I couldn't believe what i was seeing.

"Surprised to see me" she smirked "I'm surprised to see you still alive , I paid great money and went to many lengths to ensure you would be dead by now." She looked over at neji's uncle with crossed arms.

"My nephew needed immediate medical attention. He would be dead if it wasn't for her." He informed

" not my problem . I paid for her death and you will give me that. You said you were a man of your word."  Her voice grew louder but the old man wasn't having it.

"Need i remind you to whom you are speaking to child.. your money is nothing but mere change to me. If i were you i would hold my tongue and watch how you speak to me their wise i'll order your death." He glared down at her with strong cold eyes. He was truly terrifying. A man with that much power.. I know sakuras bones must've shivered at that moment . "The girl will live as payment for saving my nephew. But considering the kinapping we can't just let her go either. I have not decided what to o with her."

Sakura's face showed extreme fear. I now know that she was behind the kidnapping, Itachi would never speak to her again.

"She cant live.. she's seen too much, knows to much." Sakura defended

"Then i suppose death is the only way." The old man sighed.. I switched my gaze from the two down to the floor. Sakura doesn't deserve to see me cry but i cant help it. I just heard my fate and there is nothing i can do about it.

Neji wrapped his arm around my waist and cleared his throat. "Actually uncle.. there's been something i wanted to tell you."

"What are you doing" i whispered quietly.

"Saving your life, shh"

His uncle stared curiously at us as neji held me tightly

"Y-n and i .. have feelings for one another and ... i want her hand, she could be a great asset here. "

"Marriage.. you've only known each other a few days."

" not true . We went to the same high school." He couldn't mean that. He doesn't look my age . He looks like a teen still. "Sakura could vouche for that seeing she used to tag along with hinata and i walking to school."

"Why do u want to marry her so suddenly" Sakura asked . " i dont trust this . She needs to die."

" we would take it slow but you guys are speaking of her death. Uncle.. please, i never had the courage to express my feelings during school but this time we spent here was more than enough for a spark to grow."

"I smell bullshit." Sakura blurted

Neji sits down on the bench, " i'm not worried about you approval." He shot her a glare that made her roll her eyes .

" I've never seen you two in affection. How do i know this is real ." His uncle asked.

" i wanted to speak to you in my own time but with her death being announced i cant accept it . We just started speaking on possibilities and Sakura is taking that away from me. I never asked fro anything uncle . But i ask for her life.''

' you two are to be wed then.''

'Your kidding !'' Sakura shouted

'Are you implying that my nephew is liar.''

' yes i am i paid for her death!'' She shouted.

' I'll return you your change. Y

is now my family.''

'You heard that baby'' neji smiled but nudged me softly to play along ''we're getting married!''

He pulls me in and whispers softly 'just play along''

His lips touch mine and we shared a short but convincing kiss . As he breaks the kiss he lifts me in his arms ' thank you uncle . We're going to go celebrate''

' where are we going'' i asked

' my room. Your not safe anywhere else, Sakura could pay anyone else to kill you. You stay by side until i figure out how to get you back home safely.

'Even though your uncle gave us his blessing''

'Until there is an actual wedding no one will be convinced , they'll all tak the opportunity to take you out if the price is right. Not to mention ten ten when she hears the news. Trust no one but me , stick with me at all times.''

'Wait were actually getting married'' i asked almost in a cry . Suddenly death doesn't seem too bad

' no'' he chuckled. 'No offense but your not my type. I'm getting you out of here before any wedding planning though.''

' you dont have to do this neji,''

' you didn't have to save my life either. Let me repay you'' he smiled
