Day 62- A forceful kiss

18:28, 9 January 2017

"I'm coming with you," He said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because I know that he's somewhere along the line, he's going to shatter your heart again. I have to be there to piece it back together."

"Gray, you can stop being so pessimistic all the time," I sighed, "What if he really says he loves me? I can't miss this chance now!"

"Yeah, what if, Erza. You yourself are not sure," He scoffed.

"You're being a real jerk, Gray."

"Sure, now I'm the jerk here."

"Yeah, you are!"

"I know I said I would give up my love for you, Erza, but now that I think about it. I shouldn't have. I should have been persistent until the end so that you would freaking know how much of a jerk Jellal really is to not even confess until now!"

"Well, everybody needs their time, right?" I hesitantly replied.

"Still supporting him? You are seriously unbelievable, Erza..." He slowly exhaled, "That's the reason why I keep falling for you...You're so determined."

"Gray..."

Right then, the bell rang.

"I will get it," He said and walked past me to the door.

Meanwhile, I picked up the plates from the tea table and placed them into the sink. Me and Gray made some cookies while were up for it since I craved some really badly, and to be honest, he's not bad. Actually, he is quite good at mixing the batter and stuff. Didn't know he had such talent.

"Erza, there's someone for you!" Gray yelled.

Someone for me...?

"Who is it?!" I yelled back.

"A guy named Zeref!"

Zeref?! What the hell is he doing here? And how does he even know my address?

I quickly rushed towards the door and halted as I saw Zeref immediately waving at me after my sudden appearance.

"You know this dude?" Gray asked.

For real...What in the world is he doing here?

"Hey, Erza. Sorry to just drop by without informing you first. Well, I would have if you had given me your number but meh, at least I knew where you lived," He laughed, "Can I come in?"

"No," Gray stopped him before he could step inside, "Not until Erza says so."

"And who might you be?" Zeref raised an eyebrow.

"I should ask you that."

"I'm her middle school friend."

"Middle school friend?" Gray looked at me, "Is that right, Erza?"

I nodded.

"So let me in, man," Zeref smirked.

"You're annoying," Gray clicked his tongue.

"So are you."

"You--"

"Gray, let him in."

"The lady has spoken," Zeref said teasingly.

Gray placed his hands in his pocket and walked towards me, "Damn that guy," He whispered to me and went back to the living room.

"He's short tempered, isn't he?" Zeref welcomed himself in and took off his shoes, "But really, I'm sorry for just showing up at your doorstep uninformed..."

"It's all right..." I said and pulled a pair of slippers from the shoe rack for him.

"Thank you," He bowed and wore them, promptly following me to the living room.

"You have a cute house," He commented.

"Thanks, but, why are you here?"

"What? Can't I come to meet the prettiest girl in this world?"

"He's even more flirty than me," Gray rolled his eyes.

"Well, you saw me, now you can go," I said and looked at the wall clock. It was already 3 and I had to meet Jellal in an hour.

"That's just mean," He pouted.

"Yeah, well, she said you can go now so shoo," Gray waved his hand back and forth.

"Can't he just keep his mouth shut for once?" Zeref annoyingly asked and the both of them glared at each other like a vampire and a wolf.

"I need to be somewhere right now, so can we meet some other day, Zeref?"

"Oh, well, if you want I can drop you like yesterday."

"Wait, Erza, you spent time with him yesterday?" Gray asked in a surprised tone.

"He seems jealous," Zeref chuckled.

"You have some mouth, don't you?" Gray slightly stepped forward towards him but before the situation could get messy, I stepped in, "Stop it the both of you," And they did.

"Now that you have met each other, why don't you take your time and get to know better while I'm away, hm? I don't want to run late cause of you guys," I picked up my handbag from the couch and rushed towards the door, "Erza, wait!" I heard Gray yell but before he could stop me I left the house.

--

Jelly- Meet me at the Ducky bridge at 4. I am waiting.

The ducks quacked near me. The water moved in little waves as the tiny wriggles of the duck's feet moved towards the many feeders.

I looked down from the bridge and saw a blurry reflection of myself. A deep orange autumn leaf slowly and gently fell on the surface of the lake. Fall had arrived.

"Scarlet," I heard a familiar voice call me. The voice that would always beat my heart faster and make me fall into a trap of reticent.

I turned around and he was in front of me. He wore a cap today out of the usual and he wasn't alone. She was there with him.

And I thought I could just hug my jelly...

"Jellal," I uttered and caught a glimpse of her. She looked at me back, but then turned over to him, "Who is she Jellal-Kun?"

Jellal-Kun? I am supposed to call Jellal, Jellal-Kun! Not her...

"She's Erza," He told her, "Erza, she's Yukino."

She smiled at me and bowed. Doesn't she remember me...? Nah, that's not possible, I'm sure she remembers me. She might just be acting.

"It's nice to meet you, Erza-San," She said.

"You too," I said and gazed at Jellal. His eyes were so handsome; I could stare at it for all my eternity.

"Jellal-Kun, why are we here, though?" Yukino wrapped her arms around Jellal's and cutely pouted.

"I have something to say to you, Yukino," He said.

"Eh?" She tilted her head.

It's really annoying how she is trying to act so cute in front of him...I should have brought my bloody knife—No, Erza, calm down...You can't let the beast in you emerge so easily...

"You wanted my answer, right?" He asked her.

"Your answer...?" She hesitantly nodded.

"Well," He gently pulled out her arm from his and stood beside me, "There can never be us, Yukino."

What?

"What...?" Yukino's mouth gaped open, "Jellal-Kun, you can't do that to me...I love you and you can't break my heart so easily!"

Jellal looked at me, "You wanted your answer as well, right Scarlet?" He asked and I couldn't say anything to him. The state at this moment became so confusing and dramatic.

However, he turned towards me, grabbed me by the shoulders and leaned in forward to kiss me. My eyes widened as I tried to stop him. I didn't mean to stop him but maybe, kissing me in front of so many on-lookers is really inappropriate at this time. Yet, my force wasn't enough to stop him and he was just an inch closer to my lips but right then, Yukino pulled him by the arm and forcefully kissed him.

"What the—" I froze in my place... The world froze in its place...
