Chapter 9

Nala's POV

Freddy handed me a blue packaged gift with a darker blue bow. It was shaped long-wise so, I had to turn it side-ways.

"This is from Bonnie." he said as he handed it to me. I gently untied the bow, wanting to use it later, and opened the lid. I gasped. Inside, was miniature version of his guitar, but instead of red and white it was a light pink and white.

"Thank you, Bonnie!" I exclaimed happily. Bonnie smiled at me.

"This one is from..." Freddy began, but Chica cut him off, mouthing the words, "Do this one last."

"Ok, here is my gift to you." Freddy said as he handed me a tightly wrapped gift. It was purple with a big, green bow. I opened it and smiled. Inside, a small top hat, bow tie, and a fake microphone lay at the bottom. I lifted the top hat to put it on over my tiara, but a sparkle caught my eye. I put the top hat on the table and picked up this shiny object. It was golden with 'Nala' carved on the front. Then, I gasped. It was a locket! I opened it up to see a picture of the four on the left side, but nothing on the right.

"You can put your picture in here." Freddy said, pointing at the empty space.

"Ok, now mine!" Chica jumped up and picked up a small, sparkly, bright yellow box with a dark orange bow. I opened it and it was a silver necklace with an Opal in the middle. Around it was little diamonds to bring out the color of the Opal. It looked as if it were alive, filled with different intense colors.

"It was a last minute thing." Chica explained. I ran over and hugged her, not caring that my tiara was lopsided a bit. Chica fixed my tiara and put on my necklace. "Perfect! You look absolutely adorable." She smiled.

"Hey, what time is it?" Bonnie asked.

"Seven-thirty." Freddy answered.

"What do we do now?" Chica asked.

• • • Later, still in Nala's POV, after lots of games....

We all walked out, me first. Chica helped me down Pirate Cove's stage and let me walk around. Foxy sat on the stage while Freddy and Chica watched Bonnie try to entertain me. He took his shoes off and started to glide around the floor. I clapped and laughed as he struggled to keep balance on one foot. I started to take my shoes off and join in, gliding on two feet instead of one. Bonnie started to lose balance again, but instead of regaining it, he fell, running into a dining table and knocking it over, along with the rest of them.

"Heheh, sorry." he said and blushed. I soon fell over, but into someone. I looked up and saw Freddy. Only it wasn't normal Freddy, it was someone who looked a lot like him. This person had shockingly golden hair that even glowed in the light, deep black eyes, a dark blue top hat and bow tie to fit with the atmosphere of his appearance, and a dark, gloomy look penetrated my happiness.

"Gold, what are you doing here?!" Freddy exclaimed.

"I came to see how all of you were. I didn't expect a mortal girl to be in your custody!" the person named 'Gold' shouted.

"We found her covered in blood outside. We couldn't just leave her there!" Chica shouted back.

"Bloody or not, she mustn't ever know about us! You disobeyed me!" Gold shouted, getting angrier with every word.

"Well, maybe we shouldn't listen to you! I'm more of a kind-hearted leader than you!" Freddy shot back. Soon, Gold growled deeply, causing me to retreat to Foxy.

"It's alright, lass. He won't hurt ye." Foxy reassured me. "I won't let him."

"You too, Foxy?!" Gold asked, shocked. "I trusted you most and you blew it too."

"Aye, ye better watch your words or I'll have yer throat slit." Foxy stood up immediately and pointed his hook at him.

"Well, I'm not a rule-breaker now am I? You're the oldest, but you still didn't listen." Gold said and looked at me in disgust. "I'll give you all one more chance if you stuff this endoskeleton back into its suit." He smiled maliciously.

"No! We'd never hurt Nala!" Chica snapped.

"You even named her." Gold shook his head. "Well, I gave you all a chance, but now's time to end the fun." Gold headed towards Foxy and I.
