Chapter 11 (Final)

3 days have passed

Nightwing walks causiously, ready for an attack around a corner."Who goes there?" A voice spoke.Nightwing jumped at the voice, startled due to it being the first sound he's heard in a while."Nightwing. Now who are you?""Robin?" A bubbly voice asked."Terra?"

Terra walked over to Nightwing, the same old smile on her face."What's up, Robin?"Nightwing held out a hand. "It's Nightwing. And I'm looking for Raven."Terra did her traditional handshake, with a confused look on her face."Raven? Why would she be here?""Long story... but why are you here?""I'm the new leaders apprentice. But don't freak out! He's not as bad as you think! He's not evil!" "Who's the leader? That may be able to tell me where Raven is.""I'll show you to him. Hey, Robin?" Nightwing payed full attention to Terra, from the look on her face."How's Beast Boy?" Nightwing smiled. "I'm not sure, Terra. I left a couple of years ago. But you can always visit him at the Titans tower. He'll be excited to see you, that's for sure."Terra frowned. "So I'm not allowed to join the team, again?""That's up to them." Terra shrugged. "I like it here, anyway. It's-" she looked down at the lava, and scratched her head."... Cozy."Nightwing laughed. "Alright. Lead me the way." "Okay... But I haven't seen her around. Maybe they're keeping her a secret from her. But I'm sure if my boss knows, I'll know." Terra said, running.Nightwing sighed, and ran with Terra to get there faster.

Terra grunted as she threw rocks at the demon creature. Nightwing put explosives in its eyes, and it stumbled into the lava."Nice!" Terra smiled.

"Okay. We're here." It was basically a cake, with a bunch of lights and a thrown. There were servants everywhere, and in the throne there was a man with long slick black hair."Terra, what have we here?" He spoke In a deep voice."A friend, Luth. His name is Nightwing, and he's looking for Raven."He had a confused look on his face, which Nightwing knew that was no good."Never heard of the name. And I haven't sensed any new souls here.... wasn't she Trigons daughter?"Nightwing nodded, and he continued."She wouldn't have got in, even if she teleported. We have this place blocked from anything with Trigons blood in it. She would instantly die."Nightwing gasped. "I got a letter, saying she was immortal and she was here. Now where is she?" Nightwing barked and yelled, frustrated.The guardians pointed there weapons at Nightwing, and he calmed down."If she was here, she'd be at the underground. I'll teleport you there."

Terra and Nightwing fell on a hot floor. "Ouch!" Terra yelled, jumping up from the three degree burns on her face and legs. Nightwing jumped up, harmless."You alright?" Terra nodded."Well, this is the underground, of the underground. How deep can we get?" Nightwing joked.Terra laughed. "Alright. I've never been down here. So I guess we'll just walk until we find something."

"Ahhh!" Terra yelled, smashing into a wall.Nightwing flipped and kicked the demon, and was too focused on it to realize there was another one who was near Terra.When Nightwing killed the beast, he heard the most bloody scream. He looked to his side, and his eyes got wide. He acted fast, stabbing the demon in the back, making it dissolve into black blood."Terra!" Terra was sobbing loudly from the pain."Terra... You're going to have to calm down. I'm worried someone can hear you." Terra put her only hand on her mouth. Nightwing took out the bandages out of his utility belt, and began to wrap the stubs of where the demon ripped off her leg and one of her arms.

"Okay... Stay here, alright? If anything comes, use this." Nightwing handed her a couple of bombs. "I'll be back."

Nightwing ran to a room where they kept hostages.

"She is not here." The leader spoke, confidently. "Truth" the lie detector test read, that Nightwing had installed in his mask.Nightwing frowned, and was on the edge of crying.

"She's not here, Terra." Nightwing whispered, crying. He picked up a weak Terra, and began to walk.

"I-it'll be fine. At least we know she wasn't tortured here. What happened to her, anyway? Did she disappear?" Terra spoke weakly, on the verge of sleeping. But she knew she couldn't."Sh-she died. Let's end it at that. Do you want to come with me, or do you want me to drop you off at your boss?"Terra decided to ignore to comment on Ravens death. "With you. I want to se BB."Nightwing nodded, and began to walk to find someone to teleport them.

"Nigh- Terra?!" Cyborg screamed. "Get her to the med room, and do something." Nightwing ordered, putting her into Cyborgs arms. Still stunned, Cyborg ran to the med room.

"Where's Beast Boy and Starfire, Speedy?" Nightwing asked Speedy, who now lived at the Titans tower.

