Slow Dance in the Dark

14:15, 26 October 2025

The storm rages outside, a relentless symphony of thunder and rain crashing against the windows. Inside the dimly lit suite, the air feels heavy-thick with everything left unsaid.

Jackson stands by the small speaker, fingers hovering over the playlist. His breath catches, hesitating before he presses play. Soft music spills out-a slow, soulful ballad that wraps around the room like a whisper.

Kole is on the couch, eyes downcast, arms hugging his knees. The tension between them hums like electricity, raw and palpable.

Jackson takes a step forward, voice low, almost a murmur. "Dance with me."

Kole looks up, surprise flickering across his face. For a moment, he hesitates, then rises, letting the weight of the night pull him toward Jackson.

Their bodies meet-tentative at first-hands sliding over shoulders and hips, finding familiar contours. The world outside ceases to exist. No cameras, no expectations. Just the pulse of the music and the heat between them.

Jackson's hand cradles the back of Kole's neck, fingers threading through damp hair, sending shivers down Kole's spine. Kole leans into him, heart pounding, every nerve alive.

Their eyes lock-no need for words. So much tangled emotion in that gaze: regret, longing, fear, and something dangerously close to hope.

Jackson's lips hover near Kole's ear. "You're mine," he breathes, voice rough with want.

Kole's breath catches. He pulls back slightly, searching Jackson's face, reading the vulnerability beneath the bold claim.

"I'm scared," Kole admits, voice cracking. "Of what this means... of what we might lose."

Jackson tightens his hold, voice fierce. "Then don't think. Just feel."

Their bodies sway together, a slow dance in the dark-a silent promise to try, to fight for whatever this is between them.

And though their lips don't meet, the tension is so thick it's almost a kiss.

For the first time in a long time, neither of them wants to let go.
