Day 4- Confessions, Rejections and Confusions

I gotta do this..

I gotta see what they are up to...

I gotta know-

"MAMA THIS TEDDY BEAR IS NOT PLAYING WITH ME!" A 4 year old kid kicked my legs with her tiny feet.

"Excuse me, could you please look here? I need to take a photo." The mother requested and I had to oblige to her.

Cutely, I posed and patted the little kid, however she glared at me, kicked my feet again and walked away while dragging her mama towards the duck who was playing basketball...

Ugh this costume smells but this was the only way I could get in without the pass, besides this way is more easy to keep a watch on those two.

But where are they now?

I looked around with my heavy head and spotted them near the cotton candy shop.

Slowly and carefully leaving my post, I followed them.

Though on my way, there were a couple of annoying moments of flashes and poses, but it couldn't be helped. I was standing out too much as a bear.

P.S please remind me to shampoo because I think there's a gum stuck on the back of my head...

"So Jellal...what do you wanna ride?" Lucy asked.

"Anythings fine with me." He answered.

"How about that rollercoaster then?"

"Like I said, anythings fine with me Lucy."

Okay why do I feel like there's a hammer literally shattering my heart? My body feels so heavy just hearing Jellal call out Lucy's name.

Suddenly they stopped and I was about to bump into them when I quickly turned around and forcefully posed with a couple who were enjoying their little time together.

"Excuse me...could you please leave.." The man said. I looked back and saw that the both of them had entered the arena for the coaster, so I bowed to the couple and waited right outside for them to exit.

"Otou-San! I want to hug this bear!" A kid ran towards me and hugged me tightly. I patted his head and his dad clicked a quick photo.

Then a group of high school boys approached me, took a dozen selfies and handed me a basket of candies before saying, "You work so hard Teddy-chan! Here have these in case you feel hungry!" And who said the world is cruel?

- Ten minutes later -

"Wahhh...wasn't the rollercoaster cool?!" Lucy and Jellal came out while laughing and getting all cheery.

"It was, and man that dinosaur really got me good for a second." He chuckled.

No...He chuckled.Why is he chuckling?It's not good..He shouldn't be chuckling if he doesn't like Lucy.This is bad..This is really, totally, absolutely, extremely BAD!

"Where shall we go next?" She asked.

To hell- no..she is my best friend. I shouldn't be thinking like that..

"How about the carousel?" He suggested.

"Too childish."

"Then the MEGA SPINNER?"

"Too extreme...How about we go to the Ferris wheel?"

"We can and we will but the best time to ride the Ferris wheel is at night."

"At night?"

"Yea, there's a rumour in this park, that whoever rides the Ferris wheel before 9 pm, their love will blossom as to no season can make it wither."

"Re-really..?" Lucy blushed.

What the hell..there is no such rumour around here! He's totally making that up cause if there was, I would know it and I don't know it means there isn't a rumour like that.

Seriously, what is he think-oh gotta pose for the kid. "Say Cheese!"

I turned around, but once more they had disappeared from my sight.

Quickly, quickening my steps, I saw them buying milk-shakes, and then walking over to a water fountain.

Let me tell you this- All they did was drink and talk. Nothing else. Then why in the amusement Parks name did they even come here if they didn't want to go to any rides? Plus because of them, I had to wear those sweaty, greasy, smelly costume and pose for hundreds of people! I'm the one losing all the fun here- *receives chocolates from middle school girls*

I wonder what they were talking about. *dances cutely*And what was in their talks that made them laugh so much?*acts cute*I'm sure Jellal is still going with the flow..*hugs everyone cutely*He doesn't like Lucy..he doesn't even know her so..*waves everyone goodbye cutely* Why do I feel like he DOES like her after all?

- An hour before 9 Pm. 8 Pm. -

They were entering the Ferris wheel. Each cabin held only two people, and since my duty of being a teddy for the day was coming to an end, I quickly jumped out of my costume, disguised myself really well and entered the cabin right after theirs so that I could get a good look at what they would do. I know it's not right stalking my best friend and my crush but it's a matter of my future. A matter of love and a matter of friendship so I have no choice but to do it.

A guy entered my cabin as well, but not that I cared. He was busy on his phone and I was busy on my lookout.

