CHAPTER FOURTEEN

I went to my car and was about to shout Thirdy's name when I saw my wipers up again but I stop myself.I inhaled and just went inside. It's been days na iniiwasan ko siya after he said he love me pa. I mean I feel the same but the fact na umiinom kami that time just don't make sense at all. I know he's just drunk and maybe that time he's thinking about Julia. Nasabi na din ni Dani na he hasn't made his way pa to propose to Julia.

It was relieving to know na hindi pa pala sila but at the same time ang hirap kasi hindi ko alam kung ano ba talaga ang gusto niya. If he meant what he said or not,kasi hindi na niya ako napuntahan after that night,I mean iniiwasan ko pala siya.

I was about to turn on my engine but I saw him running towards my car,so I didn't kasi baka malaman niyang nandito ako,iniiwasan ko nga diba? I pretend na walang tao sa loob. Pinagpapawisan na ako pero I can't move kasi,I just let him stand beside. Inis ko siyang pinanood na itaas na naman ang wipers ko. He was laughing as if enjoying what he's doing. Nakakainis!

Minutes passed pero hindi pa din siya umaalis,he was looking inside the campus,then look around as if waiting for someone. I saw him picked his phone from his pocket and dial. Halos tumalon ako sa gulat ng magring ang phone ko. Medyo nagmove ng konti ang kotse and when I look back at him he's walking towards the door of my car. I stiff when he knock on my window. Hindi ako gumalaw,but he keep on looking and knocking.

I prayed na sana umalis na siya so I can go home  pero ayaw talaga. My phone beeped,and when I. checked it.

Thirdy: I know ur there,open the door.

Hindi ko siya pinansin.

Thirdy: Bea open up!

Thirdy: Bea!

Thirdy: Bei

Thirdy : wtf Bea masosuffocate ka jan,buksan mo na!

Inis ko siyang nireplayan

Bea: Just put my wipers down and go away I wanna go home.

Thirdy: I wanna talk

Bea: I don't want to Thirdy,there's nothing to talk about just go away or else I'll stay and let myself  die.

When he saw the message he went in front of my car and put the wipers down before stepping aside,I saw that because I was looking at him. I take it as a sign umalis na. Hindi ko mapigilan ang sariling tingnan siya sa side mirror,medyo naguilty ako when I saw kung paano niya punasan ang pisngi niya.. punasan? Is he crying? Pigil hininga kong tinigil ang kotse ko. I can't make myself drive even if that's what my brain wants ko happen. I shouldn't be thinking about his confession. I should be moving on,I should stop myself from coming back again cause it will just cause something we wouldn't want. I should be staying away from him cause I can only cause him trouble.

But my hands  says otherwise. I just found myself driving back to where I parked earlier,where Thirdy's still standing. When I stopped in front of him,I just stare at him. Nakita kong dahan-dahan niyang tinaas ang ulo niya and I saw his face full of tears but eyes that reflects hope. I gulped and went out of my car. Wala akong sinayang na oras,I run towards him and hug him tight.

And that moment,I feel at home. For years I've been stopping myself from coming back,I was in denial,guess what Maddie's right after all,I still love this man,I never stop loving him. May takot pa rin but I am still hoping na magagawa ko pang ihanda ang sarili ko. Sa ngayon ang iisipin ko ay ito,kami,kami ngayon? Hindi ako sigurado pero Isa lang ang alam ko,mahal ko siya at hindi ko na maitatago pa.

I feel him tighten the hug. He place his face on my neck and I can feel some of his tears dropping on my neck. Before I knew it,I brush his hair with my fingers.

We stayed like for seconds before siya umalis sa yakap. Pinunasan niya ang luha at tinitigan ako as if memorizing my features.

"Grabe napuling ako sa dumi ng tambutso ng kotse mo". Biro niya before cupping my face.

I rolled my eyes at him and I smile as I cherish his touch that I miss the most.

We stayed like that for another second before I look away cause it's getting awkward. I heard him clear his throat.

"Uhm,Bea..". I look at him and waited for whatever he's going to say.

"Beaa..".

"Bei" .

"What is it Thirdy?". I asked in a cold manner,I'm getting impatient na kanina pa tawag ng tawag.

