The Girl Who Knew Too Much

22:16, 24 July 2015

Castiel had taken Eleanor. He had gotten what he and Crowley had needed.

Cas had also made Sam's wall that protected him from the memories of Hell crumble.

Sam was in Bobby's panic room, locked inside himself on the cot.

Dean was sitting at his bedside, a glass of whiskey in his hand.

Bobby led me toward the room, looking at Dean. "Look what the cat dragged in."

Dean looked at Bobby and me, standing.

I looked at the Angel-proofing on the walls of the panic room. "Well, at least you boys finally got the Angel-proofing right." I pointed at Sam. "How's Sleeping Beauty? You didn't steal any kisses, I trust?"

"Look, smartass, the whole sarcastic thing trying to cover up how worried you really are?" Dean asked. "I can see right through it." I didn't answer, looking at Sam's unconscious body. "What the hell took you so long?"

I sighed, pulling out a piece of paper, handing to Dean. "Cas and Crowley are there. That's where the show gets started. You know, I thought I was done with the whole double agent thing once we stopped the Apocalypse."

"Yeah, well, it is what you're good at doing, so thanks," Dean told me, opening the paper to see the address, handing it to show Bobby. "All right, well, give us a minute to pack up and then we get there ASAP." I looked down. "Octavia."

"We're betraying a friend here," I told them. "A very good, very powerful friend. We all are."

"Look, I know you feel guilty, and I get it," Dean told me. "But we need your help."

"And you'll get it," I told them. "I just... I wish it didn't have to come to this."

Bobby nodded barely. "So do we."

We looked at Sam's unconscious body sadly, sighing.

Bobby was packing up some things, including a flask of Holy Water.

I had my Angel Sword, handing it to Bobby. "You'll need this more than I will."

Bobby took it, packing it into his bag. "Thanks." I nodded. Bobby looked at Dean. "Time's up, Dean."

"Yeah, just a second," Dean told us, kneeling next to Sam with the piece of paper I'd given him. "All right, this is where we're gonna be, Sam. You get your lazy ass out of bed and come meet us. Sammy, please."

Dean stood, putting the paper down next to Sam with a gun on top of it, walking toward us.

Bobby, Dean and I walked out.

*

We pulled up in the Impala, to the building where Crowley's lab was.

Outside the building, men were standing around it as guards.

"I count a dozen mooks, probably more," I told them.

"Demons?" Dean asked.

"Angels," I answered.

"Well, how the hell are we gonna take out that many Angels?" Dean asked.

"We don't," I answered. "I take you in."

I was pulled out of the car by a summoning spell.

*

I appeared in the building to see Castiel standing next to the summoning spell, holding a jar of blood. "You rang, Cas?"

"Yeah," Castiel answered. "We have a problem. Dean is on his way here."

"Really?" I asked. "Oh. How'd he even know where we were?"

Castiel put the jar down. "Apparently we have a Judas in our midst." He stood. "And I know how well you play one side while you're on the other." He turned to face me. "Just be honest with me, Octavia."

I hesitated, sighing. "This isn't you, Cas." Castiel nodded to himself. "We're trying to help you."

"You're trying to stop me from doing the right thing," Castiel told me.

"How is this the right thing?" I asked. "There is nothing right here, Cas."

"First Sam and Dean, and now this," Castiel told me. "I'm doing my best in impossible circumstances. My friends, they abandon me. Plot against me. It's difficult to understand."

Balthazar walked closer from behind me. "Well, you've always got little old me."

"Balthazar, it's not a good time," I told him.

"I say it's the perfect time," Balthazar told me, standing behind my shoulder now.

I felt an Angel Blade pierce through my back into my heart, through my chest, gasping in pain.

Castiel looked on in shocked horror and denial, angry. "No!"

I felt blood trickling down my chin, gasping. "Bal..."

"I'm really sorry, Ava," Balthazar told me. "But you got too close to what not only what Castiel and Crowley were trying to achieve, but me. You're just a girl who knows too much. I'm sorry. The girl who knew too much."

Balthazar took the blade out of my back, letting me fall to the floor.

Castiel watched in horror, unable to do anything to save me.

Light exploded out of my body. My wings seared onto the concrete on either side of me. My arms aligned with the wings.

I was done.

I was gone.

But for good?
