Awards

Maddie's POV We sat down after dancing for just a minute or two to start with awards. We were positive the group dance would win, and I was confident in all three of the solos that has competed today. "Ok, so let's start right off with the elite pre-teen solo division. In 3rd place is Hannah with 'Swimming Alone'." Everybody clapped for Hannah. "In second place....is..." Stop with the tease, please just tell us!! "Nia with 'House of Voodoo'!" Nia stood up and walked up to claim her trophy. I could tell her mom would be happy, now what about first... "Finally, 1st place in the elite pre-teen category is.........." Everybody eyed the announcer with anticipation. "Maddie with 'Golden Girl'!" I gently stood up at walked over to get my trophy smiling ear to ear. "What studio do you go to Maddie?" I replied with, "Abby Lee Dance Company" looking into the audience at Abby. "Great job ladies. Now, we have the elite teen solo division. In 3rd place is Hope with 'Hold On'. In 2nd place is..." We all held hands, in hopes that Kalani would be first. "Neeya with 'Bad Apple'. Finally, our 1st place elite teen solo winner for the day is..." Everybody again eyed him and held their breath. "Kalani with 'Unbeauty'!" Even though she forgot her solo she still got first...She stood up, claimed her trophy, stated her studio and walked back. They went through the petite group awards, junior group awards, and pre-teen group awards before it was finally our turn. "Now we have the final awards for the day, the elite teen small group awards. How does that sound?" Everybody started clapping. "So, in 3rd place is Sunshine Dance Company with 'Black Roses'.  In second place, we have...Creative Movement Dance Co with 'Just a Dream'. Finally....in first place....is...Abby Lee Dance Company with Stomp the Yard!!" We all stood up jumping and screaming. We all sort of ran to get our trophy. "Tell everybody what studio you go to." We shouted at the top of our lungs, "ABBY LEE DANCE COMPANY!!" It was a happy moment for us. We all walked off stage and into the halls to our dressing room before meeting our moms. "Great job girls!" All of them we happy. We continued all the way to the dressing room and then started to take off our make-up and costumes before Miss Abby walked in. "Yay! Good job girls! We got first place!" She then gave a small frown and looked over at Nia. "But you Nia, got second place..." I looked at Kendall who was looking right back at me. My dream...it was starting to come true... My first reaction was to try to talk to her but before I could my head started to hurt, I got dizzy and blacked out. The last thing I heard before knocking out cold was Kendall screaming, "MADDIE!!!"
