Bounty Hunters

Roxanne's POV

"That's Felucia, dead ahead" Anakin announces as we exit hyperspace. He's piloting and Ahsoka in the copilot chair. While Obi-wan and I are sat behind them. This is my first official mission since my return to the order.

"But where's the medical station? I don't see anything on my scanners" Ahskoa states. Suddenly he screen beeps. "Wait, there's something" she tells us. "Vulture droids" she states and Anakin tells us to hang on. As five vulture droids head our way. He begins evasive maneuvers as they fire at us.

"I guess we know what happened to the medical station" Obi-wan states. Yes I still call him that. Only because it's safer and we haven't really been able to talk about our situation. Suddenly we're hit.

"That's never good!" I shout as we hang on.

"They took out the plasma conduit!" Ahsoka tells us. We enter the atmosphere.

"Mask" Obi-wan tells me and I grab mine putting it on.

"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Anakin asks him.

"Almost certainly not" Obi-wan tells him and they all put on their masks.

"Looks like we're doing this the hard way. Starting ejection sequence" Anakin tells us.

"How come every time you fly, we crash?" Ahsoka asks me.

"That's my question" I tell her.

"It's not my fault. It's the ship" Anakin tells us.

"You always blame the ship" I state.

"Ready to eject" Ahsoka tells him.

"Wait" Anakin tells her as h hand hovers over the eject button. "Now" he tells her and she pulls the lever. We eject from the ship, that crushes into a mountain. Along the vulture droids. Once my protective ball opens I step out removing my mask. I hear Anakin chuckling. As the res of us grunt and cough. "You all right there, Master?" Anakin asks Obi-wan.

"I'm fine Anakin" Obi-wan assures him. "Are you alright Roxanne?" he asks me concerned.

"I'm fine" I assure him. "You ok Ahsoka?" I ask. She nods her head.

"Where on Felucia do you think we are?" she asks us.

"Don't know, never been here before" I tell her. "Do you know Obi-wan?" I ask curious.

"I'm not sure" he answers. We hear animals growling and I grip my saber.

"I don't like the sound of that" Ahsoka and I say together.

"And I don't like the look of that" Anakin says pointing in front of us. We look up to see two jungle rancors. We stay perfectly still. "We don't want to scare them" he tells us.

"We can't just wander around aimlessly. We need a plan" Obi-wan states.

"You always taught me to go on instinct, and my instincts tell me to go that way" Anakin says pointing to the right.

"Well, that doesn't seem right" Obi-wan tells him while stroking his beard. "I think we should go this way" he adds pointing in the opposite direction. I share a look with Ahsoka and we shake our heads. As our masters start to bicker.

"If you two are done acting like children" I tell them.

"I think there's some smoke on the horizon" Ahsoka states pointing to the smoke.

"Which means people, and a way off this planet" we say together. We head off towards the smoke. Our masters follow us. We soon reach a village.

"Look, a village" Ahsoka says stating the obvious.

"Maybe they have a ship we can borrow" Anakin states. We enter the village.

"Are those healing herbs?" I ask.

"Nysillim, I believe" Obi-wan tells me. "One of the most valuable crops in the galaxy" he states. We soon reach the center of the small village.

"This place looks deserted" Ahsoka states.

"I don't believe it is. The crops are ready to be harvested. Tools are lying about. No, something's amiss" Obi-wan explains.

"Well, there's one thing I learned where I grew up. If you want to know what a farmer's up to, look in their barn" Anakin tells us. We head over to the barn, to see an unusual ship.

"This is an odd ship for farmers. Perhaps someone's here to pick up the sillim" Obi-wan suggests.

"I still don't get it. Where is everyone" Ahsoka asks. We split into pairs to explore the village. Ahsoka with Anakin and me with Obi-wan. We soon see Anakin and Ahsoka in trouble.

"We don't count you knee high" a bounty hunter tells Ahsoka.

"Do you count us?" I ask. As Obi-wan and I enter the house light sabers lit. Anakin and Ahsoka lit their own sabers. As we all prepare to fight.

"Stop! Don't harm them!" a guy shouts. I turn to see a short man. "Can't you see these are Jedi?" he asks the bounty hunters. "We're saved" he states.

"Saved?" Ahsoka and I ask him.

