Weeks went by in the blink of an eye after you joined your new job. As soon as you sent off the children to school you and Jungkook left for work within an hour. Sometimes he left first sometimes he left after you. The only time you had was the evening but Jungkook worked until late.

Your days were filled with domestic bliss along with work you were actually passionate about. Mornings were spent getting breakfast ready and packing lunches. Jungkook was always supportive he would help you out in the kitchen as well as wake up the kids and get them to shower. Once they were ready you all ate breakfast while counting minutes and seconds. Sometimes you went to drop them at the bus stop while Jungkook packed lunchboxes for both of you and sometimes you. The difference was marked by that Jungkook would sometimes slip in notes with encouraging words inside the box.

If he had some time to spare he would call you up in between the day and if you were free you would pick up and sometimes he would drop texts saying how eager he was to meet you at the end of the day. All your worries would go away when you met the kids at their taekwondo academy in the evening. They would run towards you jumping and gleaming in happiness but sometimes they were tired and gloomy. When you got back home Jungkook would mostly reach after eighty to ninety minutes. No matter how tired he was he would help the children in their studies and homework while you cooked dinner. He did the dishes while you spent some time with the children before he joined you all and then you would all retire to bed.

You both would watch a little bit of TV and then talk before sleeping for a while until your eyes started closing down and then continue your conversation in the early morning hours you got to yourselves while you sipped coffee sitting in the balcony watching the sun come up.

Your life was hectic but still you were at peace than you'd ever been before. The children started treating you as a family member more now than an outsider. You and Jungkook grew closer with each passing day.

You both hadn't said it out loud but you knew you'd found love again. You'd both become indispensable parts of each other's lives. As you grew emotionally closer deep down you also wanted to connect to him physically. Feeling such deep emotions for him it was only natural for you to also feel sexually attracted to him but the attraction was not only out of a physical desire but it was more of an emotional craving.

He would make out with you on the couch on weekend movie nights and search for answers in your eyes and you knew exactly what he was looking for. Although you weren't giving it to him you felt better to know that you were able to get him even without him having to use words. He would back off when he didn't receive a positive signal from you.

It wasn't that you didn't wanted him but a thought creeped you out that him and Dahyun had memories in this house. He might have not realised it yet but what if they would come back to him when he had crossed all barriers. You had a fear of his guilt coming back. They built their family in this house, fell in love, made children. All out of love.

The rainy season arrived after a very excruciating summer and the children spent their days at home with Jungkook's parents during the hours you both went to work. They'd started suspecting that there was something between you two but didn't verbally express it owing to the weirdness of it all. Jungkook decided to not keep it a secret and revealed your relationship to them and asked them if they could accept it? They were reluctant at first but after thinking about how the children and you had formed a unbreakable bond they blessed you both.

When you both were still unable to build intimacy you decided to take spend some time apart alone. You went to the countryside for a couple of days while Jungkook went on a office trip and added a couple of extra days in it to just rest and relax. When you both came back you'd more energy to give to each other.

Since you both couldn't get a long time off from work to take the children on an actual vacation, Jungkook proposed to take the children to the lake house where you both first hooked up. You immediately agreed to it, old memories would help you rekindle the spark. Bags were packed, leaves were requested, and the four of you set off on your very first holiday together.

"And you guys know what... we could also set up tents outside and camp there at night." Yejun shouted "yay!" happily from the backseat. You and Jungkook took turns to drive while trying to keep the children entertained without screens.

"Daddy are there boats?" Ria asked.

"Not near the house but if we walk a bit further there are..." he said.

"Am I supposed to turn left or right?" You asked Jungkook when he moved his hand to the left while still talking to the children.

"If you guys are hungry you can grab the packet of chips from the food bag. Chips are allowed on holidays"

Ria quickly turned around and got the chips packets out opening one for her brother and keeping one for herself. Jungkook looked at them focused on their food and looked at you before sliding his hand on your jeans covered thigh. You smiled at him touching his hand before he removed it and then grinned at you. You knew he was happy and it made you happier that it was you that contributed to his happiness and so did he to yours.

When you reached there Jungkook kept all the luggage in the respective rooms while you played with the kids outside near the lakeside. They ran around chasing each other and you made sure they didn't get anywhere near the water. After the kids ate Jungkook basically forced them to take a nap making promises of taking them for boating in the evening but you knew what he was onto. He wanted to grab every opportunity to get close to you.

When he came back to the room you were reading a book after months sitting on the bed. He closed the door behind him before he sat beside you. He looked at what you were reading and then gasped "this is..."

"Gives me emotional damage but I love it still..." you tell him when he rests his head on your lap looking at you as you continued reading. When the chapter was finished you kept the book aside and then looked at the man patiently waiting for you to look at him. You ran your hands through his hair when he sat up and leaned closer to you. You pulled him closer shifting to lay down under him as he hovered above you and you noticed his shirt was unbuttoned. His lips had just touched the skin on your neck when you heard violent knocking on the door.

"Dad!" Ria shouted from outside when Jungkook stood up and walked to the door buttoning his shirt.

"I told you to sleep"

"I was sleeping but Yejun woke me up because he couldn't sleep. We want to go outside. We're bored."

"Me and y/n are very tired baby... can we all lay down for a while before going out?" Jungkook asked picking them up in his arms. Something he feared they would grow too soon that he would be unable to do it anymore.

Both of them were tired but they were just too excited and curious that they couldn't put themselves to sleep. Jungkook laid them both on the bed and then tickled their tummies making them burst into a fit of laughter while he laughed loudly himself just looking at them truly happy. They hugged you to protect themselves from his second attack but he lied down beside you three. You told them some stories related to the house from your childhood and they grew sleepy listening to them. You watched both siblings drift to sleep slowly. Jungkook stood up and walked towards your side and lied beside you. The bed was big enough to fit the four of you.

You stroked Ria and Yejun's hair watching them peacefully sleep.

"Sometimes all of this feels like a dream. I can't believe I have kids." You tell Jungkook as he held you close.

"You had too much love inside you to not have them"

"I'm so grateful that I get to raise them. Actually Jungkook..." you looked towards him.

"What?" He asked you growing tense.

"A friend of mine is a lawyer so I was just talking to her about adoption and stuff. Maybe it might not be possible for us because of my past... it was too serious of an accusation even if I was proved innocent."

"Hey... they're your children too now..."

"That means this is it... they are the only children I'm ever going to have. But I'm happy but I just wish that I could hear someone calling me 'mom' too..."

"They will..."

"I don't wanna force them even if we get married. They remember their own mother too clearly for me to expect that..."

"Why are you worrying about such things? It'll all be fine. Look at them they're so happy. It's been a long time since I saw them this happy."

"I just want to see them happy Jungkook."

"Me too..."

"And you... I want to see you happy too..."

"Me too" he replied again pressing a kiss on your lips. You both lied down to take a short nap yourselves. You felt his hand on your waist when you were half asleep and smiled to yourself.
