The End

03:17, 17 May 2015

The Angels didn't know that I had contact with Castiel, at least, or the Winchesters, or Bobby.

Which was the only thing keeping me alive besides looking for God at the moment.

Castiel knew it was stupid to be together frequently, knowing that it could expose all of us, allow the Angels to take Dean to Michael to be his vessel.

Dean didn't care about me. I knew he didn't even trust me.

Sam was the one to call through prayer.

I appeared in his motel room after dark. "You called?"

Sam turned to face me. "Hey. Sorry. Look, I get that it's dangerous for you to even be around any of us." I nodded. Sam raised a hex bag. "But I think you're safe."

"Angel proofing a motel room?" I asked.

"I kind of needed it as of late," Sam told me. I looked at him in confusion. Sam put the hex bag down. "Lucifer has been visiting my dreams."

I nodded in understanding. "It's starting."

"You knew that I was his vessel?" Sam asked. I didn't answer. Sam scoffed softly. "Wow. Thanks for the heads up."

"I'm an Angel," I told him. "What did you expect?"

"I don't know," Sam told me. "Some honesty?"

"I have been honest with you," I told him. "As honest as I could be without getting all of us killed."

Sam nodded. "Right. I'm sorry."

"Angel-proof or not, those hex bags won't last long," I told him. "Why did you call?"

Sam sighed, sitting down on the bed. "Demons are telling hunters that I started all of this. And I did, I know that. But it means that hunters are all for blood." I stepped closer. "I nearly got killed the other night. And I know that it won't be the last, because more hunters are gonna find out, and more are gonna come for me. Because I started the Apocalypse. Because I let Lucifer out of his cage."

I sighed, sitting next to him. "You were killing Lilith. You didn't know that was a bad thing, or that she was the last Seal. You were manipulated. And I was forced to manipulate you. I've been hard on you, and your brother, and for that, I'm sorry. Part of this is on me for listening to the Angels. I was the one that let you out of the panic room, Sam." Sam looked at me in surprised confusion. "I'm the reason that you were able to kill Lilith."

"You were just doing what you were told," Sam told me.

"And now I am doing what I am told," I told him. "I've considered disobedience, but not this way. Not to this extent. But I want to stay alive." I looked at Sam. "And wouldn't it pay to have someone on the inside?"

Sam raised his eyebrows. "Are you—Are you seriously suggesting that you be a double agent?"

"Your words," I told him. "Not mine."

Sam smirked, surprised, nodding. "Nice. You do realize that means you have to be more careful now more than ever, right?"

"You do realize I wasn't born yesterday, right?" I replied. I thought for a moment. "Actually, I was never even born. I was created."

"So, that means you Angels aren't even related at all?" Sam asked.

I tilted my head. "Technically."

"Then why do you think of yourselves as siblings?" Sam asked.

"Because we were created by the same maker," I answered. "All those years ago. Some Angels have been known to..."

"Be together?" Sam finished. I nodded. "And are you one of them?"

I looked at Sam in confusion. "If you mean with Cas, then no. I've never been. He was always... like an actual brother. Like Dean is to you. But there has been another, yes." Sam nodded cautiously. "He's dead."

Sam hesitated. "Oh. Wow. Sorry."

I shook my head, looking away. "This is not what you called me for."

"No," Sam answered. He sighed. "I, uh... I'm just kind of... worried about what Lucifer might do to make me say yes."

"Stay hidden and you may never find out," I told him.

"I can't hide forever," Sam told me.

I shook my head barely. "No. You cannot. But if you say yes, then you are saying that everything that Cas did, and everything that I am doing, means nothing to you. Are you ready to do that?" Sam looked at me, shaking his head. "Then don't fret. You'll make the right choice, one way or the other."

"How do you know that, Octavia?" Sam asked.

"I may know a thing or two about you, Sam Winchester," I told him. "You were, after all, my charge once. In some ways, you still are." Sam and I looked at each other for a moment. I looked away. "I should go. I can't be with you for too long before they are able to find us."

"Right," Sam told me. "Sorry. Go." I stood. "Octavia?" I turned to face him. "Thanks."

I barely nodded, disappearing, leaving.
