Annabeth:You awake?

Percy:Oh, yeah. Never fall asleep until it's 11/12, or I just get no sleep!

Percy:Everything okay? I expected you to be asleep at 9pm

Annabeth:tbh not really

Annabeth:I know we have school tomorrow and it's late but I just need someone to distract me

Percy:I'm happy to distract you

Percy:What do you want to do? How can I help??

Annabeth:I don't know, I just need to talk to someone

Percy:About what happened or something else?

Annabeth:Something else. I don't have the energy to get angry about what happened anymore. I'm tired of being angry.

Percy:Alright. Let's get to know each other then. What's you're favourite colour?

Annabeth:Oh, uhm... probably orange or some sort of beige colour.

Percy:Huh, okay! Well, for me, it's blue. My mom and I are obsessed with the colour blue, she loves to make me blue cookies, blue pancakes, literally any food she can make blue, she will make it for me.

Percy:It brings us both joy. I mean, blue foods and drinks seem more appetising, don't they?

Annabeth:Appetising? Big word for you there, Perseus?

Percy:What the heck Annie?? :(

Annabeth:Haha, sorry. That sounds nice. Blue is a really nice colour.

Annabeth:My cousin hates blue tho, haha

Percy:Where do they live and do you think I could beat them in a fight?

Annabeth:Pfft, you're ridiculous.

Percy:Ridiculously handsome and funny? And charming??

Annabeth:Ridiculously dorky

Percy:...you're ridiculously mean!! :((

Percy:Jk, you're ridiculously pretty :)Read

Annabeth is typing...

Annabeth:You're obsessed with calling me pretty

Annabeth:You don't have to keep saying it, I'm not that pretty.

Percy:Ah, but that's exactly why I need to keep calling you pretty, because then your ego is low and we don't want that, do we Annie?

Annabeth:Thank you, Percy <3

Percy stared at the heart Annabeth sent on her message. Percy felt his heart skip a beat and he smiled as he began to type out a message back to Annabeth.

Annabeth is typing...

Percy let out a sigh and he smiled at his phone.

Well, Percy was happy until he heard something crash in the living room. Percy practically bolted out of his bed as he heard his mother yelp and Stinky Gabe shout something in a very hostile tone towards her.

Annabeth:Ah, sorry, let me guess, you fell asleep?

Annabeth:Well, goodnight Percy. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow :)

Annabeth let out a soft sigh as she set her phone down next to her and she got comfortable in her bed.

She didn't want to think about what happened when her call with Percy got cut short earlier today. She just wanted to forget about it and sleep.

Tomorrow was going to be a brand new day, a fresh start.