"Need I remind you, Casiss, you already made a deal with us?" the head hunter asks the man.

"But with the Jedis' help" Casiss starts to say.

"Excuse me, but help you with what?" Ahsoka asks.

"Pirates" he answers.

"Great, more pirates" I grumble. We all lower our weapons. The farmers come out of hiding and Casiss explains the situation to us. And we learn the bounty hunters names. We then went outside to discuss our options.

"Master, these farmers are in trouble" Ahsoka states.

"Why can't we help them?" I ask Obi-wan.

"Believe me Roxanne, Ahsoka, I would like nothing more. However, we need to report that the medical station has been destroyed. If we stay too long, the Separatists will show up looking for us here" he explains.

"But..." we go to protest and he raises his hand.

"Better they get robbed by pirates than attract the interest of General Grievous and his horde" he tells us. Suddenly someone shouts that the pirates are back. The bounty hunters and Casiss join us outside as the pirates appear on speeders.

"That's far enough. I speak for the people of this village" Sugi tells the pirates. She and one of them speak briefly. "There is nothing here that's yours. Unless you're here to buy it" she tells him. A familiar laugh sounds from the pirates.

"Oh no, not him" I mutter.

"Kenobi, Skywalker, Roxanne!" Hondo says in greeting. "I can't believe you came all this way to see me" he says.

"Hondo" we say and Obi-wan stands in front of me.

"You know each other?" Sugi asks.

"Of course we do. Tell them how far back we go, Kenobi" Hondo says with a chortle.

"Oh you mean when you held us for ransom, then tried to electrocute me to death?" I demand.

"And here I thought we were friends" he says. I go to snap at him and Obi-wan silences me with a look. Before looking back at Hondo.

"If you're truly interested in friendship, Hondo, might I suggest you stop threatening these farmers" Obi-wan tells him.

"Threatening them? Oh, please tell me you have not been listening to this bounty-hunting scum" Hondo says.

"Scum? We're just here to help them protect what's theirs" Sugi states.

"Oh, come, come, my dear. How much are they paying you? Bububub! Does not matter. Whatever it is, I will double it. And all you have to do to earn it is, uh, step aside" Hondo tells her.

"We don't break deals" she sneers at him.

"What is your stake, anyway, Kenobi?" Hondo asks.

"All we want is a ride to the nearest Republic outpost. And I'm willing to pay you handsomely for it. Twice what you could make selling this crop" Obi-wan tells him. Hondo refuses the deal and left with his pirates.

We decided to help the farmers after all. By teaching them how to fight. Obi-wan and Anakin taught them to wield p0les like staffs. While Ahsoka and I worked on their aim with sling shots. When we spotted a pirate scout, Embo killed him. Now it's time to fight.

We all got into our positions and turned on the fence. I'm with Ahsoka. Pirates soon arrive and we activate our sabers. We lead them to an ambush and took out several pirates on speeders by knocking down two trees. Seripas took out another, but lost his armored suit.

The fight ended when Hondo declared "This effort is no longer profitable!". The pirates left the planet and villagers in peace. We gathered in front of the barn.

"There are crops to harvest, fields to till, huts to rebuild. Now, let's get to work" Casiss tells his people. They disperse to get to work and he turns to us. "How can I ever thank you for saving our village?" he asks us.

"We didn't save your village, Casiss. Your people did" Anakin tells him.

"For the first time in my memory, my people don't have to be afraid. We will never forget you" Casiss tells us before leaving us with Sugi.

"I seem to find myself light on company. Still need that ride back to the Republic outpost?" she asks us.

"If it wouldn't be any inconvenience" Obi-wan tells her.

"On the contrary, it would be my pleasure" she tells him. We all board her ship and she takes us to the nearest Republic outpost. Where we reported the destruction of the medical station and about our time on Felucia.

I was in my room meditating when Qui-gon contacted me. "So anything exciting happen today?" he asks me.

"Saw Hondo and his pirates, kicked their butts" I tell him.

"They deserved it" he tells me. "Anyway, I gotta go. Take care of yourself Roxanne" he tells me.

"I will, talk to you later" I tell him. We end our conversation and I decide to call it a night. I removed my boots, belt and cloak. Before laying on my bed and fall in a dreamless sleep.
