The Confusion

(A/N: Heeyyy guuys! It has really been a long time! I thought I might visit my wattpad account a bit and there were LOADS of comments coming from you guys, saying that I should update. Well here's an update! :D I really should thank all of you because you guys still supported this GrayLu fanfic! As an immature writer, this is a BIG achievement for me. I hope you are still looking forward for more chapters of this fanfiction. I have been busy lately because I'm a graduating student, but I'm on vacation now so I'll write more chapters as I can before school starts. Again, thank you!)

*GRAY'S P.O.V*

Ever since I had that illusion, I can't stop thinking about it. I'm starting to have doubts on what's happening right now. I'm starting to have ridiculous questions inside my head like, "Am I even with the real Lucy? Is this girl I'm with, a lie?"

Oh Gray stop it. You're becoming more stupid. You should be happy because Lucy is with you now. Why am I even worrying about this uneasy feeling?

"Gray, are you sure you're okay?" Lucy asked out of nowhere. She's been asking that for how many times now! But I guess it's my fault for spacing out a lot.

"Gray, don't go with her.."

Wha-- My head..

"Gray..!" Lucy held my hand and touched my forehead, looking at me, "Your forehead is burning a little and you're looking pale.." She said worryingly.

"I-I'm fine.." I said with a shaky voice.

"Let's just go back." I added.

"I-If you say so."

I'm confused.. Who was that speaking to my head?!

"I said don't go with her!!"

Get out of my head!! Whoever you are, please stop! It's not amusing anymore!

I feel my body weakening.. Am I going to faint? What is happening.. to me..?

"Gray!!" Lucy's voice fades away as my eyes drift away, "Please somebody help!"

And that was all I could hear before I completely lose consciousness. Ever since Lucy came back, I've been having illusions and that voice has been bothering me. Strange things have been happening and I'm not liking it.

"Please wake up.. I need you..!"

What now..? Who is it this time? I've been hearing voices a lot lately.

"Gray, how could you..? How could you replace her with me?" a voice cried.

Lucy?? "What're you talking about?" This is slowly killing me. I don't know what the heck is happening. Why am I hearing strange voices? To hell with this, dammit!

"Pathetic. And you call yourself an ice mage! Ridiculous!"

This is irritating me. "What do you want?! Can't you see I'm enjoying what I have right now?! Stop bothering me and leave me alone! I had enough of your crap!" I shouted with complete anger. I couldn't take this anymore than I should!

"I'm waking you up from the reality you're in! That's what I'm doing. And I'll keep doing it until you realize what is going on in the real world! Open your eyes Gray!"

-- "Oy Gray!! Wake up!"

"Agh.. My head." I groaned in pain. Was that a nightmare? Who was that I'm talking to? I keep recognizing her as Lucy, but she doesn't talk like that. The person was.. "Where am I?" I asked, looking around. The guild?

"Jeez man! Get yourself together! You're making Lucy do all the work for you!" Natsu scratched his head, obviously pissed off.

"Natsu, you don't have to be ticked off! It wasn't Gray's fault that he fainted!" Lucy argued. She's not happy at all.

My head is spinning. I'm so confused.. I don't know if the voice in my head was playing with me. Who should I tell this to..?

At the exact moment, Mirajane called out to me, asking if I could have a minute with her while the blonde and the pinkhaired are arguing. Of course I agreed. It might be important.

"What is it?" I asked, this is unusual. Mira never asked me to have a private chat with her before.

She looked into my eyes seriously. What could possibly be the topic to get her this serious? Sure there were other matters, but this one's different from all the others. What is it this time? I'm getting nervous just thinking about what might she ask.

"You're confused as well, aren't you Gray?"

!!!

What.. is she talking about? I'm getting strange vibes about this.. Did she feel what I felt as well?