"Ugh! Wag mo nga akong e pressure,kinahabahan na nga ako eh,Beaaa wag mo na akong layuan please and shh wag mo ng e deny halata ka pa sa obvious" . Wala akong maisagot sa kaniya, because it's true I'm avoiding him pero obvious pala?

"And about the night 4 days ago... Yes I mean it Bea". I gulped,what?

"The.. " I still love you"? Part? " I whisper kasi nagsisidatingan na ang mga tao sa paligid,and they're looking at us. Nakatingin pa rin ako sa paligid dahil baka may marinig sila samin, whatever we talk about today,I wanna stay it with us muna.

"Yes Bea,I still love you!". I froze when he said that out loud na lahat ng tao napatingin samin,may ibang nakangiti ang iba naman halatang kinukuhanan kami ng picture.

Wtf! Is wrong with this man..but wait

"What?". Hindi makapaniwala kong tanong.

"You know what Bea,I don't know kung bingi ka or gusto mo lang laging inuulit ko na mahal pa rin kita,I still love you,I love you". I repeat,I show how she froze again as if processing what I said.

"I meant what I said Bea". I continue

We went to a caffe near their village kasi I wanted to talk and knowing it's already afternoon alam kong hahanapin na siya ni Davin kaya dito nalang para malapit.

"Okay,but Thirdy.. about".

"Julia". I said,I also want to clarify this to her now.

"Bea,Julia and I weren't together. Yeah maybe MU,mutual understanding,we hang out sometimes and I won't lie alam kong I loved her. I planned to propose to her as my girlfriend but when you came back.. I don't know what happened but I just found myself being pulled back to you". I confess,medyo nakangiwi siya.

"Look I'm not asking you to believe me instantly but please give me a chance,assuming na pero Bea I feel like you love me too". Diretso kong sabi

Medyo kinabahan ako ng magbago ang expression niya.

"May anak na ako". Straight forward niyang sabi.

"I'm more than willing to be his daddy Bea". I said witb full of determination,totoo yun willing akong maging daddy ni Davin,hindi lang willing gustong-gusto ko.

"How can you love a person when there's a possibility that SHE cheated on you?" . Tanong niya ulit. The 'cheating' part hurts but I have forgiven her.

"I love her with everything that she is. Including the past na nakalimutan ko na ". Seryoso kong sagot.

She look away and I saw the unfamiliar emotion in her eyes. With a teary eyes she stood up and came to me .

"God,I love you too". She cry as she hugged me.

Parang gusto ko ding umiyak ulit because finally nasabi niya na din, I've been waiting for her to say that kanina pa,sa totoo lang matagal na kasi sabi ko nga I can feel that she love me too. Pero panay kasi ang iwas niya sakin,but now finally she's in my arms again.

After that moment syempre inasar ko muna siya before we finish eating. We got chicken nuggets for Davin,though sabi ni Bea di daw yun healthy,sus minsan lang naman. At hinatid ko siya pauwi sa Bahay mismo nila.

"Gusto kong bumaba babe". I said when she's removing her seatbelt.

"Tsk edi bumaba ka paa mo ba ako?". She answer back and nauna pang bumaba .

Ang sweet mo talaga BDL !

I follow her. I was about to hold her hand when she place the paperbag of nuggets on my palm kaya hindi ko na Siya mahawakan. It's okay though I know she's still not use to it. Naninibago at nahihiya pa siya sakin,sa gwapo kong to. Tsssk!

"Hi buddy". Tawag ko kay Davin when I saw him trying to climb on the sofa.

Nanlaki ang singkit niyang mga mata when he look at us.He smile and run towards me. Bea and I both spread our arms but Davin run to me. Tumawa ako at agad siyang binuhat.

"Kaya wag mong ginagamit ang excuse na may anak ka na kasi boto sakin ang batang to". Bulong ko kay Bea.

Kinurot niya ako sa tagiliran.

"Aray naman!". Inis kong reklamo

"Dy hai Davin miss u". Cute na sabi ni Davin at niyakap ako,napangiti ako at niyakap din siya and I swear nawala ang pagod ko maghapon.

"How about mommy?". Ungot ni Bea sa gilid.

Tumingin sakin si Davin before looking at his mother and laugh.

"Of course mommy,Davin miss you,I wab you".

"I love you". Sinabayan ko ang last na sinabi ni Davin.

