Chapter 36

A week or so had gone by, this wedding was getting closer and closer but this day...this day was valentines day. Wonder what he'd do for me? Would he do anything? We both had to go to work so nothing happened in the morning.

I got to the cafe, the night before I had made lots of heart decorations and love things, I'd also made a special valentines day prize which we would draw at the end of the day, all the proceedings went to suicide prevention. The prize was 20 small cakes decorated as chocolates in a heart shaped box, gift wrapped, maybe would make a good valentines day prize? Well that's what I thought anyway. I walked in with it all Em looked at me gone out 'erm what's all this?' 'Well I thought we could decorate the cafe with a valentine theme and this is a prize to win all money gets donated to suicide prevention' I smiled 'you're always thinking' she laughed she took the chocolate box from me putting it on display, 'you got signs to show it off?' I nodded and took out big red glittery signs 'well they're amazing' I laughed at her 'we had some fun with that glitter' I joked 'do I wanna know this story?' I looked at her and thought 'no probably not' she shook her head laughing putting up the hearts and roses around the shop, it actually looked pretty good.

The cafe had been pretty busy over the last week, people kept asking us whether we did orders...it was an idea and we took that on, a middle aged woman ordered a heart shaped red velvet cake, after discovering how to make red velvet it looked decent, she came into the shop 'hey, cake ready?' I nodded and brought it from the back room 'that's beautiful! Thank you so so much' I smiled and packaged it up in a box wrapped a red ribbon around it and gave it her, she paid headed towards the door and turned back round 'I'm going to tell everyone about this cafe!' That put us in a lovely mood for the rest of the day.

Halfway through the day I decided to try and make some cake pops, I'd seen them before but never knew how to make them, but I was going to try, if they didn't come out good me and Em could eat them...but they came out well I was impressed! I managed to make little teddy bears that held a sweet saying something loving, they'd all sold in the first hour. Which meant I was then making more during the rest of the day.

I counted up how much money we had for the donations, there was no set price for a ticket people could donate as much as they like the sum came up to $541 not bad at all, I picked out a number *221* and pinned it to the door window. I also tweeted it to my little fan base I seemed to have gotten.

Lock up time I took off my apron and let down my hair, dusted off all the flour I had on me and walked out the shop with Em, 'anything planned tonight?' She asked smiling 'I'm not sure, you?' 'Me and my husband are going out for a meal and then going to the cinema' I smiled that sounded so lovely...'well I hope you have a great time' I waved her off and headed up to home.

When I got home there was a note on the door *im in the garden* I walked through the house and outside, but there was no pool just a big piece of material attached to both walls...I walked round and lifted it up, inside Whip had put a piece of wood across the middle and laid a red duvet over the top, there were plastic lilies floating on the water with candles on them, he'd set out a picnic on the duvet and was sat at the end smiling at me, 'happy valentines day' he said softly then he pressed a button which started music softly playing in the background. I looked around and sat down opposite...'this, this....this is amazing....' I blubbed 'hey don't get emotional, it's to show how much I love you' he smiled holding, my hand 'you're the best!' I smiled back. He got a bottle of champagne and popped off the cork pouring two glasses 'to us?' I nodded 'to us' we clinked glasses and put them down, we both leant in and kissed. It was truly magical.

We finished eating and we packed everything away food wise, we came back into the made up tent and laid down with each other, hugging. 'So how many days till the wedding' he asked. I sat up on my elbows 'you don't know?' He just smirked at me 'of course I do, I just thought to myself I'm sure you'd have a countdown' he laughed I laid back down on him 'nooooo I don't....but it's 37 days' I smiled to myself 'and you don't have a countdown' 'I don't I just know these things...' 'Uh huh sure', we laid there for another 30 minutes or so when we felt another presence....the pooches. We both looked to find them both looking down at us wagging their tails, 'we have company' whip said, they both climbed over us not caring what they stepped on 'SHIT OW!' Whip screamed out,...no guesses to where one dog had obviously stood...they both went to the bottom, walked round in circles for a while and then laid down, I snuggled into whip feeling myself begin to fall asleep...'are you snoring!!?' Whip suddenly asked me 'what no?! I'm not even asleep!' We both looked down at the dogs, it was them!

We decided to call it a night and go to bed. We were both facing each other 'the invites came this morning, I've wrote names on, just need to give them out' 'well I can take the lads theirs tomorrow with me' I smiled 'right okay, I can post family invites and Matt and Claire's' he nodded beginning to fall asleep....'night night' I kissed him on the end of the nose gently he smiled and closed his eyes.
