Late

Maddie's POV (competition today) I woke up, glanced at my alarm clock and got up. Downstairs my mom was finishing cooking breakfast while Mackenzie was wolfing down the breakfast she was already given.   "Whoa Mackenzie, slow down...." "Maddie I can't....look at the time." I suddenly realized today was Saturday and we had to be at the studio by 8. "7:50" the clock read, I was suddenly in full panic mode. I sprinted upstairs and threw on a white t-shirt, jeans, black flats, and my ALDC jacket. I look back at the time to see it say "7:53". My mom had laid out a plate of pancakes for me and it took me 4 minutes to eat. Good thing my bag for the competition was already by the door... My mom runs out of her room and throw all the bags and suitcases into the car. We arrive at the studio just as everybody was getting onto the bus. I checked my phone and it was 8:10. Well, we made it... I breathed a sigh of relief and gave my luggage to the people before walking into the bus. The first thing I heard was my teammates saying I was finally here and Abby... "The Zieglers are here, Melissa why are you three late?" I answered for her instead, hoping that she wouldn't get mad. "Miss Abby, I overslept and I guess everybody else did. We didn't mean to be but it just happened..." "Thank you Maddie, just take your seat because we're leaving now...You're just lucky the bus was running a little bit late or you'd have to drive all the way to Ohio yourself. "  The rest of the trip seemed pretty normal, and when we got to the competition in Ohio we signed in just as we saw none other than Cathy and the Candy Apples...Cathy brings out the absolute worst in Abby. "This should be fun..." I thought.

ok so a little bit longer but not much, but comp's coming up so enjoy :)
