling the truth?" Goldheart sternly asked"What?""I don't trust you with my brother being in your arms, give him to me first and I'll do it" "Psh, you're now out of the line Goldheart. We're not gonna waste anymore time, me and Starluck will finish what we've started instead" Vanity growled as he held Flug closer to him, holding him like a hostage while pointing a sharp dagger towards his neck"G-gah!" Flug yelped

"I'm your leader! What is wrong with you?!" Goldheart was now really in real panicBlackhat was just enjoying watching them the whole time"Not anymore! You whiny bitch!"Goldheart was really offended

"B-Blackhat... how d-do I... f-free you..?"Flug's sudden question made them looked at him in surprise
