Lucifer Rising
02:21, 17 May 2015Sam and Ruby were readying themselves to kill Lilith, the Demon responsible for breaking the Seals to start the Apocalypse.
I pulled Dean into a lavishly appointed, designed, angelic, beautiful green room. "Hello, Dean." Dean looked at me in confusion. "It's almost time."
*
Dean was poking around the room, looking at the pastoral paintings on the walls, turning to the table, finding that a bowl was sitting there with ice and beer bottles, and a large platter of hamburgers. He picked up a beer bottle.
Zachariah appeared. "Hello, Dean. You're looking fit."
Dean put his beer bottle down, turning to face us, looking at me. "Let me guess, Ariel. This is your new Ursula?"
"I still don't know what you mean by that," I told him.
Dean sighed. "Story of my life. So, what is this? Where the hell am I?"
"Octavia?" Zachariah asked.
I sighed, pacing slightly. "Call it a green room. We're closing in on the grand finale, here. We want to keep you safe before showtime." I gestured to the food on the table. "Try a burger. They're your favorite. From that seaside shack in Delaware. You were 11, I think."
"I'm not hungry," Dean told us.
"No?" Zachariah asked. "How about Ginger from season 2 of 'Gilligan's Island'? You do have a thing for her, don't you?"
"Tempting," Dean told us. "Weird."
"We'll throw in Mary Ann for free," Zachariah told him.
Dean looked as if he was considering it, shaking his head. "No, no. Let's... bail on the holodeck, okay? I want to know what the game plan is."
"Let us worry about that," Zachariah told him. "We want you... focused, relaxed."
"Well, I'm about to be pissed and leaving, so start talking, Chuckles," Dean told him.
Zachariah sighed. "All the Seals have fallen. Except one."
"That's an impressive score," Dean told us sarcastically. "That's... that's right up there with the Washington Generals."
"You think sarcasm's appropriate, do you?" Zachariah asked. "Considering... you started all this?" Dean didn't answer. "But the final Seal... it'll be different."
"Why?" Dean asked.
"Lilith has to break it," I told him. "She's the only who can. Tomorrow night. Midnight."
"Where?" Dean asked.
"We're working on it," I told him.
"Well, work harder," Dean told us.
"We'll do our job," Zachariah told him. "You just make sure you do yours."
"Yeah, and what is that, exactly?" Dean asked. "If I'm supposed to be the one that stops her, how? With the knife?"
"All in good time," Zachariah told him.
"Isn't now a good time?" Dean asked.
"Have faith," Zachariah told him.
"What, in you?" Dean asked. "Give me one good reason why I should."
Zachariah stepped closer to Dean threateningly. "Because you swore your obedience. So obey."
Dean looked toward me.
I looked down guiltily.

Zachariah had told Dean the real plan to allow the Apocalypse to happen, and there was nothing that Dean could do about it.
And Dean was trying to convince Castiel to help him stop it.
Dean was pacing in the room, pausing at the platter of hamburgers, considering. He took one.
Castiel appeared, grabbing Dean's shoulder, pushing him against the wall, pressing a hand over his mouth, drawing Ruby's Demon-killing knife, looking at Dean.
Dean nodded.
Castiel let Dean go, cutting his forearm, taking the blood with his other hand, smearing it on the wall, drawing the Angel Banishing Sigil.
I appeared. "Cas..."
Castiel and Dean looked at me.
I barely moved my head in a nod, nearly nonexistent.
Castiel returned the nod, going back to drawing the sigil.
I stepped closer, acting as if I would try to stop him.
Zachariah appeared. "Castiel, would you mind explaining just what the hell you're doing?"
Castiel slammed his bleeding hand over the sigil, making us disappear with a violent flash of white light.
I wanted them to try to stop it.
I didn't know if they would be successful, but I wanted them to try.