The wheel slowly moved, like the London eye. It took its time to indulge itself with nature, to feel the view and sense the excitement of staring at the tall, lighted skyscrapers. The night life was pretty cool actually. And for a moment, I couldn't help but shift my gaze towards the cherry blossoms that blew their petals dramatically.

It was perfect. Not for me, but for them.The moment was just too perfect and I didn't like it one bit.They were smiling continually, Lucy was still blushing and I still kept on thinking the same question again and again, "Why couldn't it be me with him?"

"Are you stalking those two?" The guy in front of me looked up from his phone and asked.

"Huh? Uh-no-"

He took off his earphones and chuckled, "don't lie. You have been staring at them since the time I walked in."

"None of your business." I said.

"Sure, yea, but I can report to the police if I sense any suspicious people around." He smirked.

"I'm not stalking them."

"Then?"

"Don't talk to me. I gave you the answer already."

"Not wholly."

"I'm just here to enjoy the wheel."

"That's not one bit convincing."

"Could you put back your earphones please."

"That's rude lady."  He crossed his arms and legs.

"Not that I know you to not be rude."

"Well I'm Gray and now that you know me, stop being so rude, I hate it."

What's up with this guy?

"Tch.." I clicked my tongue and looked away.

Now because of him, I can't even look above to know what they are doing right now!

"You seem anxious." He spoke.

"You read body language?" I asked.

"Bingo. I'm an expert in that."

"Yea right.."

"Don't believe me? Well I could tell you what that girl above is feeling by just the movements of her body." He tilted his head proudly.

"And what is she feeling?" I asked. I don't know why I'm talking to him but since we are stuck in this cabin for another 8 minutes, why don't I just keep on with the conversation, I have nothing better to do anyways. Though I hate him for interfering my spying.

"She's in love baby." He winked.

"You don't say."

"And do you know what he's feeling?"

"Huh?"

"That's the guy you love right? You made it obvious."

I didn't talk.

"Well let me tell you this for free since I don't charge beautiful ladies like you. He's not one bit interested in her."

"What?" My eyes shot open.

"Oh now you feel happy? That's not right lady, you should give other girls their chances-"

"How can you say he's not interested In her?!" I asked eagerly.

"There are so many signs you could notice yourself."

"Will you tell me already!"

"Whoa there lady...first you were rude and now you're ever screaming."

"Sorry mister but if you want to talk to me, you better to do it the right way instead of stalling."

"Wow...you are one heck of a girl." He sighed and leaned in forward. "First of all, the way he is sitting is unusual for a guy to sit when he's with a girl, legs apart, body bent and hands in his pocket. Second, his expression gives it away that's he's least interested in her talks, and third, he looks tired which is not a good sign when you are with a girl. You should be lively and always smiling to make her feel the same."

"That doesn't make sense. What if he's personality is like that, how can you say something which is hidden behind his heart?"

"Girl girl girl." He scoffed, "people call me the body sensei for no reason."

"Yea, body sensei my foot." I crossed my arms. The cabin was now beneath us, so there was no way I could look at them right now.

"You know I don't mind giving you a few tips on how to-"

"Thank you but no."

"You didn't even let me complete my sent-"

"I'm done talking to you."

"You're really annoying you know that."

"Then don't talk to me."

"Seriously what's wrong with you."

"Everything wrong with me."

"Huh?"

"What."

"The hell-"

"Shh."

"What? Don't shush me."

"Tch."

"Don't tch me either!"

- 8 minutes later -

I got out of the cabin and quickly followed Lucy and Jellal. They were still talking, random stuff probably.

"Jellal thank you for spending today with me." Lucy said.

"No problem."

"Uh.." They stopped at the entrance of the park and I hid behind a huge tree. "I know it's too soon and all but Jellal, I think I love you..No, I really love you so will you go out with me?"

Damn Lucy...she is quicker than me in these love matters.But I wonder what Jellal's answer would be, would he accept her confession-

"I'm sorry but I can't go out with you." He said.

Eh.

"Eh?"

"I know you worked hard to impress me and I am impressed but I just didn't feel the love."

