Chapter 38

A few weeks had gone by it was now only 2 weeks till the wedding...i was stood I front if the mirror, I'd slapped some weight on but it was only superficial it'd be easy to lose before the big day.

The cafe had been doing so well recently it was wonderful, we had enough to hire another member of staff...I knew one of the three girls who were our regulars had wanted to work with us, but at the time we couldn't take anyone on. Me and Em talked for a while and agreed we could take her on, her name was Lorraine. When the three came in we walked over to her. 'Hey Lorraine can we have a word please?' A worried look came across her face 'oh you have nothing to be worried about Hun' Em reassured her she nodded and followed us to counter. 'Do you have a job yet?' I asked her she shook her head....'do you want one?' Her head lifted up she nodded still not saying a word. 'Do you want one here?' I asked smiling 'what? You're going to hire me?' A smile slowly spread across her face 'Yes if you want to work with us?' Em added 'thank you!' She ran back to her girls and told them they all looked at us like they didn't believe her, Me and Em nodded to confirm they turned back to her and both hugged her.

At around dinner time I was starving! I'd eaten my dinner but I needed something else, I was in a cake shop but I didn't want cakes...'Em I'm just going to the shop for food' 'you've just had your dinner' 'i know but I'm so hungry!' I walked out and came back with another sandwich and two bags of crisps....'Jesus Charlie!' 'What?' I giggled 'how much food can you possibly want?' 'This should do me nicely' I smiled and munched through the food. I was full, just. I could've maybe fit in a cake or two but I'd stick to what I'd just eaten.

I got home at the end of the day and had 2 hours to myself before whip came home, I got the phone and rang makeup and hair people to see if they could do mine for the wedding, none of them were free in two weeks...what was I going to do? Then I did what's said I'd never do...use the whippet card, I phoned one up 'hey I'm getting married to Ryan Clark in 2 weeks is it possible you can come and do the hair and makeup of me and my bridesmaids..' There was silence at the end of the phone 'oh love of course I'm free!' Uh huh thought so...'thank you so much' we sorted a time and she wrote it in her diary. What I really wanted to say was...oh you weren't free ten minutes ago, but I kept quiet.

Whip came back all smiley 'what's made you smile?' He looked at me 'I can't tell you' 'oh why?' 'Its a surprise' I was beginning to hate surprises...'when will I find out?' 'In about a week' I nodded and got up to cook some food. I fancied stir fry...I made far to much for just two of us but I was really hungry again so I helped myself to seconds 'where are you putting all that!?' Whip asked eyes widened 'I'm hungry, I've been like it all day!' 'The food is lovely, but this is your third plate!' 'Anddddd?' What was he trying to get at? 'Nothing nothing....' He trailed off and carried on eating his, 'you're in a mood' he mumbled 'what?' 'I said you're in a mood!' I looked at him, giving him one of those looks that most women give to men when due on...'shouldn't have said that..should I?' 'Nope' but then it occurred to me...I was being in a mood...'I'm sorry....sucks being a girl' he just laughed 'its fine chick sorry for pointing it out....'

That night I had chronic belly ache, time of the month? It would explain why I was so hungry, whip cuddled into me and pulled me close 'want some painkillers?' He asked gently 'no I'm fine it'll pass' it didn't but he was sound asleep and hugging me I didn't want to disturb him so I laid in pain for a while till nodding off holding his hand.
