Today was a pretty interesting first day.

Me Jace and Jane didn't get in trouble with the principal. He just gave us a long lecture about how we shouldn't say curse words in class and knowing Jace all he did was laugh and joke around the whole time.

Luckily, my perfect attendance record is still in tact because my mom called the math teacher and explained to her why I missed math class.

Since today was the first day of school I didn't get any homework so I'm kinda bored. Usually homework is my main priority.

So I guess I'll just start reading.

As soon as I open my book and start reading, I'm interrupted by the sound of the front door opening.

I run downstairs and see my dad.

I hug him. "Hey dad."

He smiles. "Hey Samantha how was your first day of school?"

I look down and play with my fingers "Well it was pretty interesting..."

"Tell me all about it." He smiles.

"Ya sure you wanna hear it?" I ask.

"Yep." He replies taking off his shoes.

"...It's a pretty long story." I say.

"Well, I did just get back from work, and I could really use a nap because I have that business trip tomorrow morning, but for you, I'd love to hear all about you day." He grins.

I smile. "Mom! Dads gonna need some coffee!"

He laughs. "Thanks."

Me and my dad go into the kitchen and sit at the counter. Soon after that my mom comes in and makes my dad coffee.

I tell him all about my day...

"Well that is pretty interesting." My dad laughs.

"Yep." I giggle.

"Looks like this year is really gonna be something." He says.

I laugh "looks like it..."

I pull out my phone and check the time it's 7:30pm already. I literally spent all afternoon telling my dad about school.

I usually go to sleep at 7:30 so I can wake up extra early. By extra early I mean 5am.

"I'm gonna go get some sleep." I say.

"But you haven't eaten dinner yet?" My mom says.

"I'm not hungry."

My dad frowns. "Ya sure?"

"Yeah, Goodnight mom, Goodnight dad." I say.

"Goodnight." My Mom and Dad say together.

I hug them both and then go up to my room. I change into my pajamas and lay down. I shut my eyes and before I know it I'm fast asleep.

•THE NEXT DAY•

As soon as my alarm goes off I get up and get in the shower. After I finish showering, I brush my teeth and change my clothes. Today I decide to wear a red sweater and some blue jean capri pants. I put my hair in a messy bun and I put on a black headband. Then, I put on my glasses, slip on my shoes, grab my phone and book bag then I run downstairs.

I look on the counter and there's a plat of bacon and eggs with a note on top.

Good morning Samantha, I went to work early today. I love you. Have a wonderful day at school! ♡-Mom

Because my mom is a doctor you never really know when she'll get called in to work. Since my dad already left for his business trip, looks like I'm walking to school today. I grab a piece of bacon and dash out the front door and begin walking to school.

Since I'm really good at multitasking I put my headphones in, listen to music and read my book while I'm walking all at once.

Just as I'm getting into my book, I bump into someone and drop my book.

hoops looks like I'm not as good at multitasking as i thought i was.

I bend down and pick it up. As soon as I stand up straight, I see Billy. Billy has been my crush since like forever.

"I'm really sorry." I say while blushing.

"It's cool." He says. I smile.

I quickly finish walking to school.

I can't believe I just talked to him for the first time evbybjuifk.

•AT SCHOOL•

I dash into the school and I see Maddie, she runs over to me and hugs me.

"Hey Samantha how are you today?" Maddie asks.

"Oh I'm doing pretty good how about you?" I say.

"I'M WONDERTASTICAMAZEBALLS!" she yells.

I laugh and cringe at the fact that she just created that word.

"That's nice." I say. She smiles. "Well I should really get to the third floor" I say.

She hugs me. "Aww I'm gonna miss you, bye Samantha."

"Bye Maddie." I say.

I wave goodbye and then I head to the 3rd floor. As soon as I get there, I go to my locker and head to my first period class. Math class.

As soon I get there, I walk in and take my seat. I see Jace and he waves at me. "Hey Sam." he says mockingly.

I roll my eyes "My name is not Sam."

I didn't even know Jace was in this class I only thought we had science together.

Jace annoys EVERYONE on purpose he's such a jerk.

After math class I go toArt and Jace is there. After Art I go to Social studies and Jace is there. After Social studies I go to Spanish class and guess what... Jace is there! Okay so he's my lab partner and we have all the same classes. Wow. Talk about cliche.

How come I didn't notice him yesterday in all my classes?

As soon as we get to the Science lab I sigh and take my seat next to Jace.

I want a new lab partner.

Mr. Griffin begins teaching.

"Ok so students put on your lab coat and goggles so we can begin our experiment." Mr. Griffin says.

An experiment on the second day of school? I like this teacher.

Me and Jace put on our goggles and lab coats.

"Why didn't you tell me you were in all my classes?"

"You never asked." Jace says bluntly.

Mr. Griffin keeps explaining things but I'm not listening.

Jace picks up this chemical and pours it into the glass cup.

"Why are you like this?" I ask.

"Like what?" Jace asks.

Mr. Griffin says something else and Jace pours another chemical into the glass cup.

"You're always annoying people and stuff like that." I say rolling my eyes.

"I do that stuff because I can."

Mr. Griffin talks again and Jace pours another chemical into the glass.

"Now by mixing those 3 chemicals your mixture of liquids should change from purple to green." Mr. Griffin says.

I look at our glass cup and the liquid is green.

"Wow you actually did it right. Nice job" I say shocked.

"See I'm not that bad of a person I listen and stuff like that." Jace chuckles.

"Whatever." I say.

•AFTER LUNCH•

After lunch there's only one class left. History class. I go to my locker and grab my supplies then head to History class. The history teacher is a woman. Her name is Ms. Wallis. I take my seat.

"I graded your tests, some were bad, some were good." Ms. Wallis says.

She starts passing out the tests. When I get mine back I get excited I got a 95%. It's not 100%, but it's still good.

I hear the bell ring. It's the end of the day. I have plenty of homework.

I go to my locker grab my book bag and shut my locker. Then I see Billy playing his guitar over by the water fountain. I get lost in his music and just start staring at him. Until I'm interrupted...

"Oooo looks like Sam has a crush on Billy." someone says.

I turn around and see Jace.

I start blushing. "Maybe I like Billy just a little bit."

"No you like him a lot you were drooling." Jace says while laughing.

I smile. "Yeah you're right. I really like Billy but he'll never like me back."

Jace grins. "Maybe he can..."

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Well I'm failing History class and if I don't bring my grade up, I'm off the football team and football is my life." Jace says.

"And?" I say confused.

"Well I hear you're really smart..." Jace says

"Get to the point already." I shrug.

"I was hoping you would tutor me and in return I can teach you how to be cool and stuff like that and you will definitely win over Billy." Jace crosses his arms and leans against my locker.

I tilt my head. "Jace I don't know about this..."

"Come on, please? it will definitely work." He begs while a huge smirk on his face.

"I'm not sure.."

Jace puts out his hand and lowers his voice. "Deal..or no deal...?"

Should I do this or not? I don't know. It sounds like a good plan, but the at the same time it sounds like a bad plan. You only live once.

I laugh then I shake his hand "Deal."