"Is..is there something you didn't like about me? If there is just say it I will change-"

"No Lucy. There is nothing wrong with you, it's just that, I'm not the type of guy to date a girl."

"Don't tell me-YOU DATE GUYS!" She yelled and at once the kids and their mothers turned their heads towards Jellal.

"DON'T SCREAM ANYTHING NONSENSE IN PUBLIC" He facepalmed.

Well, now that's one confusion cleared away.

"Sorry.." She bowed.

"Listen Lucy, I really appreciate your love towards me but don't get your hopes up too high with me."

"Is there someone you like?!"

"No. Like I said, I'm not the type to date."

"So will you marry me!?"

"Huh?"

HUH?! No Lucy what the hell are you saying??!!

"MARRY ME JELLAL! IF YOU CANT DATE THEN LIVE YOUR LIFE WITH ME FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!"

"Stop it Lucy."

"NO! I REALLY LOVE YOU AND I WANT YOU TO LOVE ME TOO!"

"But I don't."

"WHY NOT?"

"Because you're not my type alright!" He sighed. "So you better forget me." Jellal patted her head and promptly walked away, leaving Lucy behind.

Wait- why is he leaving? He can't just leave Lucy like that! He has to drop her home to make it a perfect date for her although it was not a date but to her it was!

"ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT JELLAL FERNANDES! I WILL FORGET ABOUT YOU AND I WONT EVEB REMEMBER YOU EVER! I KNOW YOU WILL REGRET IT BUT I DONT CARE NOW!" She screamed and angrily crossed her arms. "LIKE IM GONNA CRY FOR A GUY LIKE YOU!" And she walked away as well.

Uh...

Okay...

Should I go behind Jellal or Lucy? Probably behind Lucy since she is broken hearted but what if she finds out that I was following her the whole time?

- A few minutes later -

Well in the end I can't resist him huh..

Where is he going though? It's so dark and there are no street lights...I'm getting pretty scared and I wish I could just walk over to him and hold his hand tightly but I can't because then he would get furious that I was stalking him the whole day and then our love can get wounded and I don't want that after knowing that he isn't the type to date!

But hold on- where is he now? I can't see him..Am-am I lost?!

"JELLAL!" I yelled because I was in a place, I was totally unaware of. "JELLAL WHERE ARE YOU?!" My steps became slower and slower and my breathing got heavier.

I was a hundred percent sure that if I stay any longer here, there would come a guy with a chainsaw and shred me to pieces.

"JELL-

"Erza?" I heard his voice behind me and quickly turned around. There he was, with the phones flashlight. Staring right at me confusedly. "What are you doing he-"

But before I realised it, I had buried my face in his chest. "I WAS SO SCARED!"

"Huh..what are you doing here? Don't tell me you were following me."

"I Was.." I muttered.

"Don't just follow me anywhere dummy." He softly patted my back. And to be honest...I think following him was he best thing I ever did in my life..The way he is patting my back, it's so comforting..

"Where are we?" I asked looking up at him.

"You don't need to know, let's just get out of here."He held my wrist and dragged me from where we entered the town from.The grip was tight and I felt so protected. Like he was scared that something bad might have happened to me.

"Is this like a restricted area or something?" I asked.

"You could say that."

"Then why did you come here?"

"You don't need to know."

"But why not-?"

"Shut up and keep walking. Don't talk."

"Okay..."

- 17 minutes later -

"Go inside." He pushed me towards my door and turned around to leave.

"Wait-"

"I'm tired so better say your thank you's quick."

"TH-THANK YOU JELLAL!" I ran towards him and hugged him tightly. If not for him, I would have fainted in that strange town.

Annoyingly he pushed me back and nodded his head, "yea your welcome. Now go."

I nodded and I knew he was waiting for me until I went inside, so I quickly locked my door and ran upstairs to see if he was still there or not, but alas..he wasn't.

This feeling, I know I have felt it many times but today it turned out to be different..Sometimes I think he likes me back but other times I just feel that he has a really helpful nature that can be misunderstood as love.

I really can't figure what he's thinking at all..

But the way he patted me, held my wrist and didn't let go of me until the way home...Can't I assume he is starting to like me?

Can't I be a little happy presuming that I'm succeeding in winning his heart?