I saw Bea blush and look away.

Kilig yan?

"Hmm anyway we bought something for you buddy chadaa". I showed him the paperbag.

"Paperbag?". Confuse niyang tanong.

Bea and I both laugh.

My laugh dead down when Bea placed her chin on my shoulder while looking at Davin, she's smiling and admiring his son's cuteness.

"Ikaw talaga,this paper bag contains chicken nuggets,you want to try?". Tanong niya kay Davin.

Ewan ko ba pero sa position namin ngayon parang ayokong gumalaw dahil baka marealize niya. My heart skips a beat when she placed her hand at my back and caress it,she move her hand slowly while she is still looking at Davin who is now checking the paper bag. Kilig ba to or ano pero parang gusto kong mangisay nalang dito. Bea is unconsciously killing me with her moves.

Nilingon niya ako at dahil nasa balikat ko ang baba niya ang lapit ng mukha namin. I gulped but Bea just stare at me confusedly.

"Huy namumutla ka na jan". Saway niya.

"Ahh wala,tara na baka  gustong kainin ni Davin yung nuggets?". Nasagot ko nalang.

" Hmm okay let's go". She said while her hands is still on my back and chin on my shoulder. Pigil hininga akong naglakad. Ewan ko ba sa babaeng to di ba niya ramdam na sa mga moves niya ako mapapatay?

Buti nalang kailan namin umupo kaya binitawan niya ako. I sit on the chair and Davin on my lap. Bea prepared the nuggets on the kitchen kaya naiwan kami ni Davin sa dinning area.

"Davin I miss you buddy". I told him,he look back at me and smile before hugging me.

"Miss you more". Cute niyang sagot kaya napangiti ako.

"Grabe buddy alam mo bang the best day of my life na ata to,grabe magpakilig ang mommy mo". I told him kahit di na niya ako pinapansin. Busy siya sa laruan niya.

I just shook my head while smiling and kiss the top of his head,sana ako nalang ang daddy mo,ang gago ng tatay mo buti nalang di na niya kilala.

"Here na". Bea came back with nuggets now set on the plate.

"Here na buddy,try this". Sinubuan ko ng isa si Davin,he smiled as he chew.

"Is it yummy baby?". Tanong ni Bea,Davin nod and eat more.

"See he likes it". I told her

"Nah,ngayon lang yan but not again Thirdy". She answer.

"Yes missma'am". I answer baka magalit na naman.

"Missma'am? Pauso ka ha". Natatawa niyang sabi.

Nag-isip ako ng pang-aasar.

"Kung gusto mo gawin nating misisma'am". Bulong ko sa kaniya.

Kinurot niya ako

"Aray! Hoy ang sakit nun ha". Reklamo ko

"Oh nag-aaway na naman kayo?". Napatingin kami sa stair case ng marinig namin si Tito Elmer .

"Si Bea po kasi to nangungurot". Sumbong ko

Umiling si Tito.

"Mom-my that's bad". Suway ni Davin.

Napatingin kami sa kaniya at natawa

"Buti pa ang bata alam ang tama at hindi,hay naku sige na at kakain na din kami, where's your mom Bea?". Tanong ni Tito at luminga-linga para hanapin si Tita Det.

"At your room maybe,maybe she's trying her jewelries again". Natatawang sagot ni Bea at pinunasan ang labi ni Davin.

"Hay naku,baka nga let her be kain na tayo". And we eat, again.

After that sinamahan ko si Bea na patulugin si Davin. I saw Bea looking at me as if wanted to say something.

When she put Davin down,I grab her by the waist.

"Wooh Thirdy ano ba!". Inis niyang hampas sakin.

I hug her from behind. Isiniksik ko ang mukha ko sa leeg niya,she tilted her head to give me space.

"Uwi ka na". She said while we are at the same position.

I sniff her neck and hair. Ang bango niya talaga,I miss Bea so much, to be this close to her, to hold her like this.

"When is your next game?". Iniangat ko ang ulo ko at tinanong siya.

"Hmm next day, championship na yun". She said and I saw her smile.

I make her turn around facing me.

"Wow akalain mo yun nakaabot ka ng championship". I said and she just roll her eyes.

"Is that your way of saying na your SO proud of me?". Her lips form into a smirk

"No,this way". I said before pressing my lips on hers.
