Day 84- Yuri saves the day~

13:07, 7 April 2017

The sun was bright and beautiful. I pushed aside the curtains and opened the window that let a cold wind inside. Though, the frostiness of the breeze tingled my body, I felt warm from inside.

Granting that last night was not-so-perfect, it was still the best night for me.

"Thank you, Scarlet." He had said and we—kissed! I jumped excitedly as my heart thumped louder than the concert halls. I was feeling better than any of the days combined.

I realized not long after that I was still in the dress Jellal had bought for me. I looked at myself in the mirror for quite a long time, mulling over how beautiful It really was and how it would have really been perfect if yesterday's dinner had gone well.

In the end, I headed to the washroom, took a shower, brushed my teeth, grabbed my phone and headed downstairs.

What surprised me was that mom was in the living room, reading a magazine. She noticed me and raised an eyebrow. "Aren't you going to work today?"

"Work...? Work?!!" I hopped an inch from the ground and looked at the wall clock. It was already eight and I was certain that a long line of angry customers would be waiting for me. "Damn! I-I gotta go!" I forgot about having breakfast and rushed out the door as fast as a lightning.

I was just so damn happy that I forgot I had work today! Ugh, how can I forget such an important thing?! I'm sure the boss will fire me today! I'm gonna be late!!!!! It's all my fault...If I hadn't fell ill yesterday...Wait, I can excuse myself that I was sick, right? But the boss is so strict he wouldn't acknowledge it...

Agh! What should I do now?! What do I tell him?!

--

Unexpectedly, nothing of the sort happened as I had expected it. There were no angry customers waiting in the line, instead, the store was open.

Confusedly, I went inside and saw Yuri-San at the counter. He was handing over the change to an old lady who gratefully thanked him for his hard work in helping her buy all the stuff. I took a sigh of relief before heading over to him in a clumsy manner. I felt a rush of guilt wash over me as Yuri-San noticed and smiled at me. "Ah, morning, Erza-San!" He cheerfully greeted in a high tone.

I deeply bowed. "I'm really sorry, Yuri-San! I slept in today..."

"Don't worry about it. I just happened to come by to the store early in the morning to check something so it all worked out, didn't it?"

I breathed again. "Yes...I promise it won't happen again...sorry for the trouble!"

"Don't apologize, Erza-San!" He laughed. "If you want, you can take the day off, I'm free today anyway, so I won't mind working here for a day."

"N-no! I can't let you do that, Yuri-San! You're the boss' son...it won't be right and besides, I have to make it up to you for you did today. If not for you, I would've been fired..."

Yes, if not for Yuri-San...

"Come on, Erza-San! Don't make that long face. It makes me sad," He chuckled. "You really don't have to make it up to me."

"But--"

"But if you do want to make it up to me, then--" He fidgeted something in his pocket and took out two broad slips of paper. "Why don't you spend a day with me?" He expectantly raised both his brows and handed out a paper to me.

Perplexed, I took the ticket and saw that it was for a concert by the famous band, The Blue Riders. It was held two days from now. "Concert...?" I looked up at him. I had heard of the band's name a few times from Lucy but I wasn't well-informed on their songs or the members, except that they consisted of four attractive looking teen figures."

"You do know The Blue Riders, right?"

I hesitantly shook my head and nervously chuckled.

"Ah, well, no worries. You might get to know them in this concert." He laughed.

"You really don't have to do this, Yuri-San--"

"No, I want to, Erza-San. I want to spend some time with you." He smiled.

"Eh?"

"That's why, please, don't say no."

I looked back at the ticket again. Maybe, going to a concert won't be bad. At least I will get to know what the fuss about The Blue Riders is and why Lucy is such a fan of them.

"Uh, okay then." I smiled as happily as I could. "Let's go."

"Really? Thank you so much, Erza-San!" He bowed. "Then, I will come and pick you up that day."

"You don't have to." I chuckled. Seriously, Yuri-San is really cute.

"I will, though. Also, Erza-San, don't call me Yuri-San from now on."

"Hm? Uh..."

"Just Yuri."

"Yu—ri..."

"Yes." He nodded. "Well, I gotta go now, I have soccer practice to attend." He moved away from the counter.

"Ah," I quickly bowed again, "Sorry for giving you the trouble, Yuri-Sa—Yuri..."

"Like I said, don't worry about it, Erza-San." He smiled, grabbed his bag from under the counter and left without saying another word.

"Concert, huh..." I lazily walked over to the counter and sat, staring down at the ticket I was holding. "The Blue Riders...Should I really go? But I already said I would so...I don't want to break Yuri's heart."

"Oi, what are you murmuring about?" The familiar voice suddenly startled me and I jerked my head up. Jellal was looking at me incredulously. He placed a bottle of milk and a carton of eggs on the counter.

"Jellal-Kun, good morning!" I adjusted my posture, placing the ticket down at the counter and immediately began checking his items.

"Hm. How are you feeling?" He asked.

"Good." I smiled broadly.

"Good to hear."

"It's 14." I said and placed the items in the bag. I noticed him looking at the ticket incuriously. I was about to tell him about the concert but before I could, he handed me the change, grabbed the bag and left quietly.

"Have a nice day, Jellal-Kun!" I shouted confoundedly before the doors closed behind me. I saw him raising his hand as a response and giggled at his gesture.

At 5, I got a text from Bob.