"They went to get icecream for everyone. They should be ba-""We're home! And I brought ice cream!" Beast Boy yelled excited about the ice cream. "Rob- Nightwing?" Beast Boy asked, sitting down the icecream. Speedy dug into his."Well you certainly got taller." Nightwing joked, and ruffled his hair."I'm 5'8 now!" Beast Boy said, proudly. "Doesn't beat my 6'3, though." Beast Boy frowned. "Look, Garfield. We need to talk." Nightwing said in all seriously.Beast Boy was licking his ice cream, in his cute cat form."I found Terra, and I brought her back with me." Beast Boy turned back to normal."Where is she?!" Beast boy yelled."She's in the infirmary. She's in bad shape..." Beast Boy frowned. "I'm going to lose her again? And I didn't even get to see her...""Garfield... I can't guarantee that she's going to die. She just lo-""Friend Robin!" Starfire said, hugging Nightwing from behind."Hey Star." Nightwing said.Starfire pulled away, with a huge smile on her face. "What are you doing, here?" "I actually came here to tell you all something... I'm going to need full attention. Cyborg already knows."Starfire nodded sitting on the couch, and Beast Boy plopped down on the couch depressed."Now... We all know Raven died. A month before she passed... Well... We had a relationship." Nightwing took deep breaths, trying not to breakdown. "And then she died. Just like that..." He sniffled a little, and continued."I got an anonymous tip that she was immortal and she was in Hell. That's where I found Terra, who is in the infirmary getting herself fixed. It turns out, I was set up. And I'm never going to be able to hold her again..." Nightwing whispered at the end of it, and everyone was teary eyed."Man... I know how you feel. I lost Terra... And I'm lucky I got her back. I'm sorry you had to go through this alone..." Beast boy whispered, frowning."Beast Boy, Terra wants to see you." Cyborg whispered in the door frame, and Beast Boy turned into a cat, and ran to the infirmary.

"I'm sorry, friend Nightwing." Starfire said. Nightwing smiled, and looked at Speedy who was eating the last icecream cone, that used to be 10.

"Meow." Beast Boy jumped up on Terra's bed, and licked her face with his small sand kitty tongue.Terra giggled, and petted him."Hi, Beast Boy." She whispered, and Beast Boy jumped down turning back."Hi, Terra." Beast Boy said."I missed you so much, Terra." Beast boy chocked out. "I missed you too, BB." Beast Boy kissed her deeply, and Terra kissed back. They both smiled slightly, looking into each other's eyes. Beast Boy turned back into a kitty, and jumped back on the bed, licking her face, which made Terra giggle.He curled up next to her, purring."I love you, Beast Boy."He purred louder, meowing. The both fell asleep.Nightwing smiled at the scene. 'At least someone got there happy ending.' Nightwing was really happy for Beast Boy. At least he's happy.Nightwing walked away, and was heading out. "Bye, friend Nightwing!" Starfire said."Bye, Star." He closed the door, and exhaled.

"I'm here to pick up my cat." Nightwing said to Alfred. "Ah, yes Master Dick."Alfred came back with Rae, handing it to him. "She was very good, Sir. Bruce was a little confused on why there was a cat in the house.""Did you tell him?""No, sir." Alfred said, smiling. "Thanks, Alfred."---------------

"And that was Raven." Nightwing said, petting Rae on the top of the building."So who did you love, better? Barbra or Raven?" Robin asked, eager to find out the answer.Nightwing looked at Tim Drake like he was crazy. "I loved Barbara, but I wasn't inlove with her. I was in love with Raven. Raven will always be my soulmate." Nightwing smiled, continuing to put Rae."Tell me ab-" Robin began, but quickly stopped at the bar signal in the sky. "Awe man, trouble! I wanted to hear about Jason!" Nightwing laughed as Robin ran.He stopped and looked back. "You comin?"Nightwing smiled, and ran with him to fight crime with the duo.

The giant black Raven bird watched them run off, and dissolved in the brick wall that was hidden within darkness.-----

A/N: aaaaand there we go! This was so fun to write! Most of you are probably like "omfg why did you do that?" And "You Bitch you killed Raven!" I did that because I wanted people to know that you don't have to spend the rest of your life, with your soul mate. You don't have to get married, have kids; to have a soul mate. Does that make sense? Dick still calls him her soulmate, even though she's dead. He is still in love with her, showing that she's still apart of him.And the end! I was actually not planning that ending, and it came to mind last minutes. I thought I'd do something like in Batman Returns where at the end of the movie, you see the black cat. Is Raven alive? Or is that her spirit watching over Dick? Who knows! It can be whatever you want! You'll are probably screaming at me for ending it like that! I'm screaming at myself!I wanted to make something different, and show not everyone gets a complete happy ending.And that is what makes this story beautiful to me.
