Chapter 12: Midnight Runs

***Yang's POV***

Shaylynn wouldn't stop crying. I forgot that having the baby meant having the baby. Blake and I have already both gotten up multiple times to try and figure out what was wrong, but we can't figure it out. Blake is stressing to the point of no return and I'm trying to keep her calm, because I can actually keep calm during these situations. Ruby has given me some experience with that.

Blake was starting to lose her head a little bit by week three. Shaylynn was up crying constantly and Blake couldn't handle it. She was currently in the living room, where she couldn't hear the baby monitor and could sleep. I had moved Shay's stuff into our room so I wouldn't have to go far to take care of her in the midst of night.

I had got her to calm down by humming, well actually singing, to her whilst rocking her in the chair. She liked it when I hummed sweet, slow things. When I would sing it would just be little children's tunes but she loved it. I had gotten to the point where I knew when to wake up and she wouldn't cry.

I finally made the midnight runs to her crib stop.

"Blake, sweetheart?" I shook her slightly. After two weeks since Blake left the room, Shaylynn had stopped her constant crying. "Please come to bed. Shay is back in her room, come on kitten." She purred as I picked her up and carried her upstairs. I put her on the bed and covered her up, before cuddling next to her.

Shaylynn didn't wake up until three in the morning everyday to be fed after that. Blake was happier and I could sleep just a little more. Weiss and Ruby didn't mind all of the crying. Ruby didn't know this but Weiss was gonna be expecting a baby within the year and I'm the only one that knows.

Weiss and Ruby have wanted a baby since we had Shay and Weiss and I went to get a donor for her. We're gonna tell Ruby once we knew for sure. Weiss was all over Shay recently and offered to take her out today with her and Ruby.

Blake and I had the day to ourselves.
