CHAPTER 23

Joe and Royce walked in the stadium, hand in hand. It has been a little over a month since the two ran off together and tied the knot. Neither Royce nor Joe answered any of their friends or parents, except if it was work related. For some reason the two just wanted to enjoy this new chapter they've both entered before they had to face the entire world... And of course their psycho friends.

Tonight they'd be making their returns back on Raw as a married couple. Royce was more afraid of answering her mom and dad. Her parents were very fond of Neels and excited that Royce had finally found someone to settle down with. She was positive running away to Vegas and getting married by an Elvis impersonator, broke their hearts since they were prepared for a big white wedding. On the other hand, Royce had zero clue if Joe's parents even liked her. She's met them very few times, mostly when she was on her way back from finishing a match and Joe would say hi and stop her. His mom was always nice, as well as his dad but they loved Galina. And Royce, well was nowhere like Galina.

"I know what you're thinking about, stop it." Joe squeezed her hand. "Don't worry about my parents right now, okay? This is our time, our life, our decision, not theirs."

She nodded. "You're right but I also don't want a mother in law who hates me. Joe me and you both know that they loved Galina, I'm the complete opposite of her!"

"Royce," he stopped and stood in front of her. "You're right, you are the opposite of her and guess what? That's what I love about you. My mom will like you and they will welcome you into our family, she'd do anything for me."

"My dads going to kill you." Royce sighed and kept walking.

Joe grabbed her hand and spun her around, pinning her against the wall. "Let him kill me but I'll die knowing we got married and lived our happily ever after."

"Royce!" Voices squealed.

They turned and seen Paige, Carmella, Becky, and the twins. The girls quickly ran over there, shoving Joe out of the way.

"Move Joe!" Becky pushed him away.

"You bitch! You didn't answer my calls or texts!" Paige growled but hugged Royce.

"Thank goodness you're back." Carmella sighed. "But you have some explaining to do Ms. Presley!"

"Or should we say Mrs. Anoa'i?" Nikki smirked.

"Come on, let's go to the locker room." Becky took her hand.

"Oh and hey Joe," Brie and Paige briefly acknowledged him.

"You know that's my wife now and we weren't done talking!" He yelled after the girls.

"No one cares, go bother the guys!" Paige yelled back.

"Look who's back everyone!" Carmella announced Royce's presence to their locker room.

"You're back!" Naomi, Charlotte, Sasha, and Lana tackled her to the floor.

"Let's see the ring!" Natalya said.

Royce held up her left hand and showed everyone, earning gasps and "oohs" from the locker room, still sitting on the ground.

Charlotte placed her hands on her hips. "Damn and I thought my ring was nice."

"I thought the ring Neels got her was nice." Sasha gaped at the diamond.

"You owe us an explanation." Nikki stated.

Royce sighed in defeat, she got up off the ground and sat on a chair. "It was the day I just moved into my new apartment... Nick showed up and weirdly convinced me to go to Joe's house and get back with him. I did and Galina answered the door-

"What the fuck?" Paige rolled her eyes.

"Her and Jojo were there, they ordered a pizza and Jojo basically forced me into the house and made me eat with them. They left and I walked around, he had a picture of me and then one of us holding the championships up. Finally I confessed I loved him and he left the room then came back with a ring and said to marry him. Next thing I know we're on his jet to Vegas, went to a chapel full of Elvis got married and drunk then boom here we are, married." She finished the story.

"Very romantic." Lana remarked. "But you both want this right?"

"Of course." Royce replied.

"Well we're happy you guys are back together!" Sasha cheered and embraced her once more. "You guys are truly meant to be."

"We're so happy to have you back, married and all." Brie smiled.

Charlotte sat next to her. "There's some things you missed out on... We gotta tell you something."

"What is it?" Royce wondered.

"Well... You see... Corbin teamed up with an unexpected Diva." Naomi nervously chuckled. "You know now that Joe returned, their feud is real off screen we all know how much Joe and Corbin hate each other off camera."

"And Joe's new storyline involves Corbin.." Becky looked down.

Royce threw her hands up. "Alright who's the Diva?"

"It's Su-

"Royce Presley!" An annoying voice squeaked.

Royce shut her eyes and mentally groaned. A voice she never thought she'd have to hear again.

"Look who it is!" Dean clapped Joe as he walked in the room.

"There's the married man." Seth patted his shoulder. "Welcome back bro."

"Where's Royce?" Finn asked.

"The Divas took her from me." Joe replied.

"Typical." Drew chuckled. "So how is it being married again?"

Joe sat his things down. "It's pretty amazing, Royce is really my bestfriend."

"Umm what about us?" Dolph pointed at the guys.

"You know what I mean." He laughed.

