Preparations had already begun, and the Theerapakyun mansion had never been this alive. Every corner buzzed with activity - voices overlapping, laughter echoing through the halls, and the faint scent of flowers lingering in the air.
The wedding would take place at Villa Ramphueng, the jewel of the Theerapakyun family - a timeless villa nestled deep within the forest of Mae Hong Son. Nani had first seen it as a child, during Cornal's remarriage, and the image had stayed with him ever since.
The sunlight spilling through tall windows, the vines climbing its white pillars, the sound of water trickling from the marble fountain in the garden - it was a place straight out of a fairytale. Back then, Nani had told Papa Book, "I'll get married here one day."
And now, that day was finally real.
The wedding date had been set - just one month away. The family would leave Bangkok a week before to begin the final preparations. But for now, the mansion itself had turned into a lively pre-wedding headquarters.
Pooh was buried under a pile of design sketches and seating plans, arguing with Sea over flower arrangements.
Meanwhile, William and Jimmy were trying (and failing) to organize the guest list, while Sky's father, Vegas, handled logistics with frightening efficiency. He had a full notebook filled with color-coded tabs, and no one dared to cross him.
"If we don't confirm the catering by tonight, I'll personally cook," Vegas warned.
"We'll confirm it!" Jimmy yelped immediately, typing faster.
In the middle of all this chaos sat Nani, wrapped in a cream robe on the living room couch, sipping tea with the air of a royal watching his court scramble.
Est's video call flickered on the TV - he was still in Australia but insisted on being part of every discussion.
"Don't forget to taste the cake before finalizing it," Est reminded him.
"I already did," Nani replied with a grin. "Three times."
"Of course you did," Est sighed.
Sky walked in just then, dressed casually, sleeves rolled up, carrying a small notebook. His eyes softened the moment they landed on Nani.
"You're supposed to rest," Sky said.
"I am resting," Nani replied, gesturing toward the chaos. "See? I'm delegating."
Sky chuckled, leaning down to press a kiss on his forehead before joining the conversation about the venue decorations. Despite the stress, everyone could feel it - this gentle joy that came from seeing Nani's dream unfold piece by piece.
That evening, the mansion transformed again - this time, into a miniature cinema. The dining table had been pushed aside, beanbags and pillows scattered across the floor, and the giant TV flickered with the opening credits of a late-night movie marathon.
"Who picked this one?" Pooh complained, already halfway into a blanket burrito.
"Sky," Nani said proudly, cuddled up beside him on the couch.
"Oh great, another tragic romance," William groaned.
"Shut up," Sky muttered, tossing popcorn at him. "It's cinema."
Jimmy was busy popping more popcorn while Sea argued over which drink went best with caramel flavor. Vegas, surprisingly, had joined in - sitting cross-legged on the floor with Pete leaning against him, both pretending to "supervise" but actually stealing snacks from everyone.
The lights dimmed. The opening music filled the room. And within fifteen minutes, chaos began.
Pooh started snoring softly. William kept making sarcastic comments about the lead actor's hair. Jimmy threw popcorn at him. Sea hit Jimmy with a pillow. Nani, laughing so hard his stomach hurt, clung to Sky's arm.
"Stop laughing or I'll bite you," Sky warned, though his lips twitched with a smile."Then bite me," Nani said immediately, grinning.
That earned him an entire pillow thrown straight from Pooh, who apparently wasn't asleep anymore.
"Keep your couple things PG-13, please!" Pooh said dramatically, earning laughter from the entire room.
Then suddenly - the doorbell rang.
It was nearly midnight. Everyone froze.
Sky frowned and stood up, glancing at Vegas, who also seemed confused.
Before anyone could react, the door burst open - and there stood Est, still in his sports jacket, gold medal glinting under the lights."Missed me?" he asked, smirking.
For a second, no one moved. Then Nani screamed.
"EST!!!"
The next thing Est knew, Nani was practically tackling him with a hug. Everyone burst into cheers, clapping, laughing, chaos spilling through the mansion once again.
"You said you'd be back next week!" Nani scolded."Flight came earlier - and I won," Est said proudly, holding up his medal.
Jimmy started a chant of "Champion! Champion!" until even Sea and Pooh joined in. Vegas patted his soon to be son in law's back, pride softening his usual composed expression.
Nani, still clinging to Est's arm, said with mock seriousness,"You could've told me! I would've arranged fireworks or something!"
"You would've thrown a full parade," Sky muttered, shaking his head fondly.
The mansion had finally grown quiet.Empty popcorn bowls sat forgotten on the coffee table. The movie had long ended, replaced by the faint hum of the night wind brushing against the glass windows.
Sky gently untangled himself from the mess of pillows and shifted closer to Nani, who was half-asleep, his head resting on Sky's shoulder.
"You should go to bed properly," Sky whispered, brushing a strand of hair off his lover's forehead.
"I'm already where I want to be," Nani murmured, eyes still closed, voice soft and sleepy.
Sky's heart clenched. He kissed Nani's temple, his thumb tracing lazy circles over Nani's wrist."You scared me, you know," Sky said quietly. "That night at the hospital... I-"
"Shh," Nani interrupted, placing his palm on Sky's cheek. "Don't bring that night back, please. We're okay now. You're here."
"I don't deserve how patient you are," Sky admitted, voice low.
"You do," Nani replied, a tiny smile appearing. "You just forget sometimes."
Sky chuckled softly and leaned down, brushing his lips over Nani's - slow, careful, the kind of kiss that carried both apology and promise.
Across the room, laughter echoed quietly again - this time from Est and William, curled up on another couch.
Est rested his head on William's lap, playing with the hem of his shirt."You sulked when I left," Est teased.
"I did not," William said, though his ears turned red immediately.
"Oh really? Papa Pete sent me photos of you staring at my trophies."
"He what?!" William's scandalized face made Est burst out laughing.
Before William could protest again, Est tugged him down for a kiss - quick, light, and full of affection.
"You're cute when you're jealous," Est whispered against his lips."I'm not jealous," William grumbled, smiling anyway.
On the far side of the room, Sea was tracing circles on Jimmy's palm as they sat near the window, the moonlight pooling around them.
"You didn't tell me your family's this loud," Sea said, amused.
"Loud? You haven't seen the weddings yet," Jimmy smirked. "Wait till Sky's and Nani's day - it'll be a festival."
"Hmm," Sea leaned in, pressing his forehead to Jimmy's. "Then promise me you'll dance with me at their wedding."
"Only if you promise not to steal the spotlight," Jimmy replied, smiling before their lips met in a soft kiss.
Pooh, meanwhile, had fallen asleep sitting upright, iPad slipping from his hand. Vegas quietly placed a blanket over him, exchanging a knowing smile with Pete from across the room.
The night felt warm - not from the lights, but from the bonds that filled it.Laughter fading into whispers.Whispers into soft breathing.
And somewhere between it all, Sky's voice - barely audible - as he kissed Nani's forehead one last time before sleep claimed them both.
"You're my home, Reigna."
