The weekend came so the guys and me went out to our normal spot, Johnny's Saloon. We hadn't really spent much time these last few months, just us as a band outside of the studio and we were due for a night out.
"So how's miss Jo doing?" Brian asked.
"She's doing all right. The twins are doing a number on her though. Most of the time she's miserable."
Johnny started to say something but some girl stepped up.
"Sorry to interrupt, but I uh I was wondering if maybe you would want to dance?" I looked up to see she was looking at me.
"Sorry, I don't think that's wise." I shook my head as I showed off my wedding band.
I didn't want her to get the wrong impression if I had said yes.
"You're right I'm sorry. It's just me and my friends are fans of the band." She motioned towards a small table of people "And just thought it would be cool to have an innocent dance with one of my favorite singers. Sorry to bug you."
"No it's okay. Come on Shads what's one innocent dance with a fan." Brian smiled before the girl walked away. "What's your name sweetheart?"
"The names Melinda." The girl smiled sweetly as she had faced back to us.
"So come on Matt, dance with Melinda. Just dancing isn't cheating." Brian shrugged with a smile.
"Okay fine." I finished off my beer and stood up with a small smile, "Just one dance."
"Sounds good to me." She nodded with a smile. "Thank you." She said as we walked to the little dance floor.
"Anytime."
But that one dance turned into a few more as the night went on while we hung out with her and her friends. They actually seemed like a pretty cool group of people and not just cause they were fans.
"You're so beautiful Ells." I smiled as I moved some of her hair behind her ear. I was definitely three sheets to the wind, and been having a good time.
"You think so?" She smirked.
"I know so."
She got her face close to mine, "But there's a problem with the statement. I'm not this Ells you speak of, I'm Melinda but I'll be anybody you want me to be sexy." She smiled at me as she ran her hand down my cheek.
"Oh shit, you're not, my bad." I chuckled went to lean back but she grabbed my shirt and kissed me.
Even though her lips were soft, and I was drunk I knew it was wrong for that to be happening. And she wasn't who I wanted to kiss so I quickly pushed her away.
"What the fuck?!" I growled and wiped my mouth off as I stood up quickly.
"Oh come on like you didn't want to do that."
"No, not with you, you fucking bitch! I'm married, this was only supposed to be me and the guys until you and your friends intervened. So that was your plan huh?! Wait until I was vulnerable, had quite a few beers in me then try to get me to bed like a fucking whore!"
"Hey! Don't call my sister a whore!" Some guy jumped up.
"Fuck off, you punk! That's what she is, that's what whores do is kiss on married men!" I growled at him.
"I think it's time to call it a night." Zacky stepped in.
"Motherfucker needs to apologize to my sister first!"
"I ain't apologizing to any of you, fuck that." I then looked at Melinda, "You're the one who needs to apologize to me! YOU kissed ME."
You could tell she was getting ready to say something but her punk ass brother spoke up again, "No, she doesn't, your drunk ass fucking led her on. All calling her beautiful and shit." He then got up in my face, "Apologize for calling my sister a whore."
"Brad, it's okay, he doesn't have to." Melinda told him.
"The hell he doesn't. He shouldn't have called you that."
"I had every right to call it like it is, and your punk ass better get out of my face!"
"Not until you apologize to my sister, and if anyone is the punk it's you!" He jabbed a finger into my chest, "Think you're badass with your damn band. What did it hurt your damn ego that she made the first move?"
"Man fuck off! My ego has nothing to do with this because I wasn't going to do anything with her!"
"Right." He scoffed, "That's why you called her beautiful."
"In his defense, he called me his wife's name." Melinda spoke up.
"Don't defend him, in case you forgot he called you a whore!"
"Come on, let's break this up. Forget it happened. She made a mistake and kissed him, he made a mistake and called her a name." Brian tried stepping in between us but neither one of us budged.
I'm not backing down from this that easily. She knew I was married, I told her from the beginning.
"Not until he apologizes to my damn sister if it was truly a mistake!" He jabbed his finger into my chest again.
That was the last straw, I grabbed his wrist and twisted it a little, "Keep your fucking hands off me!" I then let go of him as I nudged it away from me.
"Fuck you!" That's when he decided it was wise to punch me.
The punch jerked my head back then I went at him "You mother fucker! That was a big mistake!" I got a couple punches in before I was pulled off by Brian and Zacky.
"Matt, stop!" Brian yelled at me when I tried going after the punk again, "Enough man!"
"That mother fucker started it." I growled out watching Brads friends trying to keep him back.
"And I'm finishing it." Brian groaned keeping a hold of my arm and other hand on my chest. "I don't think Joella will be too happy if you end up in jail."
"Come on, let's get you home man." Zacky had stated.
"I'm sorry for what I did." Melinda finally apologized.
I just looked at her and nodded, I was too pissed to say anything. She took the hint as I glared at her brother as all left the Saloon, well more Brads friends dragging him away.
Groaning they got me to Zacky's car and I got in. I knew I should have just walked away, and probably would have, be the bigger man that is, but the Motherfucker punched me first and I wasn't going to back down from that.
"We're forgetting Johnny." I stated when Zack pulled away from the bar.
"Nah man, he left right before all that shit happened." Zacky chuckled.
"Oh, that's right." I nodded and rest my head on the back of the seat.
Because of everything, I had forgotten he had left earlier than us since Lacey called saying their little one wasn't feeling good and she couldn't get him to stop crying.
"Was I wrong?" I asked randomly.
"About what?" Zacky asked as he glanced towards me.
"About tonight. About everything that happened."
"Hey it was just dancing. You didn't know she would kiss you." Brian said from the backseat. "And I'm sorry, that was my fault, you turned her down and I talked you into dancing with her."
When he said that, I nodded, "It's okay man."
"And I heard you tell her multiple times you were married." Zacky pointed out.
"Obviously she didn't listen." I grumbled, "But I felt like I did led her to believe I wanted to take it more."
It was probably me wrong to be dancing with some other chic, but I never wanted it go beyond that. That's the last thing I wanted.
Fuck, Joella is going to be so pissed at me and I don't blame her one bit. I'm definitely going to tell her what happened, I don't want to keep any secrets from her. She deserves the truth.
