♡EPILOGUE♡

Hyemin woke up to the chirps of the birds and yawned. She noticed she was still in Sunghoon's room. She checked the time and it was still early. 07:30 AM. She felt a vibration from her phone and checked the messages.

jaehwa : Good morning

jaehywa : Are you up?

me : wish i wasn't

jaehwa : That's the spirit

me : 🚪🚶‍♀️

jaehwa : Do you have a few minutes to spare?

me : if this is about the flight

me : don't worry i'm not planning to run away or something

me : although that does sound like a good idea

jaehwa : Funny

jaehwa : There's something else though. I'm already in front of your house

me : oh?

me : ok

Hyemin tried to get up but Sunghoon's arms were hugging her so tightly. She could feel his peaceful breathing over her neck, slightly tickly her in the process. She pecked him on the cheek before finally getting out.

She washed her face and looked at herself in the mirror. She looked less miserable. Although that would only be for a few hours until she had to leave. She was glad Sunghoon was there for her. She wished she could be there for him until forever but the universe held a grudge against her.

"What did you want so early in the morning?" she questioned her brother, still sour about having to leave.

"I talked to dad and," He kept his phone in his pocket, "convinced him to let you stay."

It took her a few seconds to process the words coming out of his mouth. But when she did, she excitedly asked, "This isn't a joke, right?"

"Nope. I convinced him I could manage another company and you can stay here," He grinned. Hyemin squealed and gave him a big hug, a giant smile making its way to her face.

"Thank you, really," She sniffed and wiped a stray tear.

"It's no problem. I just couldn't stand seeing you and Sunghoon so sad. The man was really heartbroken when I told him 2 nights ago," He sighed sadly. "And I know Dad can't keep you two away so..."

He took out one flight ticket from his pocket and ripped it in half, before ripping it even more and stepping on it. He shrugged, "I'm still going tonight though, got 3 companies to manage,"

"Was he mad?"

"Oh, very mad. But it's fine, I know how to deal with it,"

"I really owe you for this one," She nudged him with her elbow.

"Yeah, you do," He flicked her forehead. "Now go and tell him the amazing super great news."

"Right. Sunghoon and I will see you off at the airport!" she waved to her brother as she hurried toward Sunghoon's house.

"Sunghoonie! I have amazing super great news!" she whisper-yelled, jumping on the bed, abruptly waking the boy up. "I'm not going."

"What?"

"I'm not leaving anymore, my brother convinced my dad and now, I'm staying!"

"Really? That's—" He was cut off by a cough. Now that Hyemin heard his voice, he sounded off. She put her palm on his forehead and neck.

"Did you actually rinse yourself off last night?"

"I did... I think," He lied, "Nope, I didn't."

She then flicked his forehead, "You dummy."

"Your dummy though," he winked at her. 

"Now we can't celebrate." Hyemin jokingly pouted. 

"No, I'm fine really," Sunghoon tried assuring her. He tried standing up to demonstrate but his vision became dizzy and Hyemin caught him just in time.

"You have to rest," She forced him back in bed.

"But—"

"No buts," she cut him off. "I'll be back with medicine for you, bestie."

"No! You can't leave me! And you can't bestie-zone me!" He held her waist tightly and embraced her in a big hug. She giggled at his immature actions. She certainly adored this side of Sunghoon.

"I need to go get you medicine, Hoon," She tried pushing past his big arms but failed to do so. "Have you been working out?"

"Only for you, my love," he whispered in her ear. Hyemin felt her cheeks heat up at the pat name and she avoided his gaze. "Did I just make you blush?"

"No," she denied. She leaned in and gave his lips a quick peck, catching him totally off guard. She managed to slip past his arms and dashed away, ignoring Sunghoon's loud whinings.

They both lovingly stared at each other, as Sunghoon held her wrist to bring her closer to him. Hyemin's breathing hitched when their lips weren't even an inch away from each other. Her stomach was experiencing the usual fluttering sensation as her heart began to beat quickly.

His thumb brushes her lower lip, and she hears his breath hitch. He's staring into her eyes again, and Hyemin held his anxious, burning gaze for a moment or maybe it's forever... but eventually, her attention is drawn to his beautiful mouth.

Adrenaline rush. So much of it that she nearly forgot to breathe, eyes jumping from his lips to his eyes, her heart a ticking bomb.

His gaze then drifted down to her lips before returning to her eyes. The tension was undeniably high as they both waited for someone to make a move.

Hyemin then leaned in and connected their lips, leaving a wide-eyed Sunghoon frozen in his place.

The time stopped when her lips met his, but the flutter only intensified. She could only focus on how soft his lips felt against her mouth, and how addictively he invaded all her senses.

She had reached up and pulled him down to her. He was kissing her gently, carefully, but it wasn't gentleness she wanted, not now, not after all this time, and she knotted her fists in his shirt, pulling him harder against her. He groaned softly, low in his throat, and then his arms circled her.

He puts his hand on the back of her head, and he strokes her hair in a reassuring way.

Hyemin's heart pounded in her chest as her knees got weaker. There was a rare emotion in the way his fingers curled around hers.

They broke apart for a few seconds, breathing heavily and trying to catch their breaths. He pulled her in, claiming her mouth again, hungry and intense, until her knees gave in.

Sunghoon's kisses are like black holes pulling her in until all gravity is lost under his touch. Hyemin's lips were like a Summer rain, pouring over his as if they had the power to take away and give back life. After a few more moments, they both pulled apart.

"Didn't know you could kiss so good, love," Sunghoon teased. Hyemin whined at him to leave her alone, cheeks blushing a deep shade of red. He wrapped his arms around her waist and inhaled her scent. He could get used to this forever.

"Now that you aren't leaving, I'm officially your boyfriend." He ruffled her hair. 

"But you haven't even asked me yet," she teased. "That's how it works, y'know."

"Can I be your boyfriend, m'lady?" He kissed her hand.

"I'll get back to you in 3-5 business days," 

He pouted. A mischievous smile made its way to his lips and Hyemin quirked her eyebrows. He started attacking with tickles, eliciting laughs from her. She doubled over and tried running away from Sunghoon but he caught her. 

"Alright, alright! It's a yes!" she replied in between laughs. 

"What can I say, you're in love with me," He shrugged and ran his hands through his hair.

"Says you," she smirked. "Jungwon told me that you talk about me all the time, Hyemin this, Hyemin that. They even had to mute you in the group chat,"

Sunghoon's cheeks heated up. "N-no, that's not true!" 

Hyemin took out her phone and waved it in front of his face. She smiled teasingly, "I even have the screenshots,"

"You better not do anything with those!"

"Hmm, who knows," She smiled cheekily and began reading the messages out loud. Sunghoon closed his ears and yelled loudly so he didn't hear her.