"We seen yours and Corbins storyline is still going on." Finn shook his head. "I can't believe they paired Corbin up with her."

"I know, I thought she wouldn't come back to WWE." Dean added on.

Joe rose his eyebrow. "Who's paired with Corbin?"

Jey scratched the side of his head. "It's actually going to be you and Royce vs Corbin and-

"Summer Rae!" Royce faked smiled. "What a pleasant surprise."

"Welcome back Mrs. Anoa'i." Summer looked her up and down. "Wow you've... Changed since the last time I saw you."

"How so?" Royce titled her head.

"The tattoos.. Piercings.. Style. But I mean you look great!" The blonde lied.

"It's always a pleasure talking to you Summer." Royce bit her tongue.

"So it looks like me, you, your hubby, and Corbin all have a match tonight. I can't wait to get back in the ring with you." Summer said. "Oh congratulations on the marriage, even if it was a Vegas wedding." She giggled and walked out of the locker room.

"I'm gonna kill her." Royce said. "Why the fuck did they bring her back and especially pair her up with Corbin?"

"I have no idea." Brie rolled her eyes. "It's been so long I forgot the way she acts."

"There's not enough alcohol in the world to deal with that beach blonde bimbo." Paige groaned and rubbed her eyes.

Royce and Joe walked out of Vince's office after talking about their new lovely storyline.

"She's really back." Joe said. "Well, let's try not to kill them."

Royce scoffed. "We couldn't even if we tried. You know she made a comment about us getting married in Vegas."

"I'm not surprised." He fixed his gloves. "Flash your ring at her next time."

"Shut up." She nudged him.

They approached the gorilla, watching Summer and Corbin run their mouths about the newly weds.

"Are you ready?" She turned to Joe.

He smiled and kissed her. "Let's go win that match, and celebrate at the hotel."

"I'm too jet lagged." Royce teased him. He went to say something but she walked through the curtain as her music played. "What? Sorry gotta go, see you out there!"

Joe just laughed and shook his head. She was the one all along.

Royce and Summer started the matchup, Royce had to admit, Summer did have some speed on her.

Summer went for the high heel kick and really did hit Royce in the mouth. She wasn't even supposed to actually kick her.

Summer went for the pin and Royce pushed her off.

"You actually kicked me." Royce whispered to her.

"I know." Summer shrugged and then slapped Royce.

"What the fuck." Royce slapped her back.

The two began going at it, instead of making the moves look real, they actually were real. Royce cursed Summers long legs that she used to deliver leg drops to her.

"What the hell is your problem?" Royce asked while they were on the top rope.

Summer didn't reply, instead she gripped Royce's shorts and flipped her over onto her back on the mat.

After going back and forth, Joe and Corbin were tagged in. Of course Corbin tried to cheat and use his  scepter but the ref caught him. As Joe went for the pin, Summer got in and broke up the count. Royce quickly got her off guard with a spinebuster and then delivered a frog splash from the top rope. Joe speared Corbin and picked up the win.

"Here are your winners, the team of Royce and Roman Reigns!"

"She was really hitting you." Joe told Royce after the ref raised their hands.

"I know," Royce caught her breath. "She really kicked me in the face, that bitch."

"Come on, let's go." Joe helped her out of the ring.

"Summer really kicked you." Nikki said. "What is her problem?"

"No idea." Royce sighed.

"Hi wifey." Joe greeted Royce after her shower.

"Hi Joe." Royce chuckled and sat in the bed with him. "Just kidding, hi hubby."

He pecked her lips. "Hubby... I never would've thought I'd be calling Royce my wife."

"And I never thought I'd be calling Joe my husband." She copied him. "I should call my parents..."

Joe handed Royce her phone. "I'm not gonna stop you, I'll probably call mine once you're done."

Royce took in a deep breath and pressed her moms contact. The longer the phone rang the more anxiety she got.

"Royce Presley Mahfud! Where the hell have you been?!"

"In Vegas..." Royce said.

"Yeah I seen that! But a chapel wedding! Really Royce? Especially with Joe, Roy he got a divorce. Why Joe?" Malia questioned.

Royce stayed silent for a moment. "Why not?"

"What could you possibly be doing for him? Royce, sweetie, he's a dad. He's busy focusing on his children, what in the hell did you do? Better yet, what do you guys have in common?"

"A lot actually." Royce said. "Listen mom, I know you and dad are upset at what I did... But after he got his divorce we were a thing for a good amount of time."

"He was vulnerable Royce, I met Galina and his family before. Fresh out of a divorce anyone is vulnerable. Let me guess were you his shoulder to cry on?" Malia huffed.

Royce looked at Joe and widely smiled. She sat on his lap and hugged him around his neck. Joe wrapped his arms around her waist and held her close.

"I was his hound of justice."
