Chapter 20: Mind entangled search

CHESHIRE'S POV:

                        It's been two days since Illumi was supposed to return here in the manor for the wedding. Kikyo has been acting hasty, confused and has been very moody since yesterday, in all honesty, it's been very hard to keep up with her ever so loud tantrums. We all know that it is utterly impossible for Illumi to have big problems during missions, that is, unless there is a really big interruption, such as, the Phantom troupe. But then, the targets that are assigned to him during this specific mission is not connected with the Phantom Troupe, If that's the case, we would've known because of the profile investigations before they assigned missions. Furthermore, I would in all probability, hear something from the very strange troupe that something is up. My connections are very intimate with them after all; not to brag, but my brother is a false member to them. I'm all ears to the troupe.

                 Brother left the manor earlier this morning to at least check up what's happening. I intended to go with him but he insists that I should just stay here and wait for my groom. He said that I should enjoy my wedding preparations; to my dismay, I can't do a thing but to obliged to my brothers suggestion, the Zoldyck family says the same thing anyways. 

               One might say that maybe we are being too tight on Illumi as if he is on leash.  The answer is no. Illumi is the kind of person to finish everything fast and unlikely to waste time. He is also the one to succumb to his parents wishes very easily and without complications. Also, the thought of him dying is quite improbable even with the dangers of the troupe. That is why, I do hope that my brother has a good news when he comes back.

ILUMI'S POV:

           I ransacked a mansion near where Hisoka ang Cheshire used to live when we were kids. The original house that we stayed were burned by someone, or at least that's what I heard from the residents. The burned house was  replaced by this mansion now. what I did was simply kill all of the nearby residents so no one is going to talk about it, the authorities are very far from here since this is technically in the middle of the forest. Zebro and I settled here for now. I explained to him what's happening and he took it quite steady. Though, I can still see the nervousness in his eyes; that is why I assured him that I will take all if the blame if we somehow get caught.           

          I will not stay here for too long, though. I am not taking any probable chances for my family to take me home unwillingly. For now, this mansion will be our base. Zebro will leave every morning; he will find something to do in the city and blend in with the people and come back every evening to the mansion. I, however, will go as well every morning to do my mission. 

        Now, what kind of mission am I talking about? It is my plan to search or at least find some information about Hisoka; hell, even gossips will do. Hisoka is easier to get a hold into because he is notorious around the nen users and/or fighters in every continent. Her sister, Cheshire, is different. Yes, she is known too but she hides herself most of the time from the spotlight. One might even be surprised if they knew that the jester has a sister. Famous only in a few people; these people I am talking about are very powerful and stands in our level.

         Today is the morning that I start my search. My first try is in a hunter shop. I used my hunter license to search them online. It is like a secret underground web designed for Hunters and notorious people that there are money placed in their heads. The close comparison for it is the web people calls "Dark Web". 

        Of course there is an information about them.  Aside from them being a hunters themselves, Hisoka too has a money placed on his head. They really think that they can catch him. Preposterous. The information, however, does not really help in my case. Most of it are the crimes that he did and accused of. It doesn't have his location, it doesn't even have much personal information on it. 

     Now is the best time that I need Milluki's research capabilities. It's utterly a pity that I can't force him to help me. He will just end up reporting to mother. Furthermore, he is probably given the command to do his best to find me. That is why I can't afford to lose time . I can't let them find me first before I find Hisoka.

    I got out of the shop feeling determined to find a something. 

HISOKA'S POV:

            Contacting him is nothing. I already expected him not to answer. If he doesn't want to be found, he will destroy his cellular phone which contains a tracker. Now, where could he possibly be? Phantom Troupe? No, it won't do him any good. I already visited the places of his last missions. It is a very clean mission for him, no witnesses and fast death for his targets. It means that he left this place with his missions finished. The fact that the Security guy in the gates of Kukuroo Mountain is missing is already suspicious. That old man won't leave the Zoldyck family. I can say that it is quite probable that Illumi got into the front gate and yet, for some reason he left.  

            He can't just leave like that, he can't left my sister hangin'
